They called and were here when they said. All I can say is that it was a very good experience from start to finish including the sales. Everyone was professional and answered questions and helped with my color selection. Highly recommended.

The workers were punctual and wokred non-stop, except 1/2 hour for lunch. Roof done in 2 days. Home don ein 4 days. Excellent company and repaired anything I asked for. They immediately responded to my satisfaction.

4/They were very courteous and professional. They removed the vinyl siding and replaced it with Hardie board concrete siding. The process ran very smoothly and was done in a short time. The difference is amazing. There is absolutely NO buckling like vinyl siding so nothing can get behind the board. There is very little sound from the walls when the wind really blows or it is raining hard. The exterior looks great. We could also change the color by having the house painted.,but like vinyl siding, we don't have to paint again. Lakeside also offered us options like doing one side at a time if that fit our budget better. As I said, Lakeside was very willing to work with us and for us. I would recommend Lakeside again and again.

However Lakeside Exteriors did a phenomenal job! They utilized all GAF components. Many bidders tried to talk us out of GAF components to save money. The workers did have a couple of accidents while doing the work. A heavy bundle slipped and dented our large gutter in front. Immediately the company replaced that run of gutters. These shingles are the heaviest GAF makes and we really love them but on a high roof they are easy to slide off when working. Once again one slid and scratched a new skylight. You guessed it --- Immediately we had replacement premium skylights. Here is the point: Any small or large thing that went wrong was fixed immediately with only the best materials. They had to run some big trucks up on our lawn as this is a very tall house. The trucks caused ruts. Immediately they brought in landscapers, loads of top soil, smoothed out the issues and the lawn looks great. There is absolutely no comparison between this company and ?Allen?. Would I utilize them again? You bet! Would I recommend them? Let?s just say I have never worked with a company that stood behind their work like this one. Would I utilize Allen? You must be kidding! With Lakeside i paid more but I received everything I paid for and the work was done correctly. Imagine how devastating it was to get a report from GAF that the nails Allen roofing put in all my shingles were nailed in the wrong place! For a shingle to stick the nails must be installed at the drip line. Allen nailed all the nails "Haphazardly" causing a very expensive roof project to fail in high wind. Plus the instructions require six nails per shingle. That should leave six holes when they blow off. But the shingles that blew off and slipped out of place lacked the proper number of shingles. By the way I am still waiting for a phone call from Allen Roofing to discuss this matter. Utilize Allen at your own risk!

Its a high quality, its terrific. I though its worth the investment, I'm very pleased with the work that they have done. The workman that came out and the guy that was sort of the crew chief was just excellent, he was very particular about how his crew works, and what he did and was very proud of his work. I think you get what you pay for.

The project was summer 2000. They installed Hardie board siding and painted trim work. Installed a new kitchen door leading to the back yard the project was completed in approximately 9 days.

They did not spend all their time bashing the other vendors’ products when they came to give the estimate. They spent time telling me about their product. I thought that it was an outstanding feature for a salesman. The products were outstanding. The new windows that I got have saved me a huge amount on heating and cooling bills. They come out once a year to inspect them and make sure that they are still okay. Their price was less than three others that I had priced for the same number of windows.

I got a bid from them to replace our basement windows (they carry a very high end product by Marvin Window Company which I thought would be expensive, but I wanted to see how much it would be). The windows are very high quality and if it was something other than the basement windows (and I won the lottery). I would consider them, but the price for the basement windows was more than double the other quotes I received. They've done other work at my home though and I was very happy with it.

Project to replace 30-year old custom-sized casement crank-out and picture windows. After a three day delay due to an error in product ordering, Lakeside responded with a 2-day installation blitz that went very smoothly. The windows look great, operate properly, and match the original appearance we were trying to repeat. Although Lakeside was not the less expensive provider of these windows, our past experience with them on a previous window installation and a complete house siding project (James Hardy fiber cement board), convinced me that for a little more money they were the contractor that I wanted for this project. I expect to use Lakeside Exteriors again when I next replace windows or doors.

Installers were professional and did a great job. I felt the company is poor on communication both internally and with the customer. Marvin windows are well built and high quality.

All went very well. Pre-construction review of the projects (measuring, estimating). Work was completed totally to my satisfaction! Warranty work on some of the siding was completed in 2010. They found the need for the warranty work. I did not!!

A representative from Lakeside Exterior came to my house and talked with me about what I wanted in windows and measured my two windows while he was there. A short time later, an installer set up an appointment with me to come out and re-measure the wiindows and to check for any potential problems. The windows were installed about 4-6 weeks later. The installer did have a problem with the upstairs window, but my husband said he worked it out somehow and finally installed the window. I intend to have Lakeside Exteriors put in four more upstairs windows next year. They did a great job!

The reason I went with them is I had seen the type of work they were doing for my neighbors. Everything was very neat and they cleaned up well after themselves. I was so impressed with the foreman, Billy, that I didn’t even get a bid from anyone else. I waited 3-4 months to be able to get them to do the work as they were finishing up other jobs. They were worth the wait. They were very thorough and I would recommend their services to others.

As they'd put up the shingles, we realized that the color was not what we thought it was. They worked with me to remove those and lay the next set we provided. He gave me a break on the cost of what they had done thus far and the leader was most kind and professional in offering a solution I could work with. Now years later, of course, the roof is still in great shape and I'd recommend them to everyone wanting a referral.

We immediately told the sales rep. Tim Paglusch who came to our home, we were not interested in James Hardy siding. We had done research to learn that not only was it way out of our budget, but that it isn't a good product from first-hand friends and family that have used it. He then told us that it's only about 30% more than regular vinyl siding. We again told him that we weren't interested in James Hardy to avoid wasting anyone's time on a presentation. He proceeded to measure and said he'd get back to us at a later date to sit down with us and go over numbers. He called and set up the next appointment to sit down with us and go over the numbers. The appointment date came and he didn't show. We waited half an hour to give him the benefit that he might be running late. Well, we called him, and he sounded shocked that no one from the office called us to let us know that he wasn't coming due to him being hospitalized. We felt horrible for him, but kind of annoyed with his company that no one bothered to let us know like they were supposed to. Finally, an appointment was made again to go over the numbers with Tim. He came out with a packet all geared towards the James Hardy Siding. Pictures of our house, examples of houses that have been done with James Hardy siding and what our house would look like. We kept telling him that we weren't interested in the James Hardy siding. Not only did he center the bid around the James Hardy siding, but didn't even include any example pictures of the siding we specifically asked for. After going through the packet, we finally get to the price.......$29,800.00 for James Hardy siding. We laughed. He then showed us the price for the 5" siding we had told him we wanted in the first place....$13,500.00, which is reasonable, but we had no examples laid out like he had done with the James Hardy. Folks can you figure out math? Remember he told us about 30% more for James Hardy. Look at the bids, James Hardy is over double, not the 30% he originally told us. Also, he didn't measure and account for the right number of windows we wanted. So, going forward after this, we have not received 1 follow-up phone call to answer questions that we had asked at the sit-down for color of windows, and gutter and screening pricing that we needed. We feel that the sales people are trained to sell you one product, and if you don't go with what they want, they could care less about you. I read this in previous reviews, but thought maybe given the reputation I had researched, maybe this wouldn't happen to us. Unless you want to dump 50k on home improvements with this company, they aren't interested in your business. Having a 30k budget to do some windows, siding, and roofing on a 1600 square foot house, not going to happen with this company! Tim, your roof sample book has been sitting on porch for over a month, please come get it, thanks!

The windows across the front of the house were becoming water filled as the seals had given away. It was a beacon for every door to door salesman trying to sell their construction services. I finally had enough and researched several replacement window products and companies. The reviews for Lakeside Exteriors were impressive so I contacted them. I liked the product and thought the pricing was appropriate based on experiences of those in my family. It was an excellent experience. The workman was very courteous and showed up on time. He made sure that he kept my carpets clean during the work and whenever he had to exit and re-enter my home. He thoroughly cleaned up after himself and except for the great new windows, everything appeared as before. There was a minor mishap with a shutter that cracked when reinstalled, but the company replaced the pair at their expense. They followed up one year later by setting up an appointment to inspect the windows and installation and ensure I was satisfied with both. Who could ask for more? I would highly recommend them.

I contacted Lakeside regarding an estimate in early March and they promptly called me to schedule an appointment for March 16. Chad Venhaus came to my house, that morning, looked around a little bit and then we spent a good amount of time talking about the specifics of what I wanted to do. When he left, I felt really good about the meeting. That was the last I ever heard from anyone at Lakeside!! So, around the end of April, I called Chad and was given a sob story about their "design/build" guy having surgery and being really backed up. He apologized for not at least letting me know what was going on and promised to keep me updated. I never heard another word until I got home, last night, and had a letter from Dan Merrifield, Co-owner/Sales Manager. The letter stated that Chad's last day with Lakeside was June 21, 2013 and they "wish him success in his future endeavors!" Dan introduced himself: "I will be taking care of you from this day forward. I have reviewed your project with Chad, so I'm up to speed. As Co-Owner of Lakeside Exteriors, I would appreciate the opportunity to reevaluate your project so you get the best deal possible." Although they "value [my] business" there was not a single mention of an apology for not even contacting me for over three months!! Now, I realize that, in the grand scheme of things, my project is a small one, but I repeat, WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GET PEOPLE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY, THESE DAYS?!?! I have sent Dan an email to let him know that I am no longer interested in doing business with his company. We'll see if I ever hear anything more.

This is a premier exterior remodeler in the St. Louis area. They were very professional in all aspects from the first time I met their design specialist to the very last nail that was picked up. They went out of their way to make sure that I was completely satisfied with my project. Every one that I dealt with was very kind and courteous, always making sure that I was aware of everything that was going on. Their craftsmanship is second to none, best quality that I have seen since moving here from the west coast. You can tell that the installers knew what they were doing and they also took the time to answer any questions that I had throughout the process. Everything went smoothly and the finished product looks fantastic. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. My next project will be window and possibly door replacement and I am more than confidant that Lakeside will do a great job with that as well.

They were wonderful. They were neat and tidy in their clean up. They worked efficiently and were courteous. They were very meticulous.

There work was a 10/10! I was not at home during the siding process, and did not see any of the work being done. There was no complications during the whole process, and everything went very smoothly. My house looks beautiful, and people stop all the time to ask about it, it brings a lot of attention. I would recommend them to anyone else needing siding work. Their product that they installed was guaranteed for 30 years.

Everything is beautiful. I am very happy with the work. They were very professional, from the initial contact to the workers on site. They cleaned up beautifully and did the job quickly.

They were great. I had a very difficult window project due to the construction of my house. It was a considerably larger project because of this but they did not charge extra after they had already given me a set price in the contract. On my large bay window, they were able to figure out a way to make a new window that fit and install it perfectly. They did put in one incorrect window, but they came right back and replaced it. No questions asked. They came back a year later to make sure I was still happy. Also, when they were working there were snow storms. After the snow had melted, we found some more debris that was covered by the snow. I called them and they sent someone right out to clean it up.
