Tom was great to work with during the entire window buying process. He was very patient. He worked with us to get a fair price on the entire job. The install went exactly as he said and the crew was very friendly and cleaned up each day when they completed their work. We would use J & J Siding again for future work on our home.

We placed our order and paid a deposit on 4/25/13. The installation was delayed due to siding not being available locally. The crew started on Monday morning 6/10/13 and finished, except for final touches and cleanup on Thursday 6/13/13. Final touches and cleanup was completed on Friday 6/14. The crew arrived early and stayed late and worked consistently hard from start to finish. The crew left the site in reasonable shape each day. There were no problems that I am aware of.

Dan from J & J stopped by and took a look at the problem areas. He was very friendly and knowledgable and spent sometime to explain the possible reasons for the problems. He informed me that Jake, their window expert, would stop by to further diagnose the problem. Jake came to our house today and he was also pleasant and knowledgeable. Jake took a look at one of the leaking windows and suggested that for the time being it does not require immediate attention as the window seemed to be properly installed and the leak happened only once after a very heavy rain on a windy day. He just recommended keeping an eye on the window during/after strong rains. Jack then inspected the second leaking window and noticed couple of spots that were not caulked properly. Even though, Jake was at my house to diagnose the problem, when he noticed the areas that need to be caulked, he went to his truck, grabbed his silicone gun and took care of the problem free of charge. I truly appreciate his great customer service. For now, I will monitor the leaks and let J & J know if the problems persist. We will eventually need new windows and J & J windows will be on top of our list to contact.

From start to finish the job was done very professionally. Shari showed us a product that was just what we were looking for. We were concerned about having to install new trim around the windows and door. The manufacturer cut and stained the trim to match. The finished product looks great. We will use this company again.

We had a wonderful experience with J & J. Jake from the sales staff was very knowledgeable, attentive, and honest. The installation team of Chris and Jenny were detail oriented, thorough, and professional. Our job ended up taking two days instead of the estimated one because we have a tricky old house and they wanted to get it just right. They took their time and were only concerned with making sure we got a quality product. The main installer, Chris, has been with the company for 12 years which means they must treat their employees well and that makes a big difference in the quality of work you receive. A few months ago, we selected another company instead of J&J to do our siding and roof because their price was lower. We deeply regretted this decision we had an awful customer service experience through out the whole project. We really wish we would have gone with J&J for the siding and roof because they were a much better company to work with. Although their price may be a little bit higher, it is well worth it to avoid the months of headaches we experienced with their competitor that, oddly, also happened to be rated high on Angie's List.

Three of the five picture windows (windows that are just glass and don't open) in the atrium area of our house had broken seals and were cloudy. We got several bids and J&J was one of them. The prices were similar among the companies, but we really liked Jake when he came out to do the estimate. He answered our questions, was straight-forward, followed up with emails, and was patient while we made a decision. He also gave us several different quotes so we could find the one that worked best for our budget. We even went by his showroom to see the windows and the trim. The final price was really good, and the installation was done on time and went well. The installation was very neatly done with no cleanup afterwards for us and no damage to the paint. The windows look great, and we are very pleased with them. Everyone at the company was nice and professional, which made the entire process easy. I will call them again when we need to replace other windows in the house.

I did not go with J & J siding and window only based on the higher estimate but still within the ballpark.

We had two different hail damage claims into our insurance company when I called J & J for an estimate. Jake met me at the house and had several excellent observations about problems with the current siding. He then worked with me to request a full house residing to be covered by Insurance (which they eventually agreed to do). It was a great win/win as they got more business and we got the entire house updated with a premium siding product (of course we did cover the additional cost). The work done by their crews was very good although they did tear some branches off of a Japanese Maple tree in our front landscaping. Jake came by and checked the work to be sure it was a quality job, which was a value-add compared to other siding contractors we have dealt with. Overall, excellent service and work. We are very happy we used them.

The first time the estimator was to arrive, I found out a couple of hours before that he wouldn't be able to show up that day due to delays in getting a quotation to someone else. We were able to re-schedule the following week for an evening appointment. The estimator was courteous and professional in his presentation. The range of colors of siding was better than all the rest of the contractors. He did talk at length about the quality of the underlayment they use for the siding that I thought was unnecessary, since this was relatively standard in comparison with other subcontractors. Overall the presentation was professional and prompt. I sensed this was a competent organization, and that quality work would be done. I promptly received a detailed estimate. J and J did not get the job from me since their cost estimate was 50% higher than that of the next highest bidder. I was somewhat surprised at this since other Angie's list reviewers did not seem to notice significant problems with costs from them. Based on my own experience at the quality of work done by the winning contractor (who was also used by my neighbor years ago), J and J would not have provided any service close to justifying the additional cost..

They did an excellent job. They couldn't quite finish the job where I had the deck so we would have to be tearing out the deck to finish the job. They agreed to come back and finish the job on that deck portion once I have it removed. So far, I have not done this yet, but I will give them a call when I get around to it. I was very satisfied with the work they were able to get done and that they were knowledgeable on what I needed to have done.

Unfortunately, they could not do the job. All they could do was cover it with vinyl, but that's not what I wanted to do. Like I said, I really liked him, but they wouldn't touch asbestos siding.

They are a fantastic company! They are a great company!

We could not be happier with the experience! Jake made sure we knew about all our options and the benefits of each. He suggested some small changes that made all the difference in appearance. They were not the cheapest estimate but they were worth every penny. You get what you pay for in workmanship and professionalism.

They did a good job. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. They did the down spouts on the gutters but they didn't do them all the way down. So I did have to call them back for that. I do think they are a little pricey. The guy was supposed to come in the morning but he didn't show up. I called him in the afternoon and he came right over.

It only took two days from when I called for them to come fix my trim.

It went great. The workmanship was excellent. We worked very well together.

Smooth installation overall. When there were any issues they were resolved immediately.

We found out about J and J's from Angie's list and our sales rep was really responsive, came out and gave a quote on a Saturday within a couple of days. We also went to the show room to see the doors ourselves and the staff there was very knowledgeble and easy to talk to. The installation went well but we noticed some scracthes on one of the sashes so we asked for it to be replaced and that took a while. Crew came back when the replacement arrived and had it replaced. All in all everybody was very professional, from the sales rep, the office staff, to the installer. I would recommend J and J to my friends.

Overall excellent experience. These people are true professionals and a pleasure to do business with. The installation people were thorough and did a first class job. They trimmed out three additional windows that were not in the contract. I told the installation guy they were not included and he told me his boss said to throw them in. Wow!

Professional salesman, without being pushy. they weren't the lowest bid but they explained what i will get for the extra money. the work crews were on time and professional as well. i highly recommend J and J!

The door and window replacement went very well. This was a very large project that included replacing 29 windows and 2 doors. The workers called ahead to confirm the appointment time. They showed up on time and were very polite. They also educated us on what they were doing every step of the way. The workers cleaned up behind themselves every day they worked at our house. The work began and completed exactly the way the sales person told us when we went thru the sales estimate process. There were no unexpected costs or labor charges. We love our new windows & doors.
