The building process was fast but after we moved in we realized why. Corners were cut and lower grade materials were used in almost every way imaginable. We have had several repair needed within our one year warranty and continue to find new issues that are now at our expense. We are going to make the best of what we have since we love the neighborhood. I am happy with the upgrades we have made with the house and in time it will be what we had thought we would be getting.

Their service was very good. They were very prompt, professional, and I got my money's worth. I would use their services again in the future.

Where do I start? It was a nightmare. After living in the home for a year, things just started going wrong. The upstairs sub-floor creaks like a 70 year old house. I was told during the build that all the sub-floor would be glued as well as nailed to prevent creaks. There is only one cold air return on each level. The air flow from the AC and furnace to the second floor is almost non-existent. Small trim things were just shoddily put together I guess in hopes that someone would not notice or they would notice after the 2 and 10 month punch-lists had expired. I told a friend this and he said, "Did you not know they are called 'No Pride McBride' for a reason?" To my dismay, he was not the only person to tell me this. Being a first time homeowner, I feel a little suckered because how am I to know what is normal and what is not? And once 10 months have passed, they are technically not responsible. I will say that I have worked with some good people at McBride who have helped me.

ALTHOUGH THERE WERE A FEW MINOR BUMPS IN THE ROAD, OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE BUILDING OUR FIRST HOUSE WAS A GOOD ONE WITH MCBRIDE & SON. SUZANNE KOELLNER, THE SALES MANAGER WAS A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. THEY HAD OUR HOME DONE WITHIN THE 4 MONTHS THAT THEY HAD PROMISED AND WHAT WE'RE NOT TOTALLY PLEASED WITH, THEY ARE FIXING. I LOVED THE FACT THAT ONCE THE CARPET WAS INSTALLED, WORKERS WERE INSTRUCTED TO REMOVE THEIR SHOES BEFORE ENTERING THE HOUSE. I WOULD CERTAINLY USE THEM AGAIN AND RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS. HOWEVER, TO THOSE PEOPLE I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO, I WOULD ALSO SAY, MAKE SURE THAT YOU THINK OF EVERYTHING THAT YOU MAY WANT IN YOUR HOUSE AND GO OVER THAT WITH THE SALES PERSON BECAUSE WHAT YOU ASSUME MIGHT BE STANDARD MAY NOT BE. ALSO, THERE ARE MORE THINGS THAT THEY CAN DO THAT AREN'T ON THEIR STANDARD OPTIONS SHEET SO ASK ABOUT IT AND THEY'LL GET YOU A PRICE. FOR EXAMPLE, WE ADDED WINDOWS, OUR NEIGHBORS HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS AN OPTION AND REGRET NOT ADDING SOME.
