St Louis Skylights

From the bid through completion, I was very pleased with the installation. I like the product itself and all aspects of dealing with St Louis Skylights was outstanding. I'm not surprised, given the numerous other "A" reviews that I read before calling them.

I had a wonderful experience with St. Louis Skylights. From the very first call, everyone was extremely professional and helpful. They were accommodating to my schedule, arrived on time, and fit me in quickly since our existing skylight was leaking. I was happy to find someone that specialized in skylights and felt leary of using a roofing company, etc. The warranty was a great piece of mind and we would highly recommend them.

Extremely professional and polite in the first meeting. When quoted the price, I was told the installation would take about 3 hours with 2 men doing the work. When the installer actually came to the house, he was alone, and was able to do the entire job in about 1 hour. Unlike the highly professional man who made the initial inspection and gave the estimate, the installer was a far less refined fellow, who when walking from the roof through the house, did so with a loud radio (on his belt) playing. The actual work done on the roof seemed to be very simple for these pros who do nothing but replace or install similar skylights all of the time. I just was struck by the time estimate given me for the job, which would have worked out to a little more than $100 per hour per worker, to the actual installation time and single worker, closer to $700. per hour. I am pleased with the quality of this replacement installation as well as the service. Everyone came on time and kept scheduled appointments. They also followed up a with phone call from the owner, which i was too busy at the time to answer or reply to. So far no leaks or cracks, and i don't expect any.

The skylights are really awesome. The company was average. We had some issues. They didn’t square up the first one of the skylights. So, when we put the drywall in it was covering like an inch and a half to two inches of the actual skylight. We kept telling them that they had to square it up but they didn’t listen. When my husband got home, he fixed that; so they came back and fixed it. It was not a very good experience.

We had a major leak in our skylight in the kitchen after a heavy rain. I called St Louis Skylight and Ken came out and inspected the leak and reported that our 18 year skylights needed to be replaced. He would order them and it may take two weeks to be installed. We were in the middle of having the house interior and exterior painted including the skylights. Ken came on a Tuesday and by Friday JC and Jason came out and installed the skylights just before another heavy rain. The Skylights were in, the painters were ready to paint and it all turned out great. JC and Jason were very personable and efficient. The instillation went off without a hitch. We are very happy to have done business with a company that did a good job for us in a very timely manner. We would recommend them without hesitation.

Showed up on time. Did the work on time. Left my house clean. Charged me slightly less than what they had quoted me. Easy to work with. I'm happy with the light that was added to a dark hallway.

They were on time. Worked with no issues. Finished on time. Cleaned up afterwards. Final result was as expected. Very professional.

The guys showed up on time and were very professional. They moved furniture from under my skylights and laid plastic to cover the carpet and catch any debris that fell from the skylights. They completed installing 2 skylights in approx 2.5 hours. The only complaint that I had is that one of the installers was smoking while installing the skylight. It's not that I minded him smoking on the job, but the smoke smell was coming through the opening in my ceiling and smelling up the house.

They were very skilled and the supervisor came by checked-up on them. I found them to be very personable and would have liked have more workers. The skylights are beautiful and happy with their work.

I found this company through our realtor and then found a 5% off coupon on Angie's List so I called them up. Kevin was outstanding to deal with and the guys did a quick and professional job. No mess, no fuss, no worries. As an added bonus they were able to get the job scheduled quicker than initially quoted. The new skylight looks beautiful and I would certainly use them again!

Once they finally came the install was great. I was told the installer would be here between 8 and 9am. He rang my doorbell right at 8am. From beginning to end the install only took one hour.

My neighbor recommended them. The guy who gave me the estimate was good. They did the work, cleaned up and did a good job.

They arrived on time, did the work as expected, and we had no issues with the work.

The product, itself, is fabulous, and the rooms have been brightened dramatically. Furthermore, the installation went smoothly, and I have had no problems since that time. Ultimately, I have nothing but good things to say about St. Louis Skylights.

They were able to match my old skylights which I appreciated, and the installations went well.

I don't remember being any more satisfied from start to finish with any company I've done business with (and I've been on this planet for a bunch of years).

They were terrific. They quoted me on a small skylight. Then the guy came back and told me that he had a 2/4 one and it’s bigger. So, I told him that would be much better. The skylight is beautiful and great. It totally makes the bathroom. The price for the skylight was $2200. I would use them again in the future.

Went well, company said they would be at my house at a certain time and they were and did the work as bid.

Jeff, who came out to give the estimate, was great. Very friendly and knowledgable of the product. When the two guys came to install the skylight, they seemed completely unprepared. They did not have the right scafolding for the job. The agreement I had with Jeff was also to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom, but the two guys who came said they could not do it. The finish work around the skylight was poor. The young man who did it clearly did not care about his workmanship. It was so poorly done that we requested it be redone and it was. Before they came to redo the dry wall work, the condition they left the house in was unacceptable. There were globs of drywall mud on the walls. They had also ripped off molding around the attic access and just left it that way so that access to the attic was properly sealed. Although we appreciate that they came back to redo the dry wall work, I would not hire this company nor refer them to friends or family.

They were great. They did an excellent job; we have never had a problem with either of the skylights. The quality of the skylights and their work was perfect. I have no complaints at all. I don't remember how much we spent; but I do remember that I did not think they were over priced.

They were professional and honest about what we needed. Other companies tried to sell us a new flashing kit; they told us that if we needed a new flashing kit, it would not cost anymore to do it later by itself (since it wasn't leaking now, anyway). They were quick, clean, and the right price!
