I ordered my kitchen countertops last May against the advice of a few people who had used them. They had the stone I wanted and since they were a family business I wanted to give them a shot. I have had nothing but problems for the last year. They sent the wrong sink and then tried to get me to keep the one they sent They installed the bar top and one section of the countertop crooked and had to come back and fix One section of the counter top is cut to short and doesn’t have an overhang (which they tried to tell me they do all of the time but didn’t do it on the other ends of my counters) The biggest problem (at the time) was there was a strange film covering the entire countertop that they tried to convince me was normal on a polished stone. We figured out that it could be removed with a razor blade but when they sent someone to do it they worked for about 20 mins before they left for another job because they ‘were really busy’. They gave me the run around so long that I decided to take care of it myself. It took me hours to remove the residue and I was able to get them to take a few hundred dollars off of my bill, not worth the hassle but was appreciated. The natural stone countertop I bought was their most expensive grade they had, they told me the quartzite was stronger than granite, which is great since we have a busy kitchen and our granite (from another company) looked great after 15+ years of use. Not long after the counters were installed it began to chip. There is a huge chip on the edge from my daughter putting her plate in the sink and barely grazing it (it didn’t break the glass plate but did a number on the counter top). A few day later someone put a bowl on the bar and chipped the edge. The sink has hundreds of chips around the inside. They came to fill in the biggest chip and it looks horrible, like a huge blemish. The owners son told me that he wouldn’t have sold me this countertop for a kitchen, yet the salesman obviously sold it to me and touted it was the strongest stone I could buy. The owner’s son also told me that I should’ve noticed the film I had to scrape off when I came to approve the layout (it was inside with bad lighting and covered with dust). They told me before Christmas that they would take care of the issues we were having but asked me to wait until after the holidays since it was their busy season. I had them put in writing that they would take care of the issues later (which obviously means nothing to them). I called in February and they came back to look at the problems and told me 1. that they were not the end of the of world, 2. nothing could be done about the countertop cut too short and 3. tried to talk me out of rounded the edges of the sink more (for fewer chips) because I told be so dusty (even thought that's what they told me on the phone would resolve that problem). They said they might be able to make the blemish that they filled so poorly look better, but that was it. I asked to speak to the owner. He blamed me for everything, took no ownership for their faults and after 45 mins of no resolution he literally hung up on me. He called back a week or so later and I’ve tried to call him back 3 times with no response. The last thing I want to do is leave a poor review of this business but the bottom line is that I put faith in their word that the product would be superior and it’s falling majorly short, especially considering the price tag. Now they are not responding to my requests to resolve the problem. I highly caution anyone from doing business with them.

Showed me manager's specials in the back & I was able to find what I needed at a reasonable price.
Description of Work: Sales of ceramic tile for home remodel job.
Initial consultation went very well. Sales person was not real experienced so owner stepped in and helped. Ordering of all products went well. Small changes in plans were tolerated by them. They did overlook one area detail but adjusted well and got it done. Installers were very highly qualified and professional. All in all, I was very pleased. Price is always a shocker but I did expect to be paying about that much. Felt they were always available for questions and planning.
Description of Work: Installed vinyl flooring in two bedroom, laminate in one bedroom, carpeting in entire lower level, replace all woodwork.

I initially asked if all installers worked for the company, and were not separate contracters. I was told they worked for the company. They were separate contracters. When the contertop was measured, it was a simple measurement with straight walls. I measured myself, straight 72 inch front and back, no variations. The quartz top was cut wrong, leaving a 1/8 inch gap on the back and 1/2 inch gap on the front. This made it difficult for the tile back splash to be properly placed. It has a visual slope at the front with a lot of "mud" visible. The three hole faucet was drilled one inch off so that the handles are not equal on each side from the faucet itselt. Very obvious! The floor installer was not given the right instructions. He had only the initial work sheet, which was not the final work sheet. The tile man did not put down the antifracture waterproof level quick. He started with just the "mud" over the existing vinyl. He had the pattern in a straight line, the 13x13 ceramic tiles were to be staggered. He did tear up the tile and correctly do the pattern, but could not do the level quick waterproof barrier. (basement bathroom). He did not know the job called for 1/4 round to finish the install. He superviser was called, got it, but complaned about company not giving them the correct paperwork. The company complaned to me that tile installer didn't ask for the correct paperwork so it was the installers fault. The installer said that when he went to pick up the tile and mud and paperwork he was told that there was no other instructions to be given. I had an unopened box of floor tile, and a 3/4 box of floor tile left. The refused to take back for credit the unopened box. Both the floor tile contracter and the countertop contracter complained that they should each have been given the entire job, and they both "bad-mouthed" the company. The owner of the company did come out and view the job. She brought the countertop installer, who had cut out the holes for the faucets. She agreed the work was not right, but only asked how she could do a better job!!! They agreed the faucets were off center, but there was no offer to make any thing right. This whole installation appeared to be done by a group of people who were not skilled, but amatuers in all they did. I would never use this company again. Their showroom was top notch, but the work and final product was poor.
