Things went very well. Communication was quick and concise. The work done was phenomenal (the front door of a 20 something year old house that wasnt installed previously very square). Sonny (I hope I spelled his name correctly) took his time with everything and it shows. Very impressed. Handy Matt's staff is amazing as well, working with scheduling around rainy days and making sure I had done work to get rebates for energy savings. Very awesome!

Showed up. Was kind and efficient with the work. Finished very timely. NO attempts to extract more time or money from me. Great experience.

Worker was polite and friendly and respectful of us and our home.. I did have to call them to return to the job to finish it better. I was surprised that the owner did not come to do a final check on the work or call us to see if it was ok. However, I do believe the owner will work with you until you are satisfied. I would use them again.

I think Matt has too many irons in the fire. He is a realtor, a handy man and owns several homes. Being a neglectful handy man is one thing, but it doesn't say much about professionalism as a realtor. He has more email addresses, websites and ads than he can keep up with. Very disappointing.

My appointment was scheduled at agreed-upon time between 7:30 and 7:45 am, and I had all materials ready for the estimate so that I would not be late for my work at a hospital. I finally left for work at 8:00am, when Matt still had not shown up. He had emailed me at 7:45 that he would not be keeping the appointment, but I did not receive the email because I was not sitting at my computer. After calling him later and asking the reason for cancelling without advance notice, he cited bad weather (it was raining) and another job he was working on; however, he did not bother to notify me of this until the time of the appointment. He argued with me about why he wasn't there, and I told him I needed someone who would show up on time regardless of circumstances. He never apologized but continued to argue with me until I simply hung up. Warning: if you are a single femaie and are tired of being subjected to inconsiderate, rude contractors, handymen and other service men, do not hire this company.

We had been putting off these jobs for too long, and were impressed with the cost estimate Matt provided. His employees were prompt and friendly, and very considerate of other things going on in the house. They came the first day, and rapidly crossed items off the to-do list. The only issue I had was with communication. At one point, work was scheduled to continue on a day that I specifically said was not an option. All communication came in the form of google calendar updates, and I think I would have preferred a phone call. After replacing the basement door and the insulation, Ben and Andrew cleaned the basement like it has never been cleaned before. I don't think I would wait again for work to be done. We'll just call Handy-Matt!

The guys that did the work were professional and courteous. The work was completed in a timely manner. Will definitely call on Handy-Matt for future projects.

Matt & his crew did a wonderful job for us. He came and reviewed the projects and responded the next day with a quote. Came out on the day he indicated and completed the job in the time frame he told us. The crew was punctual & professional. It was so nice to be able to tell someone what we wanted and everything was done the way we expected. Plus with the wide variety of tasks - just going through one contact person (Matt) was wonderful! I would highly recommend Handy-Matt LLC to have any work done.

It was fantastic. The Handy-Matt team showed up right on time and I briefly gave a description of some heavy duty locks I wanted to have put on some doors for added security and to keep my kids from being able to get out to the pool, as well as some deadbolts on some other doors. I also needed some work done to fix a cabinet door and some weather stripping. I then left for work and when I came back, everything had been done exactly how I wanted and exceeded my expectations. They went to the store for the supplies and everything. I was absolutely thrilled. Thank you so much to Matt and his team!!

I called to get a quote on a concrete landing pad for our air conditioner and Matt was able to come out just a few days later to do so. I was shocked and impressed when Matt told me the current setup for our AC unit was fine, and if it were his own home he wouldn't pay the money for all of the work. You know you've found a good handyman when they are willing to come out to your house free of charge and give it to you straight like that! His honesty was refreshing and that's one of the main things I look for when it comes to people working on my house and car. We'll continue to use Matt for other improvements and odd-jobs around the house!

Matt had one of his workers install a ceiling fan in the bedroom. I had already purchased the ceiling and Matt quoted me over the phone what the charge would be. The handyman arrived on the date and time we agreed to and took about an hour to complete the service. Matt's handyman worked clean and and worked quickly to complete the job. Matt's service completed what I asked and it was done right. I have not had a single problem with the fan since it was installed.

I do not remember when Matt was here; I used January 1st . Matt showed up as scheduled with two young men as helpers. By the time they were finished with this very hard work the area looked as good or better than a professional landscaper could have done and was totally cleaned up. As plants and etc were torn out Matt or one of his crew had hauled it away.

I spoke with Matt, and he gave me quote of $35 for each light, and $75 for the faucet. I thought Matt would be coming out to do the work, but he ended up sending a 20-year old kid. 2 guys were supposed to show up, but only one did. He was 2 1/2 hours late, without a call. He had to keep leaving to get supplies, so it took him a long time. The weeding was the last thing he did. He said that he had a dinner to get to, so he only pulled off the top of the weeds and told us to put Round-up on the roots, because he did not have time. Matt then sent us a bill for $300, which included $75 for pulling the weeds. When I called him about it, he said that he had to remove a ceiling fan for one of the lights, and the faucet was a touch kind. I said that I would pay $70 for the two lights, because my husband had already removed one of them, and $100 for the faucet, and $20 for the weeds. I think the kid should have let me know that it was going to cost more while he was here. Matt agreed on that price of $190. I just thought that because he was so late, and had to leave so many times.We were not trying to be tight with money, we just felt inconvenienced because he was so late, and had to leave so many times. I asked for him to send me another bill at that price, but he told me to just scratch out the original price and just pay the new price. I said no, and asked again for him to send me another bill, because we didn't want it to look like we hadn't paid the bill in full. The day after the work, the faucet stopped working. Matt sent the same kid out to fix it. Two days later, it stopped working again. Matt himself came out and fixed it. 2-3 days later, it stopped working again. Matt sent a plumber out, who said that the hoses for hot and cold water and the sprayer were twisted. When we pulled the sprayer up, it would kink the hoses, and shut the water off. Also, the battery pack was in the wrong place. The plumber went by the book that came with the faucet. It has been fine since. I run a daycare out of my home. I was very inconvenienced to have so many people running in and out of the house. I took the first day off, so I would not have any interruptions when dealing with the handyman. The other times, I had children here running around. It was like a zoo. After a month, I still had not received a new bill. I text Matt and asked him where the bill was, and he had no idea what I was talking about. He asked me what work he had done for me. I told him that I have my own business to run, and don't have time to run his too. He still didn't send a bill. Last wednesday, he called me angry and yelling, saying that I had not payed. He said I owed him the the whole amount, because this had gone on long enough. I told him I would not pay him a dime over $190, and he said okay. I sent him a check for $190, the agreed upon price, and have not heard from him again. He does not come out to look before giving a quote. I think that is the problem. The lights were done well.

There was confusion at first as we tried to set a date. He told the days he WASN'T available, so I picked a few dates a week or so out, he sent a confirmation letter for a date that I had not suggested. It took a few emails to get this corrected, but we DID get it corrected. He arrived a bit early, which worked out fine. It was only an issue because I hadn't yet gotten home from work. He knew the job would take two people, he had another guy working with him (he arrived a little late, couldn't find the address.) While we waited for the second guy I was able to talk with Matt and explain the jobs. Matt quickly fixed the patio door lock. By the time that was finished, second guy had arrived and they started on the screen door. They installed the door well, even improving on the screws for a more secure fit. They were clean and did not make a mess. They showed me how the door works and had me test it before they left. They answered all the questions that I had. They were both very pleasant and personable. Here's one of the most impressive acts: Matt followed up with me a few days later. I wasn't quite happy with the door but wasn't going to complain. But since he contacted me, I told him of the small issue and we were able to assess and correct it via email. I would certainly use Matt again for work around the house.

I sent this company an email through Angie's list a week ago and still have not heard from them. I still hope they will contact me, sooner rather than later, so that I can determine if they will do the work and whether I am able to use them. So far, I'm very disappointed.

Matt was great and worked with us on everything we needed done. We have already contacted him again to do some more work for us.
