JD Kelly is awesome! They always showed up on time, and worked hard, they never left the equipment idol. They did a ton of work for me over the past few years, and have always been wonderful to work with. They do more rough landscaping, so do not expect finish grade work, they come in with bug equipment get the job done, clean up and reseed. JD has a amazing eye for altering the flow of the land to capture the idea you are looking for. He will get everything in place for you so you can bring in the mulch, flowers, and trees to make everything look pretty. My pond was in bad shape, when he was done, the dam was repaired, pond was clean of debris, and drained correctly. Now the pond is healthy and thriving where as before it was pretty much just stagnate water. There was a few mistakes as there always is, but he corrected them as best he could. You will be very pleased with him, and his crew with the work that they do.

I called J D Kelly and explained the situation including that I needed it right away. I was told that she needed to talk to someone and that I'd be getting a call back. Although this was true it was 4 days later when I received the return call. By this time it was too late and I had already had the work completed by someone else. They are not very punctual or responsive and lost business because of this.

Everyone was very polite on the job itself. There were some weather-related delays, but all told, they did a decent job of it. However, they parked some pretty big equipment on my lawn and had to re-seed quite a bit. I was told by the city (this was within the city's easement) that the contractor would come back at approximately 90-120 intervals for a full year to check for problems and if the ground appeared to be sinking at all, would bring it back to grade. In the course of excavating, they dug up some enormous rocks, which they moved and arranged across the front of my lawn for me. They had already used a small bulldozer to shove my two large yucca plants and two large peonies out of their way, and then relocated them near the big rocks. Unfortunately, the pushing (the did NOT dig the plants up) ended up killing one yucca and one peony.In the months following, the ground did sink and when a hole began appearing at the edge of my driveway, I called to see when they would be by to "inspect" and repair it. Someone came by while I was at work, took soil from my garden area and filled in the hole. Another time I called because there was a fairly large area where they had obviously not put grass seed down. The young woman on the phone was rather rude and tried to tell me wind or birds had probably been at fault. She did, however, have someone come by and put down additional/new seed. My main complaint is that they obviously have NOT been coming by at ANY intervals to inspect, either on my property or that of my neighbors. The ground has sunk in along the entire lenght of the the pipe, from the sewer opening across the driveway to my neighbors'. Apparently they did come by to put more soil down next door, but according to my neighbor, it was mainly clay, and she couldn't get anything to grow on it. She planned to purchase good topsoil herself elsewhere...They've been in business a long time and tout customer satisfaction, but my lawn was ruined as far as I'm concerned.

It went very well. He was quite knowledgeable. They really fixed up our backyard. We no longer have standing water when it rains. We were pretty pleased with the work.
