Bryan is the moleman. He came on time and explained how moles work. He checked our whole lawn and put in traps. Within two days he had already caught two moles. He came back twice a week for three weeks and caught more moles. He was very courteous. After a month and no more moles, he picked up all the traps and told us to call him if we saw any new activity. We would definitely call Woods Mill Pest Control again.

OUTSTANDING service! If only every service company provided such superior service. Owner of firm personally came to the house to give a presentation/pricing of services. Followed up with a contract in the mail shortly thereafter. After returning the contract, followed up telephonically to set up appointment to perform services. Owner arrived exactly on date and time promised. Performed all work in an exemplary manner! Removed shoes before entering the house. Was extremely polite and courteous. Presented additional instructional details explaining exactly what/why services were provided. An absolutely delightful experience! If you need any type of pest control on your property, Woods Mill Pest Control is the first company, and only company, one should consider.

I thought I might have a squirrel in the attic and I knew I had a mole in the backyard. Bryan performed the service and he placed a trap in the attic which he returned for a few days later. There was no squirrel but he did see signs of mice and place poison in the attic. The poison was the one that causes uncontrollable internal bleeding. Although I hate the type of poison I have to admit it did kill the mice where all my attempts to catch them in traps failed. There was a minor odor problem when the mice died but again, I had no luck doing it myself. I was not charged for this portion of the service. For the mole I had tried a variety of other methods for deterring moles but none of them worked. Bryan was successful in trapping the mole and left the body as I requested. There was a $155 set up fee for the traps and a $60 removal fee for each mole. I paid the original amount but did not continue with the service after the first mole was removed. Due to the cost I settled for peaceful co-existence. A more virorous mole moved in after the old mole was removed. Sadly, this is pretty normal for mole behavior as Bryan had warned me. Bryan was prompt, courteous and professional. The cost was the only deterrent. This company was less expensive than others I had researched for the same purpose.

The technician explained a lot of info about the bees and the best ways to handle the problem. They were in my deck so he checked the neighbor's decks as well. He treated the areas and instructed me how to follow up as well as checking over the entire outside of the house for problem areas I hadn't noticed.

Jim came and set the trap, caught the squirrel, reset the trap, waited a few days to make sure everything was ok and then sealed the vent the squirrel had used to get into the house.

The crew was very pleasant and helpful explaining the habits of the squirrels. The crew made several visits to check on conditions.

The workers from this service were polite, quite professional, and always on time. The charge seemed quite reasonable. I recommend them--and I'm happy to say that my squirrel problem seems to be over!

Very professional and thorough. Set, checked and moved traps as needed until the moles were gone. When mole tunnels reappeared a few months later (moles disturbed by neighbor's construction), they promptly came out and set traps again.

They were excellent and I was very impressed with them. They were top-notch. I paid them about $800 for one year installation of the bait stationed outside and one year of monitoring.

We had a couple of very noisy squirrels in the attic space above our masterbath. Bryan came out the next afternoon and set two traps, Two days later he checked on the traps. They were empty and the squirrels seem to have moved on. He cleared out the debris they left behind and plugged up the potential access points. He left one trap in the attic space and will check on it in four days just in case there's a squirrel left behind. Bryan was prompt, professional and had the materials with him to do the job. I won't hesitate to call Woods Mill Pest Control should I have a similar problem in the future.

Was able to schedule soon enough (1-2 days from initial call), but the rains forced a delay. (they explained to me that the cool and moisture inhibited both the bees activity and the effectiveness of the treatment). first day the weather was dry the tech was at my house. arrived on time and thoroughly treated the area. Over the next couple of days there were many expired bees on the front porch - but no longer any live bee activity either inside or outside the house. They offered an A.L. discount, and a warranty on the treatment. I have had no further bee problems.

Bryan came out the next morning after I made the first call. He was able to determine the most likely path to the roof, and placed one trap. He returned the next day to add an additional trap, and removed one opossum that got caught in the first one. Bryan came back each weekday over the next 8-9 days, resetting traps/removing opossum as they were trapped. A total of 5 were caught and removed. Then, a short-term and inexpensive fix Bryan suggested effectively blocked subsequent access to the roof. Since the fix was put in place, I have had no more problems.

I discovered a damaged floor board in my living room hardwood floor - looked like it was eaten away, but I didn't know what it was. I checked Angie's List for recommendations and decided to call Woods Mill Pest Control. They were able to make an appointment two days later. I was impressed that the owner himself came out to assess the situation and provide the estimate. I immediately felt comfortable with him. He was very professional and informative, as well as honest and affable. He checked the moisture level around the termite damage and said it was not high enough to confirm current termite activity, but also not low enough to rule out current termite activity. He checked the basement. We walked around the outside of the house and he pointed out where I have elevated risk of termites due to dirt up against siding. When asked what he recommended re. the dirt up against the siding, he acknowledged that there probably wasn't anything to be done about it, based on the grading around my house, etc. I appreciated his reasonableness. He explained all about termites and provided estimates and pros and cons for both Termidor termicide treatment and Sentricon termite colony elimination system. Pros and cons addressed environmental considerations, safety for my pets, one time costs, ongoing costs, inconvenience of moving stuff away from the walls in the garage, etc -- very comprehensive. A prior owner of my home had had Sentricon and based on this, the owner of Woods Mill Pest Control was able to get a significantly reduced rate from the manufacturer for restarting service on an existing system rather than installing a brand new system. There was no hard sell, no pressure, just great information. I took a couple days to consider my options and when I called back, they were able to schedule the installation appointment within a week and I didn't have to be home since all the work was done outside. They installed many more stations than the installation for the prior homeowner had, so I felt good about their thoroughness. The lady who answered the phone at the office was very nice every time I dealt with her. When I asked, she was able to setup my credit card for automatic quarterly billing. All in all, a great experience -- very professional, easy to work with, trustworthy. Highly recommended.

We have a mouse in our house that we have been unable to trap and have started to get worried that it could lead to a bigger problem. We called Woods Mill because so many on Angie's list said it was a good company to work with. I'm so glad we chose this company. Bryan arrived exactly when he said that he would, which is much more than I can say about the last few professionals we have had come to our home. He went straight to work, and was extremely knowledgeable, even passionate about pest control. My husband and I could not believe how much he knew about chemicals, even to look at the flea repellant we put on our dog every month. Some exterminators just spray anything and charge a fortune, never educating the customer about prevention. Bryan spent lots of time with us, explaining everything he was doing, the impact on our pet (or non-impact), and how the indoor and outdoor traps he set work. He was thorough, answered other questions about pest control (we are new here and needed info on caring for our old house), and left contact information in case we had further questions. His diligence earned him future visits to our home for pest control. We plan to call him regularly for extermination needs, as well as to follow up with our mouse problem. As others have reported, he was honest and did not recommend some types of services because they can be expensive and not very effective. In this economy, I admire him for this and was very thankful to him. Bryan earned our business. The high quality and customer service driven model for this company is truly a winner.

I could hear something running around in the attic of my house. I walked around the outside to see if I could find where something might get in. I did find it and actually saw a couple of squirrels enter through this tiny opening at the soffit area of the home. I called Woods Mill Pest control. They have had a great reputation for many years but this was my first need to use them personally. The owner, Jim Gerken came out, assessed the situation and set a couple of traps. He came out a couple of days later removed the trapped squirrels and that solved the problem. Great job Jim.

I had Jim out to inspect my home for termites. I own a home with previous significant termite damage from several years and a couple of homeowners ago, and had Woods Mill out to inspect when I purchased the home 3 years ago. When I purchased my home, I ended up keeping a Terminix baiting system that the sellers had installed and maintained a service contract with Terminix for about 2 years. I started feeling scammed by Terminix's service and sales pitches, so dropped the contract with them about a year ago. Due to prior termite damage I didn't want to let the issue drop, and was looking for a pest control company to perform a routine inspection. In looking through my files I located Woods Mill's original report from when we bought the house (my house inspector had sub-contracted Woods Mill, so I did not select them myself initially) and called to have them come out and re-inspect. Jim did the inspection, had noted that his company had been out three years earlier, and actually dug up the original inspection as a reference before arriving at my home. He was thorough, polite, and candid about my continuing monitoring/maintenance options without trying to sell me an expensive and ongoing service plan. At the end of the visit, I mentioned to Jim that I selected him based on earlier report plus excellent reviews on Angie's List, he offered me the 10% Angie's List coupon for his services even though I did not present the coupon myself. He offered to call again next year as a reminder to re-inspect after I indicated that I was interested in an annual inspection. I will use Woods Mill again, mainly because I think that Jim's approach was thorough and professional, and, as importantly, he struck me as honest and trustworthy.

I was very happy with both the price and the service. The rep who sprayed (forget name) was very friendly and thoroughly answered all the questions I had asked. I picked them because they were cheaper then the competitors and was more then happy with the service as our crickets and spiders are all gone already. I will use them again early next year for routine spraying.

I discovered what I thought were termite tunnels on the external wall of my attached garage. I searched Angie's list for companies that had very high ranks to provide estiamtes. Check the BBB of all before selecting Woods Mill. They showed when they said and promptly completed the job.

We recently moved into an older home that had its fair share of creepy-crawly things. They came out and sprayed and the majority of the bugs are gone which is saying a lot. I recently noticed that our yard is covered in crickets and flies tend to always be near and so we actually scheduled them to come do an outside treatment as well. They aren't a fancy company but they are responsive, thourough and professional - that's a good mix.

They set traps and came back and got them and we were satisfied with the service. They were prompt, very nice and were also reasonable. They were professional, responsive and punctual.

I have had good experiences with other pest control service providers in the past. However, the personnel from Woods Mill Pest Control are very friendly and very informative. They did a very good job. Their price was reasonable.

He showed up on time, was polite and friendly and spent a good deal of time explaining the habits and lifestyle of the specific cockroach we had seen in our basement as well as information on the insecticide he would be using and why he chose it. He answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns, including the effects of the insecticide on our vegetable garden and our small dog. He was considerate and respected our preferences on where to spray or not spray. He even offered to come back a different day to spray outside around our house because it was raining that day and apparently the rain affects the efficacy of the insecticide at the time of application.
