I have spent approximately $1500 to replace parts and clean furnace so far. I am not unhappy about fact I have to replace all these parts and have it cleaned. Most of these parts did not have visible damage. I am unhappy that a major component was severely cracked, there to be seen and was not documented so I could decide if I needed to hire an expert to inspect furnace further. My furnace expertise only goes so far. I also thought the A-Pro inspector would have documented the issues with the guest bath plumbing. When one attempts use of these items the issues are very clear. For amount of money that one pays and the listed quality of their inspections per their website, I would have expected the above to be documented. Otherwise, inspection was very thorough and was very pleased. Will I use them again? I doubt it. This is not my first use of an inspection company or purchase of a home. These are major components of your potential home and have had better experiences when these areas were inspected as the open and obvious were documented in all areas. Incredibly nice, professional company.
Description of Work: I have been in the home almost two months since purchase and inspection. Inspection was very thorough as I was here at the time. I also paid $100 for them to come back and make sure everything was repaired that I asked seller to fix. I am finding after hiring more experts that a major component on furnace was majorly cracked and clearly visible when face plate taken off front. Guest bath tub dial not working properly as water shuts off in both directions, at certain point, before you reach extremely cold or extremely hot and grinding noises are heard. And in between shut off points water temperature is not coming through properly. Bath tub stopper does not work properly as tub will not hold water when stopper in the activated position. When guest bath faucet is activated, each time, grinding noises are heard as well.

We used inspector Brett Payton with A-Pro Home Inspection Services. Brett was a true professional and spent three hours taking us through the home inspection and answering all of our questions. Brett returned to do a follow-up inspection and some of the work requested was not done to completion. To support his inspector, the owner, John, came out free -of-charge and met with the repair person. John was assertive on our behalf and all the work was done to our satisfaction. We would use A-Pro Home Inspection Services again!

John Parker received the Inspection through my Realtor Charlie Ivy and Carol Jones Realty company. His office called directly to provide a range of dates that afforded me to conduct the home inspection, seeing that I was disconnected from the site due to me being 5 1/2 hours away. I made a date that worked for my schedule and he arrived promptly and began work after explaining in full detail of the processes, actions and areas of special emphasis or specific to the area that need to be checked. He identified additional possible things not required, minimal and possible future changes that he believed to be noteworthy. He completed the inspection, briefed me fully and in detail, stating he would provide me a written copy of the report he briefed within 24 hours, which I received within 4 hours without any variance of the report briefed. I received the well, water and termite inspection reports within 24 hours for the Mortgage, Realty and Title company requirements. I hold John and A Pro in the highest regard, recommend them to anyone, Buyer or Seller, for quality inspection of their interests.
Description of Work: John Parker arrived to perform a buyers home inspection, water quality for well certification and termite inspection.

I was overcharged for services not rendered.
Description of Work: I Hired John Parker, A Pro Home Inspection to inspect a rural farm property, house that I am attempting to purchase. I explained to him that I was an out of state buyer and a intense and complete inspection was very important. John and his receptionist Lyn sounded friendly. I gave him a four day notice. He met the realitor at the property on time. He was to inspect a frame home built in the early 1900's, updated in the 1980's. 1700 sq ft, 3 bedroom/ 2 bath, with central a/c and heat. All electric. I was quoted $275.00, plus $200.00 for well and septic. I was also given a $50.00 discount for being a vetern. Price should of been $425.00. I told him that I do not need the septic inspected. I thought I should of saved at least $100.00. Later that day I was told the inspection was available on line. In order to see it, you had to pay up front. He charged me $400.00. I paid in full. Upon checking his inspection, he spotted water in the crawl under the house, guessing it to be 6-8". Because of this he did not enter the crawl. All the plumbing is located in that space. He could not tell me where the main water line came in, could not tell me what the plumbing looked like, where the discharge line was located. He never entered the crawl space. I did not have any appliances to check. So what did I pay $400.00 for? I attempted to contact him after, no contact or response. I feel that I was overcharged!
