Description of Work: Ragland construction does repairs, etc. for Smithton Condominiums. They are prompt and do a good job. They have done repairs and water clean up previously and did a good job. We don't actually pay them, the management company does that part.

+ 0 moreChuck was absolutely fantastic! Everyone else I called was 6 weeks out (or probably didn't want to do a small job) but Chuck got here the week after I talked to him. He finished the job in one day and did a fantastic job! His attention to detail is phenomenal. For example, he drilled into the concrete slab to hold down the t-moldings he installed and instead of just leaving the screws exposed, or even just counter sunk, he counter sunk them, and then filled them with a matching color putty. Chuck is one of the best contractors/hand-men I've worked with and we will definitely be using him in the future for more jobs around our house!
Description of Work: Chuck put down hard wood floor t-moldings for us on our concrete slab and fixed a whole in the sheet rock ceiling.

+ -1 moreWe never met Chuck Ragland...we worked with Dick and Russell. They were wonderful to work with. They were always prompt, always showed up when they said they would be here, did everything we asked and then some...they did everything they could to please us and even did a couple of things that needed to be changed, but I hesitated to ask them....Dick offered to change them and did so quickly and efficiently. Our experience in the past with contractors almost kept us from venturing into this renovation because they never seem to show up when they should and never do things quite the way you want them done. Dick and Russell restored my faith in contractors. They went way above what I expected....and I am not easily pleased. If you use them, you will not regret it. We love the results of our reno.
Description of Work: We did a pretty major renovation on our kitchen, living areas...pretty much everything except the bedrooms. We had the ceilings scraped, 2 walls removed, kitchen gutted, all new wood floors and all that goes with this.

+ -1 moreSee above comments. Dick and Russell were extremely easy to work with and became good friends in the process of the remodeling. One of the things I liked about them is, they only do remodeling. As a result, they know how to protect your house and don't track through like new construction guys tend to do when remodeling an existing home.
Description of Work: We never dealt with Chuck Ragland, the owner of the company. We personally new Dick, one of his workers and contacted him for an estimate. Dick and another worker, Russell, did all the work we had done. Considering our previous experiences with building our house and repairs over the last 30+ years, we had a wonderful experience dealing with Dick and Russell. They were always here when they said they would be here and were always honest and above board in all their dealings. They were careful with our house and didn't destroy anything while here. We had our kitchen totally gutted, had the ceilings in the kitchen, family room, hall, main bath, dining room and piano room scraped and refinished. We had 2 walls knocked out and had hard wood floors put in all the rooms except the bath room which already had ceramic tile. All the work they did was done on time and we were very pleased. Anything I asked them to do or change, they did with a smile on their face and they went over and above to make things right. We couldn't have been more pleased.

+ 0 moreHe specializes in home remodeling and repairs and he is top of the line. The thing that makes him particularly good is his customer service. He is very personable and cleans up very well. I can't recommend him highly enough. He is not the least expensive but you get every pennies worth. His price fits the high quality of his work and the quality of his crews. They are very cautious of your home and protect your belongings.
Description of Work: I hired Ragland Construction to refloor the living room, install tile in the atrium, and remodel our kitchen about 5 years ago. He has done some smaller projects for us since then.
