Jake really helped us out. We had some storm damage and needed it fixed ASAP. Jake was able to get us a quote within 24 hours and fixed the damage quickly. I was in a bind and J&J came through for me. I had read the reviews of J&J on Angie's List and I agree with previous customers. They were great to work with and I highly recommend them.

The salesman came to our house and give us an estimate for window replacement and reviewed the quality of their windows. He was great at answering questions and provided me w/names of people I could contact to discuss w/them their window experience & quality of windows from J & J. Upon deciding to order windows, J & J was great about setting up a convenient and timely date to start. They arrived on their start date and explained what they would be doing & when. The foreman/workers arrived in a timely manner. They were friendly, considerate and were very professional in how they handled themselves and the surroundings they worked in. They discussed with me daily what they had done, would do and expected time of completion. The group of workers worked great together (almost had fun), were efficient, hard working, considerate of their surroundings and did a great job cleaning up their site every day before leaving. There was a problem with installation of incorrect windows in the front of the house and the installation of an incorrect bathroom window. After discussing with salesman responsible, he agreed the front windows was a error in his ordering. The bathroom error he had no notes on my requests but agreed to make the change at no cost for install ....only cost for product. This seemed like a fair resolution because in reviewing contract, the correct window "was not" written on the contract. So it was my word against his and he worked w/me to resolve the issue. My advise for myself and others is to review the contract and make sure specific changes from the norm are noted on the contract.

They responded to my initial call quickly and gave me a detailed professional bid in a timely manner. Jake who did the bid was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and all around helpful. The job took longer than I expected but Jan, in the office, always kept in touch about delays or reschedules. They cleaned up after themselves and the job. All the installers were polite, friendly and professional. They did a very good job. As with every job there are things missed but J & J responded quickly and took care of all of them. They installed 4 doors with new hardware and locks, 3 storm doors, the gutters, downspots, fascia, soffit 2 transoms and 22 windows. They also installed protective glass over the 4 stained glass windows and re-hinged two of them. I thought the whole job went exceedingly well. I enjoyed the process which says quite a bit. We have received so many compliments from neighbors on how great it looks. Thanks J & J for your outstanding work.

They were the most expensive of the bids we got but he seemed to be the most knowledgeable. He came up with a solution that seemed to fit the problem we had so we went with him.

We've been in bad need of new entry doors for a number of years, but something has always come up to bump the priority of getting them replaced. Finally, the doors were in such bad shape they were the top priority. To compound the problem, we had to face an issue with our doors in that our doorway system is now outdated; highly popular in the 70's/80's our house has a double door from the outside, but a single working door on the inside with the "dummy" side being walled over. We thought about changing it to a door with sidelights, but our floor plan really doesn't give us the room for doing something even that simple. The big box DIY stores in the area didn't want to touch the door system as it currently stood. Another shop that was specifically made for windows and doors told me that I'd need a contractor to do the job because they didn't do it either! After going thru a number of actual door companies, I narrowed it down to two. J & J had the doors I really liked and didn't seem to be stymied by the type of doorway we had, and they knew their stuff! I wasn't greeted by a salesman who's answers to common questions was "I don't know," or made me want to flee the showroom after using buzz words that sounded alarm bells in my head. I was impressed from the start with our salesman, Dan, who was knowledge and made me feel confident in my choice of working with J&J. Having had things done on our home previously by so called "Contractors" (who had been properly researched and vetted) only to have the work have to be redone, I've become gun-shy and really high-maintenance. This didn't affect Dan at all. He was more than helpful and patient. He went out of his way to ensure that I looked at various possibilities and made the correct decisions, but he was never pushy, nor did he make assumptions about what it was I wanted or needed. And when he didn't know something, he said as much, but he always got back to me with the answer. All the personnel at J&J were always gracious and accommodating when I had any questions, or visited the shop. The decisions finally being made on door type, style, and accessories, the order was placed. They said it would take between 6 and 7 weeks, and it was about that time frame before the doors came in. Chris and Jenny came out to do the installation. The door looks fabulous! We thought they would have to tear down the drywall to take out and install the double door system that we had, but this wasn't the case. Jenny actually painted the frame for the new door at the shop so I didn't have to worry about getting paint on my new stained entry door. They took their time and care not to do any damage to the new porch when they ripped out the old door system. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience. To be honest, working with them was like winning the lotto! For instance, I noticed back when I was first looking into the doors at the showroom, that the top of the samples weren't sealed. I was told that when I got my door it would be. When the door was installed I stood on the stairs and viewed the door. It was stained. Dan came by the following day and asked if I had a chance to look at the door. He told me when it had come in they noticed that the top was basically raw (not painted or stained.) Jenny took the time to stain the top of the door for me to ensure that it was sealed! They took it upon themselves to do it, knowing that it had been a concern for me! Most companies would fob it off, hope you didn't notice, and not mention it at all. They'd just let it go. But the folks at J&J knew this was a concern and made sure it was remedied! What surprised me too, was that the door handle inside had been sent with two silver screws, (not really a big deal to me, to be honest!) But Chris or Jenny had noticed it and said they would get the proper screws for the handle! And I was thinking, really? It's just two little screws! Their attention to detail and pride in their work really shows. It's not just a case of get the job, get it in, get it done and move on, with them. You rarely find that kind of service any more, and when you find it, you appreciate it! We will definitely be working with them again for the other doors in the house that need to be replaced, and recommend them, hands down to everyone looking to replace their worn entry doors. You won't go wrong with J&J.

Everything went great! John told me that he recognized my windows & storm doors as theirs/35 years old the originals that came with the house. Great company.

We hired J & J to replace a very old, rotted side-entry door on our detached garage. It was a bit of a specialized job because the door was an odd size. The team at J & J was professional and punctual, and communicated well with us through the process. They also gave me a fantastic deal on a screen insert for another door in my house as part of the contract. We are very happy with the results of the work that J & J did, and we would definitely use them again in the future.

They were on time and did and excellent job on all the windows. They trimmed the new windows and removed all the old ones.

We have used J&J for many jobs over the years. As usual, this job went off without a hitch. They tell you what they will do and when and then actually follow through. Workers are professional and pleasant.

Work was performed on time with good workmanship.

The entire project went like clockwork. The installers never wasted a minute and worked continuously while at our home. The installers were very courteous cleaned up the work site each day before leaving. The finished product more than met my expectations. Excellent fit and finish. All this was performed in winter weather conditions near the Christmas Holiday. Never had any problems during the construction phase. The office management team was helpful and could answer any questions I had (which were few).

I have worked with contractors for years, and this was my best experience ever! I got the feeling they were going to do it right whether I checked on them or not. They also communicated well - a classic problem with other contractors. They were respectful, patient, knowledgeable, experienced, priced fairly (especially for the quality), and had integrity. Once they got the old rotten wood removed they uncovered that the backing should be shimmed out with another piece of material so the new piece would be at the right depth. I don't think there is any way they could have known what would be back there. I am pretty sure that most siding companies would have just installed the new piece and never mentioned it. J&J went and got a second piece to optimize the depth and then installed the replacement siding piece. Top notch! Such attention to detail! This is rare to find in contractors. Throughout the process I could tell they knew the right way to do things, and they are in the business of doing things right. A workman can cover up shoddy work, and if you aren't there watching the whole time or if you aren't an expert then you may never know. It is important to us to work with people who do quality work even if we aren't experts and even if we aren't watching. I heartily recommend J&J.

J & J had already installed new patio doors at my home. I was pleased with their work, so I called them when I was ready to do repairs on a rental property. Their sales person called me, and came by to discuss the repairs. Then they sent me a proposal listing all my options. I selected the ones I wanted them to do and they came and did the work. There was a short delay because of scheduling issues because one of the tenants in the building was out of town . But otherwise, work was completed in a timely and professional manner. I have had only good experience with this company.

We called J&J and they came right out and fixed the problem. They were very curtious and proffessional and we will highly recommend them to our family and friends.

We had a small (4') section of siding blow off in a storm. We were worried that it was a small job and most companies wouldn't be interested. I called several siding companies listed on Angie's List and 2 said they would take a look at it. Jake from J&J came out the same day, sent me a quote the next day, and had someone come to repair the siding the day after that. He was a pleasure to deal with. He was extremely knowledgeable, and even pointed out some problems we were having that we hadn't noticed (gaps where the window lintels had warped). Although he didn't think he'd be able to match the siding (it's about 20 years old), we can't tell the difference - it matched perfectly. I would definitely use them again and recommend highly.

I met with about four siding companies before finally deciding on J&J Siding. J&J's bid was complete, accurate and on time. Their pricing was towards the higher end, but not unreasonable. Jake Parker and the team in the office were a pleasure to work with, and really went out of their way to make me satisfied as a customer. Ultimately, what really sold me on them was finding out that J&J had kept the number of their siding crews down, so that Jake could keep up with the estimating and still be on site every day to catch any mistakes and make sure the customer was still satisfied. But I have to say, there were very few things to be corrected because his crew is excellent. As a home owner who has literally had a dozen contractors on site as I gut rehab my house, I have to say that they are probably the most conscientious work crew I have had on my property. The other thing that sold me on J&J, is their attention to making sure that the customer gets a well wrapped, well taped, and well flashed job. This is one of the places where substandard work can be performed, without most customers really knowing what's going on. Their flashing is a thing of beauty, if there is such a thing. I just don't know how else to recommend them. These guys make sure that everything you CAN'T see was done the right way. What else is there?

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with J & J. From the initial sales call, through the punctuality of the specialists measuring, to the office staff, to the installers, to their responsiveness. This firm was priced in the middle of our estimates, but if you want quality that will last, they should be your choice. One thing stands out to us: An addition (which we did not install, NOR did J & J) hid poor construction underneath the old siding. J & J, instead of patching over it quickly, took an extra 1-2 days to fix it properly (at no cost to us). I asked Jake, the foreman, why? and his reply says it all: "We plan to be in business in 20 years, and we want our product to be just as good then as it is today." Wow! They didn't have to do that, but their integrity demanded it. The siding installers were amazing as well: thorough, kind, clean. We've already noticed how more comfortable we are with our new windows and with the hidden problems fixed properly. I imagine as the winter progresses, we'll notice even more comfort in our previously drafty house. Thanks, J & J!

We originally obtained bids from four different companies before selecting J&J. Although J&J's price was on the high side of our estimates we felt we would end up with a better end product from their company. We worked with Jake Parker who provided good ideas for our work and was always very professional. We worked with three different crews--one for siding and fascia, one for windows and doors and one for gutters. All did an excellent job and were very timely and courteous. We are very pleased with the work done and the appearance of our home. We have absolutely no negative comments regarding J&J and would definitely call them for any other work which needs to be done.

They did a fantastic job with the project. The salesman was the nicest salesperson that I have dealt with in a long time. He did a great job of explaining everything and brought plenty of samples to show us. Overall a great experience. Jan, the person in charge of the office, kept us up to date with everything that was going on during the entire process. They are absolutely great folks.

The important thing to note here is that J&J was the only window or door company I contacted that would replace just the glass part of the patio door. They were also very decently priced. They did a fantastic job replacing the door. The entire appointment was extremely quick and professional. My only gripe was that I had to call them in order to get an update on the status of the glass order. I didn't hear from them for a little while and once I called, I found out that the glass was on back order and would be in shortly. If they would have been proactive and let me know that the glass was on back order, I wouldn't have had to wonder what was going on. Regardless, they were extremely friendly to work with and I'd use them again.

Jake came out quickly to do an estimate. (Because it was such a small job, many Angie's List companies wouldn't even come out.) They kept me informed of status of mounting blocks that were ordered. I never had to call for an update. When the parts came in, they quickly came out and replaced the siding, did some minor siding repairs, installed the mounting blocks and new lights. The crew was polite, efficient and professional. I hope I don't need to replace my siding anytime soon, but I would definitely use them to replace the siding. Even though we were a very small job, I felt like we were treated with the same attentiveness and professionalism as a full siding installation.

They spent a lot of time talking to me on the phone with what I needed. Then came out and gave us a good price, but we did go another direction.

I contacted J & J Siding and Window Sales initially to repair storm damage to the wood siding on my house. My Insurance company advised that I would be penalized if I submitted a claim that was lower than my deductible. The proposal J & J submitted was less than my deductible so I decided to ask if they would be willing to replace some additional siding that was badly weathered. They agreed and sent me a revised proposal. After this was finished, I noticed that the siding on my chimney needed to be replaced. Again J & J submitted a proposal, I accepted and the work was performed. The siding on my house is the board and batten style. J & J provided and installed the required lumber. They also carried away all of the used lumber and debris. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work performed and the pleasant conversations I had with the supervisory personnel. I felt very comfortable doing business with this company.
