Wonderful!

He was punctual. He introduced himself, told us what he was going to do and how he would do it. He then proceeded to do all that he said, being extremely detail oriented and thorough. After about 2 hours, he talked about his general findings on the spot, and within 36 hours, provided a detailed report via e-mail that was easily printed out. He was extremely professional in demeanor and very personable, and communicated in non-jargon, non-technical terms when needed. It was obvious he was (is) very experienced. I recommend him (his company) in the highest possible terms, and cannot overstate how pleased I am at his work ethic.

(See my previous review) We met him at the property. Once again, he went through exactly what he would be doing, and answered any questions we had about what that included and what techniques he would be using during his inspection. He listened to our concerns about things seen in the previous walk-through, and paid special attention to them as he proceeded to start (and complete) the physical inspection. He took his time and was very detailed and thorough in his inspection. When he finished (some 2.5 hours later), he spent another half-hour giving a general overview of what he found, and within 36 hours we had an e-mailed and detailed written report. I said in my first review that I would hire him again, and I did. I will continue to hire him at any time I need his inspection services. (I would hire him to inspect MY HOUSE prior to selling just so I would be prepared for the costs involved in making any important repairs!) The cost is VERY REASONABLE considering the detailed report which is very understandable, and I cannot overstate the importance of having an ethical, honest, and honorable EXPERT inspect a dwelling prior to purchasing a house. Charles will work with you and your schedule. It is indeed a pleasure (and a professional comfort) to work with him.

CHN was very responsive and punctual. The inspection was very thorough - he started with the exterior, got up on the roof, in the attic, and then the interior, including basement. He found many maintenance-type issues, with suggestions on how to repair, and also provided recommendations on how to repair other issues I was already aware of. I received the inspection report within a few hours of the inspection - it was very thorough, informative, and well-organized. It consisted of all issues found, an explanation of why it's important to resolve the issue, and a cost estimate range for the repair of most issues found. On a couple occasions after the inspection, I emailed Charles with follow-up questions, to which he was very prompt and complete with his reply.

I am very pleased with the service Mr. Nance provided. He is trustworthy and professional.

Charles was very accommodating to our needs. We were in town visiting from out of state looking at properties. One caught our interest. The inspection was done in a detailed and professional manner and emailed to us in a prompt manner. The report is presented in a very thorough manner. Our email questions were answered to our satisfaction. We would hire him again.

I contacted Charles and he set up an appointment for the same week. He arrived early and began looking for any major issues we would need to discuss. He did a very thorough inspection and did his best to answer all of my many questions. The report was very detailed and I feel that the price was reasonable. Overall he did a great job and I would recommend this company if you need a home inspection.

Mr. Nance came out introduced himself and got right to work. He did everything that I didnt see with my first inspection 8 months ago. I just remember the guy collection my money. I dont even know if he asked my name, but Mr. Nance did it all he checked the roof and every inch of my home. He was there over two hours. He found water leakage in the basement thru the roof and under the kitchen sink of my brand new home. The report had pictures and where over 42 pages long. He did a great job!! Thanks Mr.Nance

Very knowledgeable,proffessional. Charles checked everything, ceilings,flooring,insulation, sockets,outlets,sinks,tub,shower,appliances. He went on the roof checked venting,roofing,chimney He checked just about everything in,on,and around the home. He also took digital photos of all viewable damages or defects. And i recieved the extremely detailed report*(with photos) via e-mail the same day! Would highly recommend CHN Inspections to anyone looking to purchase a home or property.

With Charles being a structural engineer, we were very comforted with him inspecting the 113yr old home we were getting ready to buy. He explained to us his process and walked through the issues he found. He used a color coding system to help us understand things that posed serious safety hazards (red), things that were significant costs or structural problems (blue), things that were minor repairs (black), and general maintenance items (green). When we had questions after the inspection while negotiating with the sellers, Charles was always willing to answer our questions and give his opinion.

Extremely professional. Systematic and comprehensive. Explained his procedure, updated me at each stage, and answered questions. Report generated was available within a few hours. Included pictures to illustrate problematic areas.

He did what he was supposed to do. He didn't take as many pictures as I would like though. He was very responsive. He was very helpful. He was too expensive. I would maybe use him in the future.

Charles inspected 2 houses for us. These were 90-120 yr old homes. He is VERY thorough and knowledgable. His inspections last from 4-7 hours. He did a spectacular job, finding many major problems that we would never have found. In one house the 100 yr old tile roof had evidence of leakage which he uncovered. Since repair of the roof would cost about $60K, this ultimately proved to be the death knell of the deal. Cost varies with size, age of house. >5000sf, 120yr old home was $1000 for inspection

CHN did an excellent job, very thorough and professional. Gave me a detailed report to get things done I needed. Will be well informed when I have work done and not get repairs I don't need.

We were able to promptly get an appointment scheduled. The inspector arrived on time and kept me informed of findings as he finished an area of inspection. By the end of the day, he emailed us a complete report with pictures and areas that required attention. Over-all it was a very efficient and professional experience.

CHN INSPECTIONS, LLC SETS THE STANDARD FOR HOME INSPECTORS. HE WAS PROMPT, INFORMATIVE AND HONEST. MR. NANCE FOUND THE TINIEST DETAILS AND GAVE ACCURATE ESTIMATES ON HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO HAVE THEM FIXED. CHARLES ALSO WAS A GREAT ASSET AFTER PURCHASING THE HOME. HE FAXED HIS REPORT TO THE CONTRACTOR AND SPOKE WITH THEM PERSONALLY. THIS ALLOWED THE WORK TO BE DONE TO STANDARD. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR NEXT HOME WITHOUT CHARLES NANCE INSPECTING IT FIRST!!!
