Lakeside Renovation & Design

We were very pleased. Everything turned out very well. They were very professional and followed through with everything they said they would do. They were also detailed oriented.

While it took a while for Lakeside to get our job started (they had a lot of jobs in queue before us) once on the job they were excellent. They worked the job straight through, showing up day after day. They cleaned up every day. They made sure they did not damage existing hardscaping or landscaping. The installation was impeccable and the foreman (Eugene) was a perfectionist. If something wasn't right, Eugene brought it to my attention before I found it myself. It something wasn't up to his high standards - he redid and fixed it with no prompting from me.

I don't know construction but I know people and Lakeside was great people. I was confident from start to finish. The installation was a work of art. Almost 3 years later it still looks new. Obviously these people know how to install Hardieboard. If you need siding you want Hardieboard, and if you want Hardieboard you want Lakeside. My house looks great. We had hail damage to our roof; the adjuster called me and said we needed a new roof "and by the way, your house looks great." An insurance agent and a realtor had similar comments. Every angle is straight and true. Site cleanup was great. I expected landscaping damage but didn't notice any. They started right on time and worked right through to the finish. One small problem showed up a year later; they had a man at our house the day after my call, and the problem was solved within 24 hours. A++

They worked Aug 22-Oct19th. We worked with them from the planning stage. They also offered suggestions to help improve the plans. When they took off the two decks and started framing for the porch roof, the project coordinator came out and had us take a look at what we were about to do. He said that he believed the angle was wrong and he suggested changing the plan. It was something he caught and he spent half a day working on correcting. They adjusted it at no charge and it is improved because of it. Their workmanship was on point through out the whole process. The crew was friendly, polite, and fun. All of their subcontractors behaved in the same way. They cleaned up every day after they left. There was never anything left around. They have followed up since then, and verified that there was nothing else they needed to have done. They will also make an annual inspection of our house until we leave here. They also brought their own restroom facilities, which was a nice courtesy.

Lakeside has some quality products and they are expensive. I am not sure if it is the company or the products or both. We had to do have the windows installed in chunks so we could afford it. I think we are currently about half done. The sales guy was not pushy and he worked with us for weeks to answer all of our questions and let us see the products. The installers were different for the different sets of windows we had installed. I think they look pretty similar though from the outside. I do notice that the trim on one of them looks slightly different than the other. Luckily the windows from the first install are on the side and back and the windows from the second install are on the front. Anyway, the guys were punctual and professional and quick. They were done with each installation in 1-2 days. We haven't had any problems with the windows, but if we did, I am certain they would take care of it (especially since they know we have some more windows to install!). I would recommend them.

Selecting a company to complete our siding job was a tough decision. We had several estimates and Lakeside's estimate was priced significantly above the others. As we watched many different companies repair the siding on other houses in the neighborhood, we began to see the difference between the companies. Being somewhat of a perfectionist, I could tell I would not be happy with some of the other companies' workmanship. I was given several home addresses that I could drive by to see the work completed by Lakeside. I did that, and was pleased with the work on those homes. We selected Lakeside to do the work after Chad talked to us about our options and insurance estimates were completed. Chad was very professional, returning several times to answer additional questions, help with the matching of the color and meet with the insurance adjustor to help us match the estimate with the work that needed to be completed. This took almost 4 weeks (because of the insurance company, not Lakeside), and Chad was very patient and helpful throughout this process. Phone calls and emails were always returned immediately. Both Chad and Eric discussed the job with us extensively, offering their professional advise about certain issues, and were willing to listen to our needs and desires and fulfill them as long as they were sound building decisions. Their number one focus was to satisfy the customer while providing the best service and workmanship. Once the papers were signed, Eric ordered the needed materials and the work was scheduled. Another consideration for choosing Lakeside was their ability to meet a time frame that we requested. They were very punctual and worked very hard to keep their promise about starting and completion dates. Once again we were extremely satisfied. We were told that we would not need to be home to oversee the work, because they are known for their exceptional workmanship, quality and daily clean-up. I was leery at first, but now know that this claim to fame is definitely true. I would be more than trusting to hire them again, and allow them to work even if I was not able to be home to oversee the job. This alone was worth the extra price we paid. Eugene and his nephew were our siding crew. Wow, I thought I was a perfectionist. I have never seen any work completed to such perfection! The original builders put the home wrap in certain areas only, like patchwork. In one area, they even had it on backward! Eugene and his nephew covered the house like it should be done, making sure all ends were taped securely so no water will ever enter it. They also replaced some of the boards on the house that needed to be replaced because of the original shoddy job. I never had to question any part of the job. They did the job right the first time. If a mistake was made, they caught it and fixed it immediately. The siding workmanship is definitely the BEST in the neighborhood! It looks much better than the original siding job completed by the builder! Daily, the site was cleaned up before they left the property. All debris was secured into the dumpster on the driveway and all tools, etc. were locked into the trailer in front of the house. Nails and screws were also picked up daily. We were able to use one side of the garage for one car, and never had to worry about getting a flat tire. I mowed the grass two days after they completed the job, and never saw one nail or screw in the yard. The door that was replaced at the end of the siding job was also very high quality and installed to perfection! The installers were also top notch workers and very professional. I can't speak highly enough about the job Lakeside completed. Every step of the process went smoothly and we seemed to be the most satisfied customers in the neighborhood. We had several neighbors inquire about the company because they were also so impressed. We had friends in another neighborhood with nightmare stories about siding jobs. Others were extremely frustrated with the time it would take to complete the work and fix anything that they had to complain about. One person had to wait over 6 weeks to get a company to come back to repair something they had done incorrectly. At that time I realized, you definitely get what you pay for! The extra money was WELL WORTH IT! I would definitely use Lakeside again for any work I may need in the future. They stand behind their lifetime warranty with a yearly visit to the home to check for anything that may need to be secured. The lien waivers were signed and given to us at the end of the job. Lakeside is a TOP NOTCH company. I have now experienced the difference between poor to average work done by the builder and exceptional work completed by Lakeside. They have increased the value of our most expensive asset, and for that we are thankful!

Right from the beginning I felt comfortable that this was a company that cared about doing the job right. Tim did a fantastic job listening to our needs and putting together a proposal and then explaining what to expect. I took the time to get other proposals as well. Lakeside was very competitive in their price although they were not the cheapest. I went with Lakeside because of their professionalism and the fact they were factory certified for installing Hardie siding. Also, i checked references and found 100% of the people I called were extremely satisfied. When it came time to do the work, they showed up each day did careful work. Eugene and Larry were our two crew leads and both were friendly and professional. I am a real stickler on quality and you can really see that they did a quality job by the extensive flashing, clean corners and nice job touching up with paint. Our house looks and is better than new after the quality job performed by Lakeside.

From Chad to Dustin & his crew, all were professional, friendly and excellent to work with. Always on time, cleaned up after each day's work and they always worked hard. Would recommend them!

when they showed up it was raining and the told me they will come back again but never show up or call... he does not like the job probably because it is small job? insurance job ? I told him do you do this kind of work he told me yes but never show up again... picky guy wants to do big easy job i guess... I waited him a week to show up. waste of time. if you don't like the job just tell it.

I had rather bad hail damage from the storm that rolled through the city in late april. The insuence company was unclear as to what they were going to cover so I go several bids for siding since it was obviously damaged. I have steel siding so it can't just be repaired and I have enough understanding of construction to know a good company from a bad one. so with the BBB and Angies list I talked to a few companies and got bids, and Lake Side was by far the best in every catagory. They answered my questions and didn't try to sell me extra crap and didn't talk over my head. they were very personable, so much so that a few people living around me have hired them. They gave me a list of installs they have done, and I drove around one weekend and took a look, they do a fantastic job, they really take care of the details

Chris and his crew arrived right on time and dispite a temperature of 108 degrees they completed almost all the outside work that day. They came early on day 2 and completed the remainder of the work before noon. 2 weeks after the install the sales person came by to perfoorm a final inspection with me and give me the warrenty paperwork. I highly recommend Lakeside Exteriors for anything needed for your house.

After the initial phone call to Lakeside, a rep came to my home and explained the product (Hardy Plank) makeup, application and estimate. He was thourough and extremely professional (Jason). I agreed to the job after which Jason measured carefully around my house and suggested a few colours to choose from. I agreed to a deposit which put my job on the schedule. Four weeks later the job crew showed up ON TIME with a "straw boss, job site manager" who was present at all times. I felt sure that th e job would be completed properly which it was in 3 days. Jason called several times after completion to make sure I was satisfied.

They did a very nice job. The cleanup was good. They showed up on time. They carried a certain type of siding that I was interested in. They did a good job and I would recommend them. They did a quality job and I didn't have any problems.

Overall the estimate procedure went well.

The installation crew was very professional. the work was completed in an efficient manner with a very high end of workmanship. they did an excellent job cleaning up at the end of the work day.

We built our home 22 years ago through what was then Taylor, Morley, Simon Co. Thought we could save ourselves a lot of maintenance by going with vinyl siding so we went for that upgrade... 22 years ago contractors weren't using Tyvek or house wrap prior to vinyl siding installations and we found that we had a bad leak near our french door. The door frame was in bad shape and we knew we had to do something, but what? Repairing the vinyl siding in that one area was going to look awful--the vinyl siding has faded a lot through the years. We had seen James Hardie siding on a lot of home improvement shows, and although it is a somewhat costly product, we really like the look. Knowing from our previous experiences that vinyl siding eventually fades, we also liked the fact that although the product wouldn't require a lot of maintenance we will be able to paint it should we choose to do so. So, we were sold on James Hardie but who should we get to do the job for us? We really liked what we saw about Lakeside on Angie's List and when their bid proved to be a reasonable one we were pleased to have them working on our home. Our job got started a few days after we were initially told they would begin but we knew that if they had been working on our project we wouldn't have wanted them to drop everything so they could start their next job. When Chris and his crew, Mark, Johnny, and John did start our job they were here early every morning and were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were a pleasure to work with.

A great company to hire. My sales rep Andy Young was very thorough, patient, and informative. All sections of this company aim to please. The receptionist, workers, and owner himself all take an interest in making sure that you are comfortable with the work being done and they perform their tasks with excellence being the goal at all times. I look forward to hiring them again and strongly recommend them to others.

I had a good experience with this company.

Our experience was excellent. For them to do just the partial side or half the side and half the back, and the porch and the insulation we think it was around $36000. The price was excellent because we used several people. The quality of their work, their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism were excellent. We had some questions and the owner came out a couple of times and looked at a few things that we were concerned about. We used them in 2008 and things could have changed now. We would use them again in the future if necessary.

Andy Young was great to work with from the sales perspective. He was very honest and forthcoming about everything that would need to go into the proper installation of the siding. The price was very fair compared to a couple of other companys' bids. Billy Ovchinikov was an excellent Crew Foreman. He was available, helpful and always willing to talk to me about my project. On the first day, the crew noticed a strong gas odor - so they called the gas company and had them come right out to take care of it. Billy kept me informed all the way through the project and called me only when it was abbsolutely necessary. The house looks great!! I have gotten SO many compliments on it and driving up to it each day is a feeling I hope I never get over!

Contractor performed a very high quality installation and completed the entire project on schedule. Lakeside is a very good company to do business with. Project manager and sales representative were very professional. We have not had to have Lakeside perform any remedial tasks following completion of the intial installation.

The gutter people they had working for them I was not happy with but they were from a different firm. The siding looks good. They did a very professional job. They showed up when they said they would.
