The whole experience was good. Jerry, the salesman, gave me all the information about the products - features and benefits. They were not my lowest bid but I chose them because of the ease of doing business and I felt it would be a better quality job than the lowest bidder. Jerry was very professional and was fine with allowing me to take my time to make a decision. The company was happy to provide me with proof of insurance prior to me signing the work order. The measurer, Dan, was very polite, and helped describe paint color. I was given an estimate of time until installation, and it was correct. Chris and Nick did the installation and I was happy with them. They were professional, and tried to keep things clean during the installation - vacuumed a number of times. I also liked the way Chris showed certain things to me and told me what he was going to do to make sure things would go well - if he had to do something "extra", like more caulk or something, he would go the extra mile. The work was completed to my satisfaction and I would recommend this company to others who want a job well done.

Small repair job but was never completed.

Our basement door was not installed properly by the previous owner. I found J & J on angie's list and they were awesome! from the sales guy to the Jan in the office to Jill the installer. We felt the price was fair considering we had been quoted $4000 by another door company. Dan, the salesman, knew his doors inside and out. Jan kept me in constant update about the door and the installation time. They showed up when they said they would and the door was installed perfectly. We could not be happier with the results. we would definitely use this company again!

I have had them replace a window twice. Both time they came when promised and the windows are very nice. This review is for a new kitchen window with internal blinds. We are remodeling the kitchen and wanted a new good looking window as the first step. I will use them again.

The individuals who performed the work were prompt and did the job correctly. When I pay for a service, I expect the work to be technically correct, which it was. They cleaned up after themselves and ask if I was satisfied with their work before they left. I was happy that J and J were receptive to my relatively small job, and addressed my needs quickly.

Everything from the sales, installation and post service was done exceptionally well. The windows were installed with quality and done quickly. They even fixed a broken window, taped it up after measuring to order new glass and installed that promptly. Overall, I really am impressed with the service. The price was a bit higher than I expected, but they worked with me on using different windows in order for it to meet my budget.

With the exception of the gutter installation everything went as expected. They did a good job fitting flashing around existing shutter mounts to keep original house features. Gutter installation required a second visit to remedy oversight of original routing request. This was fixed about a week later to our satisfaction. Overall good experience and would use them again.

J&J returned at no charge tofix the problem. The doors works perfect now.

The price was very good, and the dominant factor in my choice. They were easy to work with, and made the repairs as promised. They look great.

The installers did a great job. There were a couple of windows that were problems due to the age of our house and brick being on the wall. Jonathan figured out what to do in order to get the windows in without causing damage to the brick. They had to come back the next morning with some other materials to get the 2 windows finished. The next morning they called me into the kitchen to see how the windows looked after they were installed. I was more than satisfied with the results. The installers were friendly and respectful and answered all of my questions. I would recommend J and J Windows to anyone needing new windows.

The project went well. I called last fall and Jake came out to the house for an estimate within a week. Because some of my siding was lost during a storm, Jake let me know that they may not be able to match the color exactly. That was fine with me. The color they had was very close and not noticeable from the street. I felt comfortable knowing what to expect before agreeing to a price. He sent me a quote via email in a couple of days. Then I waited forever before calling them back. About 2 weeks ago (spring), I called them back to inquire about either starting the work or getting a new quote. No new quote needed! The crew was at my house as soon as the rain stopped long enough for some things to dry out! They called on Friday to let me know they plan to arrive Monday (weather permitting) and by Monday evening, everything was done! The work looks great!

I would highly recommend both of those services.J & J did quality work. They didn't have any problem doing the work.It was actually one man who did the whole house by himself. Everything that they did was excellent.

This was our 5th window job with J&J over the past three years. Each time is perfect. For the first job we took five bids from well-ranked Angie's List providers. J&J was mid-priced and did excellent work. We have returned to them directly each time after that job. They have now replaced over 30 windows in our house, and we don't have a single complaint. The windows that J&J carries are nice, in our budget, and a huge improvement over the standard window. The windows seal tightly and let in much less UV light than the tinted double-hung windows we had. We've replaced the original 17 year old double hung windows with casement windows and fixed windows. I'd recommend considering this. Casements are easier to open, have a tight seal, and are easy to clean. Fixed windows don't open, but in a house with a lot of windows these mix in nicely to decrease the replacement costs and increase energy efficiency. We also chose to have tempered glass, which is a thicker, safer glass product. The new windows have improved the livability of our home significantly. Rooms that were once drafty in the winter or too hot in the summer sun are now the right temperature, and our heating and cooling system is running less often. Installation by J&J is easy. They arrive on time, clean up completely, take care not to damage the paint or trim, and are nice folks. They also let us know if they see any problems in the area while they are doing the work. We had a small leak problem in our new roof above a trim detail that they discovered while removing a window. They caulked the area (as it should have been done by the roofer) and stopped a small problem (caused by another contractor) before it became a big problem for us. Of all the contractors I've used, J&J is the best.

They were amazing. There was a team of about 6 people, and they were still working when I got home. I have never seen a group of workers work so hard! The product was really well done, and they cleaned up well after themselves. They were fantastic.

Jake was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done to stop my water leak problem. i was very pleased with the beautiful job they did.

Chis replaced the sliding glass door. He made sure the door fit properly and that water would not be an issue again. The quality of the installed door far exceeded what we had before and has a lifetime warranty. The siding crew was efficient and very hard working. When rain delayed the start time they worked until dark to make sure the job would be finished on time. The customer service that Jake provides sets J and J apart from the other services. Jake stopped by numerous times during the installations making sure the project was on track and to answer our questions. We had replaced the door three times before but water damage continued to be a problem. Jake was able to detect where the water damage originated and knew how to correct the problem for good. We have worked with many contractors over the years and J and J is by far the most professional.

From the first quote, we learned more about windows than we had from any other provider. Dan, the manager, was very professional and thorough. We had some special needs for noise reduction as a new highway was just built behind our house plus we have frogs. We also had a lot of siding damage from squirrels chewing on the siding. Finally, a decorative shelf above the front door had slipped down. The installer that had put on our siding several years ago had failed to nail it on properly, so it had to be redone. Once we decided to go with J&J, communication was excellent. They called to let us know when the siding repair was to be done and windows were in and make sure we were available. We had some special requests for timing, and it was no problem. The installers arrived exactly on time and were great. They did an excellent job of removing the old windows and putting in the new. We had a few windows replaced 4 years ago and it was a disaster. The installers did major damage to the window casings and poorly sealed the new windows. J&J did it right the first time. There were a couple of issues. A screen had a hole in it from the factory and one window was not configured as ordered. Both were replaced promptly. We have had a lot of work done to our house over the years and J&J was top notch. Not the cheapest, but work is excellent. The siding repairs are invisible, the door trim has been fixed permanently and the house is incredibly less drafty and the noise is much better. Per Dan's recommendation we put laminated glass in the basement bedroom. To test it out we opened the window (a slider) and of course you clearly hear the road noise. Slide the window closed and it is like flipping a switch. We can still hear it a bit, but although I am a light sleeper, it would be no problem. Overall, I highly recommend this company for their quality of work and the quality of products. The windows are great. So nice to be able to open and close them easily yet no drafts!

I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience has been with this company. From the first contact to the last it was nothing but a pleasnt experience. I did not feel pressured into anything..I was given time to make up my mind and was kept up to date regarding the work. They tell you they can't guarantee the color will be an exact match for the siding because of fading from the sun..mine matched perfectly! The price seemed a little high but if you want it done right with no worries and no hassles..this is the company to use!

Excellent. Tom Ernst is outstanding in providing information and advice about their products. He is very prompt in getting a very detailed bid to you. Everyone at the office are friendly and helpful. They are quick to let you know if there is any delay or problem with your project. The installers are great. They are on time and courteous. They truly do quality work and are quick to offer useful suggestions if problems arise during installation. This is the second time we have used J & J with superb results. We are planning to use them again to complete our window replacement project.

I had initially received a bid from this company in June of 2014 but decided to wait until had more money saved up. Dan Mohan was aware of my plan and contacted me at the beginning of this year to see if I wanted to proceed - no pressure on me whatsoever. Even when I called him out of the blue b/c I thought I needed an emergency window repair, he was happy to come out and look at my problem despite knowing I had to wait on the soffit work. There was no increase in the bid despite my waiting. The crews did a phenomenal job. They are hard workers and got everything done in 3 days. Even neighbors have commented how "freshened up" my house looks now. The office staff were wonderful in keeping me informed as to when everything was going to take place. I highly recommend this company as they are very reliable, professional and quality conscious.

The experience was smooth from scheduling an estimate, to follow-up on delivery timelines and through installation. We had 18 new windows installed and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. The sale associate was thorough, listened to our requirements and matched us to the right product. The scheduler provided prompt feedback and followed through on communications. The installers were professional, efficient and did a great job cleaning up when the job was complete. I would highly recommend J&J.

They did a high quality job with some earlier projects, so I hired them to do some siding. The ended up destroying some new gutters I had recently installed. I had to wrestle with the company to get everything fixed finally. Overall, they did high quality work, but it's not worth the frustration of dealing with this company.

J & J Siding and Windows was great to work with. I did a lot of research online about the window brands they quoted me on versus the windows another company quoted me on. We did not want to replace our windows with another builder-grade window like our house had been built with and the Verde windows seemed of a high quality at a reasonable price. The salesman (Matt) was very knowledgeable and brought samples for me to see the quality of the product. He followed up with me while I was still making the decision, but was never pushy or overbearing - just very friendly. The installers were great (Jen and Nick I believe). They were extremely clean, very efficient and cleaned up their work space after they were finished as if they had never been here. The office scheduler (Jan) was also very kind, kept me up to date on the installation schedule (as weather needs to be taken into account) and was very customer-service oriented. As more windows need to be replaced in our home in the future, I would use J & J again in a heartbeat.

They were very easy to work with and very responsive. This was for my rental home, and I had some scheduling issues because I couldn't reach the renters. They were very nice and understanding and worked around my communication issues to fit us in their schedule quickly. The results look great and the renters are very happy with the quality. They mailed the warranty to me instead of leaving it at the rental property, which I felt was thoughtful.
