I would give them an A. I was pleased with their work.

They came out on time. They were courteous. They identified the problem and they fixed it, and they were gone.

My air conditioning broke on Father's Day, and they came out right away to fix the problem.

From prior experience with many contractors over the years, most would have said they had to replace the part immediately and the cost would have been 5x. I was completely satisfied with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

I've used Chapman maybe 6 times and each time had great service. My only complaint with them is that their price is not low, but if you go somewhere cheap, you are likely to get what you pay for. I live in a duplex, and if they come to do work/maintenance on one side, they won't discount any work on the other side (i.e., they charge the minimum hour/labor twice, as though they had left and come back). That's certainly their business decision, maybe I'm the only one that bothers. But once you get past the price, I don't have a bad thing to say about Chapman--"A"s are an easy decision up and down the board. P.S. They have a maintenance plan where they will come out every season and make sure everything is working, replace filters, etc. Depending on what kind of homeowner you are, that peace of mind may be worth the money. I believe it also gets you discounts on certain new equipment and free emergency/priority/evening calls.

very responsive. Answered all questions during bid process. Came when they said they would. Cleaned up afterward. Followed up several days later to make sure we were satisfied.

The dispatcher called me to let me know the service tech was on his way. The service tech was friendly and professional. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He did not have the exact part on his truck but was able to install a temporary part to get us up and running. They came out a couple days later and installed the correct part. I will call them again if I have any HVAC issues.

Great service, great people and very responsive. They came right out, replaced our air conditioner and gave us a loaner while the one we ordered was being shipped! I was extremely impressed!!

We've used Chapman for many years. We enroll in the annual "Comfort Club" so that we get the Heat & A/C system checked every 6 months. They always treat us very professionally. I never have to worry about leaving work to keep an eye on things as they work well with my wife & any questions can be handled over the phone. A check-list & summary of the job is always left for me to review. No problems.

The service rep that Chapman sent over was punctual and very professional. He returned a very detailed bid to me the same day. In the end I did not go with Chapman because their bid was the highest amongst the companies I contacted, but they did have a great warranty and service package that went along with the higher cost. I would not hesitate to recommend using them to anyone, with the caveat that they get other bids as well to compare price.

The 'comfort specialist' came out to our house and gave us an inspection and estimate (he informed us that our furnace was over 50 years old...). He then helped me find special financing options via federal and local tax credits, as well as a City of Columbia 10 year 0.50% apr home efficiency loan. The install took place over two days; and when they were finished, they left the work area cleaner than it had been before they arrived. New installs put you into the Chapman "Comfort Club" which means that they give you free inspections of the performance of your equipment for the first six months and one year. Even the techs that came out for my two follow-up inspections were very professional and courteous.
