They seemed to be more than helping. They are keeping our unit going, instead of replacing. The Geo Thermal is pretty expensive. I called them a couple times. Not only do you have the air handler, you have the ground source is in the basement. That pushes the Freon upstairs, and the air handler. You have to replace the coil.The upstairs unit, not just the coil, but the air handler. It was a chunk of change. The coil ruptured, and it was a seventeen year old unit. They ripped the whole thing out. It was a full day work.They were here at least twelve hours. The majority was upstairs, an 95 degree house. It usually goes out during an heat wave. Its when air conditioner goes out. The service techs are top notched We don't quite have the kinks worked out. Those two technicians couldn't have been better. Positive attitudes. The ground source is in the basement, an d the air handler is in the second floor. That was the stairs most of the times, in a hot house. Not one bit of complaining, anything. It was a good experience. Another provider wanted to charge close to $8000 for an complete replacement. They are still working through a few bugs. Let's finished the bugs. It got high humidity. The ground source needed the compressor extra torque applied, to make it climb. When a system gets old, getting it started, getting it twisted. Its tried to turn on multiple times. They were pleasantly amazing. Not just would, but have used them again.

It was a real quick visit. They just had to adjust the settings on the air handler upstairs. They working through the bugs. It was so high, a real quick visit. It was a half hour. The reason it was so high is they charge you from the time they leave the shop. Its standard these days. They are environmental worthy. It would be nice to not be charged until you get there, but I live out in the country. He was top notched, and knew what he was going for. He knew what they problem would be, and had the part in his truck.Very professionalism. They know their products, and stand by their products. The air handler they are working the bugs on, I can call them about the same issue. The ground issue was an extra expense. The upstairs issue when I call them back, is the same issue. It will be the same bill they charged before. I don't like paying for when they leave the shop. I think that is standard. The guy who came to fix the kick starter in the basement was excellent. They were out the next day. Punctuality was top notched. These guys tell you they will be here. If they are running slow, they will call you to let you know where they are at. They are very considerate.

The estimator was professional and punctional. He did not seem to be able to discuss the options but rather answered questions. So unless one is very informed prior to the consultation, limited information would be provided. The policy of the company is not to break down the costs for the installation. I asked and they told me the policy---you get the total cost, period. The estimate was one of the higher ones of similar btu and type of system of the 5 companies that I consulted. Given the lack of disclosure about the cost details, it is worrisome that hidden costs would surface post installation, especially since some others who have used Chapman mentioned this happening to them. When asked about the online mixed evaluations of their chosen furnace, the estimator was surprised and did not have much comment. They were very helpful in assisting with the cities loan program.

The house was getting close to 20 years old and I needed a replacement. They also checked for leaks and I was very pleased with that as well. Mr. Brunner was real straight forward, not beat around the bush kind of guy. The price comparison was the best, they were efficient, and they put in a good unit. I would recommend them to other members.
