I hired Montgomery and Son when I moved to my present location in April 2004. They started out picking up my trash weekly with no problem. In late 2007 we had a bad snow storm and I called and told them they didn't have to pick up my trash that week because I live in the country and there was a lot of snow drifting and it was deep. They changed the schedule to pick up my trash only on the first and third Friday of the month. At the time I was living alone so there was no problem with that. However, when I asked if it would mean a reduction in price, I was told no, the price would stay the same. In 2009, my daughter and her new baby moved home and the amount of trash increased because of added people, diapers, etc. In 2010, I called and asked for the schedule to go back to weekly and was told, "Oh, no. I don't think we can do that." We made an agreement that I would put as many bags of trash into the trash barrel outside my shop as it could hold and what was left I would put into a wheelbarrow inside the shop (about five paces from the barrel) so animals couldn't tear up the bags. In early fall of 2013, after nine years of trash service, I misplaced a bill and did not pay. On 18 November 2013 I received a bill for two quarters. Realizing what had happened, I immediately went to my computer and paid for the unpaid quarter along with October, November. and December. My trash continued to be picked up as usual until on 20 December when they picked up the trash in the barrel but left nine or ten bags that were inside the shop even though the shop door was open and the trash was visible. The next pick up was due on 3 January 2014 but it did not happen. When I called to ask why, I was told I was highlighted on the pickup sheet as non-payment. I checked my on-line banking and saw the check I had sent on 18 November had cleared on 20 November. When I informed them of this, Robin became argumentative and then became profane when I asked, "If I paid and the check cleared in November, how am I showing as unpaid. On the next scheduled date they again picked up the trash in the barrel, but left the 19 bags of trash in the shop. I have fired them and have a new trash service that picks up every week.

Installers were extremely professional, courteous and efficient in their work. They showed up on time and even called ahead to say they were on their way. Great communication and very reasonable prices. Will definitely use again.
