REPRESENTATIVE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND DID A GOOD JOB

I was given a discount because I was a first time customer and had heard about them through Angie's list. The service was great: on-time, courteous, and professional.

The first spring in our new home brought with it a substantial ant problem, even up to the roof of our 2 story home. After calling several companies for pricing we settled on this one. They did their job as scheduled and the problem went away and has not returned. Overall very uneventful experience, exactly as you'd want.

We met with Jim. He performed an excellent and thorough inspection. I had intended on using this company for the work. For his part, I would rate Jim all "A's". However, when I called back less than a week later to ask him questions, the company kept trying to defer me to other employees. Because I had questions regarding specifics on our property I was persistent in wanting to talk to Jim. Finally, I was told that the same week he performed the quote, the business officially transferred to new ownership by a pre-existing company and Jim was not available. The fact that I was not told "upfront" about the company transfer is the cause of the "C" rating for professionalism. Because of this and that the new company doesn't have many reviews on Angie's List I decided to go with another company. I was assured that the employees from Woods Mill transferred to the other company so the service quality would remain good, thus, I expect that the new company will do well and I wish them good luck.

Excellent. The exterminator explained what he was doing, what would be involved in follow up visits, and estimated cost. Very nice and professional.

Very quick to respond! I left a message Mon night and Tues am at 8:30 my phone call was returned. That aft Rich came and set up the mole traps . He also noticed some bees behind a shutter and took care of that with me even asking! I would HIGHLY recommend them- very friendly!

It was a bit difficult to get an appointment, they get fairly booked out in the spring. However, once I had the appointment the gentleman who came to spray the basement and exterior foundation was right on time (9 am). This was not the case for the carpenter bee treatment. The first gentleman told me he had to wait for a second person, the "bee guy" to come in order to perform the treatment. He waited in his van for almost two hours (until noon). Without telling me what was going on he left abruptly. I assumed he went someplace for lunch. Finally at 3:30 pm I called and was told that they couldn't get to me today - how about tomorrow evening about 6:30 pm? According to the "bee guy" evening is a good time to treat for bees because they are back in their nooks. This worked perfectly with my schedule as I was home that week with my 1 year old twins and didn't want anyone hauling a ladder around the outside of the house while they were taking their much-needed naps. However, the next day at about 3 pm (about 30 minutes into afternoon naptime) I was startled to hear a ladder scraping around the outside, right outside the nursery. I walked outside and told the gentlemen they would have to leave, I was a bit angry to be honest, and that my appointment was for 6:30 pm. Neither of the gentlemen was the one to whom I had spoken on the phone so they had no idea what I was talking about. I think the company has a bit of an issue with communication, both internally and with their customers. However, all of this being said, they did come back the next evening, finished the bee treatment (which worked), and billed me for about half of the amount owed (which I refused to accept, I wasn't that angry). I have since recommended them to my neighbors who have quite an issue with both carpenter bees and red wasps. My only suggestion is that when making an appointment, be absolutely clear that you need them to come at a specific time if this is the case.

Jim and one of his techs came to our house at the scheduled time and performed the treatment method we chose to go with. I am completely satisfied with how everything went considering the fact that the overall job to get our home back in shape has been a large task. I have already recommended WMPC to several friends and will have them out to inspect and treat my mother's home soon.

We have a groundhog visiting our vegetable garden, eating the veggies. It was here last year as well so, we decided to call Woods Mill because they had taken care of a squirrel problem for us last year. The young man came out and he and my son determined that it was living under the large shed in our yard. He placed a couple of traps where he thought the animal was coming out at and baited them.He came back to check a few days later and to rebait the traps. About a week later the gentelman came back and placed boards around the bottom of the shed and rebaited the traps. A little while longer he came out, checked and decided the groundhog really didn't live under the shed but elsewhere and just visited the garden to dine. He left the boards but took the traps and told my son to keep watch and to call if he saw him.

He investigated and explored; wasn't able to find any specific entry point, but he dusted around the intersection of my deck and my foundation, suspecting that was the most likely location of the nest. Will have to see what the results of this are. Because he wasn't able to definitively diagnose the source of the problem, he didn't even charge me! A very pleasant surprise, which I'll chalk up to integrity ...

I was moving most of my stuff into my new home on Saturday and had scheduled a pest control company to come out on Friday so that my house could be treated while it was still empty. That company did not show up, so I searced Angie's List for one that might come on short notice on a Saturday. I found that Woods Mill Pest Control had great reviews so since it was after hours I emailed the company and explained my situation and I immediately received a phone call from Jim Gerken. He said that he was actually going to be in my area on Saturday morning and would fit me in for a treatment. They are all very busy this time of year so I was very lucky that he was able to come on such short notice. He is a very kind, honest and professional business man. He called before coming and said that he could be there a little earlier than originally stated and that was great. He was able to identify some of the pests that had been in the home by some pest traps that were left by the previous owner and explained everything to me about what he would do and what to expect. I will definitely continue to use this company and would recommend him to any one needing pest control.

The exterminator showed up about an hour late but had called me early enough in the day for me to adjust. He was very professional. He answered all my questions. He even advised me of a place I need to prevent critters from entering my house. Overall it was an easy process and the office staff was professional and helpful.

Their price is reasonable. They are thorough. They are punctual. They are professional. It has always been a positive experience.

They do a reasonably good job which seems to work. They are nice people who are always on time. I have been happy with them.

They give good advice and have been very helpful. They sent me some information about bed bugs that I could share with my colleagues. They just go above and beyond. If they don't know, they will tell me they don't know and will get back to me. Their price is excellent. They have always been on time.

They came out right away and the did the job and we didn't have any ants. That's came out very promptly and did it. The price was great. Yes, I've recommended them to other people.

They're very good at communicating and working with you to try to solve problems.

We used Woods Mill Pest Control 910 Kehrs Mill Rd, Ballwin, MO 63011 for the removal of a woodchuck that had found its way into our fenced in backyard, made a home for himself under a stairway right next to our remaining late season vegetable patch. The gentleman who came to set the trap was very friendly and knowledgeable. he set up the trap and told us to let them know as soon as the trap was sprung. It took only a day or two and the same gentleman was back very quickly after the call. I felt the very good about having their high quality assistance. The fee was fair as well: a setup fee and $85 per woodchuck (a bit more for woodchucks because they are more difficult to catch.)--as I recall. I would not hesitate recommending their service to anyone in need.

I was having some exterior wood trim replaced on my home. The contractor noticed bugs in some of the decaying wood. He thought that they were termites and advised me to have it checked by a professional. I joined Angie's list, due to not knowing or having a good reference of an exterminator (I spray my houses myself). I found Woods Mill Pest Control to be highly rated on Angie's list, and they also listed Termite treatment, and they were somewhat local to my area. So the next morning, I called on my way to work (around 7:15 a.m.) expecting to leave a voice mail. To my surprise, someone answered my call, and it was the owner of WMPC. He said that they were running about a week out for appointments, but since I had a crew waiting to work, he fit me in that day...at 7 pm. He showed up at 7 sharp. He went right to work, inspected the infected areas, determined that we did not have termites, just outside bugs that like to live in rotting wood. I was told that my house had termites from the contractor, and exterminator could have easily told me that I have termites as well, and I would have believed him. Jim did not, he negated the termite possibility (what a relief ! ), inspected my entire house, in and out, determined that I do not have termites period. Told me to contact the carpenter and tell him to move forward on the project. My bill was $80, which I was pleased to pay, but he offered a 10% discount because I found him on Angie's list, and he volunteered this discount, I did not know anything about it. So I can't say enough good about my experience with WMPC. I will not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family, and I will keep their number handy for future needs. Good Job WMPC ! If everyone ran their business as you do, there would be no need for an Angie's list.

I have been using their services for over 20 years. They found termites two years ago and treated the whole thing for only $800. They offer free treatment for the next five years after the termite work. I have used their for home and business purposes. I am very happy with their services.
