After moving into a house with highly detailed and intricate landscaping, we hired Bruce to simplify the look. He was quick to reply to our request for quote and made several personal visits to our house to take measurements, understand our needs and desires, and present a hand-drawn plan. The work began promptly. Bruce and his subcontractor (Evan Tennenbaum of Millersburg Landscaping) removed existing trees and shrubs, installed underground drainage where needed, and added a lovely dry creek bed to ensure that run-off on our hillside did not interfere with landscaping or find a way into the house. They took painstaking care to ensure that every rock in the dry creek bed and in a lower retaining wall area was placed in such a way that it hid the landscaping mat and fit solidly in place. The resulting design was beautiful and simple, and easy to maintain which was a high priority for us. Bruce added details such as decorative boulders at his own expense, after realizing that they would enhance the look but he had not included them in the original quote. When a few ferns turned out to be less hardy than anticipated, Bruce also replaced those at no additional cost. The communication throughout the whole project was consistent and forthcoming; there were no surprises, and any minor setbacks were handled professionally and promptly. In addition to his landscaping talents, Bruce was friendly, trustworthy and easy to work with. My only disappointment was that we ran out of yard to landscape!
