The only hitch in the transaction was the salesman came back after being informed I was accepting their bid saying there had been an error in his estimate and they needed to add $500 to the overall cost of the project. I assumed it was a trustworthy mistake, never-the-less, it felt bad like a hose job. I had to do all the leg work myself to receive a building permit and an approval from the home owners association. The quality of the product and reputation of the Company, in my opinion, helped me receive approval from both of those locations. The two men installing the fence were very experienced and installed the fence and gate flawlessly in less than a full day. They were meticulous in their detail and care during the installation. Overall, I am very happy with this Company and the fence product.

We worked with 3 different crews for our separate projects and we were very happy with all of them. They showed up on time, were very courteous, went through the project details to make sure we were on the same page, and did a great job! They had a backlog of work ahead of us but they told us before we put any money down when the estimated dates were. For all 3 projects they met their estimated dates. They called a day or two before they were coming over to make sure you were ready for them. I recommend meeting with the crew the first day they show up to go over the building plans. The fence crew put in over 350 feet of aluminum fence with 2 gates in one day and did an excellent job. There was no damage to the yard even though the ground was a little wet in places from rain the day before. The composite deck took about 4 days and the crew was there every day until the project was completed and we are very happy with the deck. The building inspector even commented on how good of a job they always do. They underdecking system (closes out bottom of deck and runs the water to a downspout instead of straight through deck) took about 4 days also. Matt from the crew was very helpful and went the extra mile with some design changes I needed make to improve the system on my deck. They did excellent job on it also. The sales and support team did a really good job also on helping with the design and scheduling. Kevin worked some late nights getting last minute changes in that we hit him with. I will say that the price is higher with them but we believe it is worth it for a reliable contractor that does a great job! Would definitely work with them in the future.

Everything was fine until I received the initial plans, which were completely wrong. I contacted the salesman which is who I understood was my point of contact. He assured me he would make sure the plans were corrected. The next thing I heard, I received a call saying my permits had been obtained. I asked how that had happened as I had not yet approved plans? She said she would look in to it and get back with me. A few days later I again called my salesman who told me they had a new secretary, and she must have made a mistake. He assured me new plans were on the way. Next I received a call wanting to schedule my job earlier than originally planned. As I was still getting my funds together, and final payment was due at completion, I asked to please keep the original installation date which was still 3-4 weeks away. No problem they said. A few days later, again they called to ask if they could start my job THAT DAY. I refused. Thirty minutes later I received another call. "Can we start tomorrow?" Fine. Just understand I will need a couple week to submit final payment - no problem she assured me. So when the crew arrived to start the job, I was not at home. They called me to ask a question about the plans, and I found they still had the original set of plans. Nothing had been done to correct them. I had NEVER approved these plans, and the salesman had NOT talked to the crew to get them corrected. I arrived home to find my ground level deck about 4 feet in the air. Footings had been dug. The crew was wonderful, correcting things as they went, and asking my approval. Some things the salesman had told me would need to be done, did not need to be done. And some things I wanted done, couldn't be done. The entire situation was stressful for me as well as them. The next afternoon I was again at work, and the carpenter called to tell me they were finished and I would be contacted about payment. I arrived home to find that there were still some things not done as I had requested and they had to return a few days later. Some of the boards on the deck were not secure, and a few other details that had of course been omitted from the plans. They had build my stairs over concrete stairs - but they had left it open so you could SEE the concrete stairs! I said no way was that acceptable and I wanted it enclosed as I had requested and been quoted in the contract. I felt I paid a lot of money for one small deck and some stairs and the way they left it was completely unacceptable. They came back to my home yesterday and finished the job - I was home and inspected everything before they left. As I said, I really didn't have an issue with the installers, and the finished job is acceptable. But due to the complete confusion - I would NOT use this contractor again.

We have a sloping back yard and a large koi pond. We wanted to put fencing around the pond area and some of the yard. From the initial phone call to the final installation the service was prompt and professional. The estimator made great suggestions on how best to locate the fence, he recommended a less expensive option that we had originally considered and he gave a very detailed explanation of the design features and the installation process. He was very clear up front that they would do their best to locate our underground obstructions (sprinkler system, wiring) but it was possible that there could be some damage. They were able to schedule the work much sooner than expected and they completed all the work in one day. The surrounding grass looks like there was no work done at all (I expected a fair amount of damage to the lawn near the posts) The did cut one sprinkler line while digging a post hole but they left the piping exposed so that it was very easy for me to make the repair. The fence looks great!

Starting at the bidding phase, Dee Williams of Chesterfield Fence provided both competitive bids and some alternative options for replacing my Son's fence. In the end Chesterfiled Fence's bid and fence warranty were the best deal. The fence was scheduled for replacement to start April 4th. The crew was onsite right on time. They removed the old fence and concrete in about two hours. Next they layed out the new fence and started setting posts in concrete. By early afternoon 3PM , they finished setting the posts with plans to return the following day. On April 5th again the crew was onsite right on time and started building the new fence. By early afternoon the crew finished the new fence. I walked the fence down with the crew leader , Admir, and he made a couple minor corrections which I bought off on. The crew cleaned up all the job materials including the old fence and left the site completely clean. Admir, Senad and the crew did an outstanding job keeping everything very straight and yet following the contour of the terrain. Dee Williams stopped in to resolve some minor adjustments made to the project and I was very pleased with the overall project and her responsiness. In the end we ended up with a beautiful new redwood fence, it's perfect.

Sales staff was courteous and knowledgeable, even attentive beyond my expectations. Schedule of installation was very accommodating and informative. Installation crew was friendly and meticulous, being very careful to align the posts and clean up after themselves. I couldn't be more please with this experience.

Our fence was installed by the previous owners in 2008. In 2014, the post installed into the drive-way had risen to the point that it was very difficult to open and close the gate. Since the fence was no longer under warranty, we paid $350 to repair the gate. Now, only 2-years later, we are experiencing the same thing. When I called, I was told that we would need to pay the full cost of a repair again because they only stand behind their repairs for 30 days. At the time of the original repair, I was not told of this policy and informed that the repair should permanently resolve the issue. Obviously this was not the case--and I cannot respect a company who does not stand behind their work.

1. CFD prepared a design for review, and a detailed construction agreement that listed materials, specifications, and costs (take-down included). 2. Next, CFD applied for a building permit with our local public works department, and submitted CAD drawings, specifications, and details for the project. 3. With authorization, take-down of the existing deck began. Piers were poured, and construction followed. The whole project was finished in about a week. CFD carefully cleaned up the job site daily and upon completion. Payment was scheduled to reflect job progress and I was notified by email during every step of the process. The build quality is well done with attention to detail. Overall, this was a seamless project. I highly recommend CFD to my friends and family. Chesterfield Fence and Deck offers a 15 year substructure warranty and 5 years on all labor.

Deck was designed by Chesterfield Fence and Deck according to my general specifications. They made EXCELLENT suggestions on deck size and placement. They suggested ending the deck at between Great Room windows (as opposed to the center of a window). Looks great. Their idea was better than mine!! Also added a "build out" for BBQ (also at their suggestion). Only problem was that it was so wet out that even though they put down plywood to walk on...there was a lot of squishy areas and some of the grass probably died.

The way the post fell, the gate would not reach the pole to latch. They added additional chain links to the fence and moved the post over in order for the gate latched properly. The work was excellent and did more than just adding the post. I am very pleased with the result and would certainly use again. Communication was excellent to explain what they were going to do in order to fix the fence and gate.

We had a Veka deck installed at the end of December and everything was done so professionally. We had a bid for the job and actually secured the job in July but had to push it off because we were also having our driveway done and they could not get out to start the work until November. Kevin was great on getting the projected cost and plans to me and going over everything with us. Melissa was the contact person who organized the job from there and I was called every week as we got closer to the work being done to see where we were on our driveway. We had to push it back several weeks because of delays with our driveway and she was so helpful and kept the lines of communication open so that we could get the job done as soon as they could get onto the driveway to do the work. Once the project started- I was updated daily by her as to what was going on. The crew were so friendly and made sure to go over everything with me before starting the project. We were so please with the project, love our new deck and will use them in the future for any additional fence or deck work that we may have. I would highly recommend using them (even if they come out costing more) because you will get what you paid for- quality.

The installation went well. They had to remove two large stumps (that we had previously been told were not an issue but turned out to be an issue) and that put the project one day behind and cost extra, however it was worth every cent. I would hire them again and have referred them to friends.

Mat, Brad, and Justin came over, as scheduled, to fix the lighting system of our 2 year old deck. We had wild life issues for quite some time (they chewed the wirings underneath). One of them had to crawl under the narrow and low deck (it was right after the rainy day) to fix them. Since it was the 3rd time incidence, we discussed thoroughly about the best solution (not to let the wild life go beneath the deck again), and so far it seems like it's working! (It's been 6 weeks) Things were taken care by the warranty and we are very happy with the outcome. Thank you so much, Mat, Brad, and Justin!!

Chesterfield Fence and Deck provided a professional job from start to finish. We needed to replace our deck due to some foundation settling on our home on the wall adjacent to the deck, so the large, 15 year old cedar deck was removed by the other contractor. Kevin Gallas, the salesman for CF&D, walked us through the options for a replacement, to include cedar and Vekadeck, and worked with us to come up with a plan that was attractive and functional, meeting the mobility needs of my wife who uses an electric scooter. Ben and his construction team were top notch, telling us exactly what they were going to do and then doing it professionally and correctly, the first time. The construction of the deck is extremely strong, and the finished surfaces are beautiful, with neighbors already complementing us on its appearance. Ben and the team cleaned up the site completely when done, and once the re-seeded areas have grown back, will be a highlight of our home.

The sale man Greg was outstanding and help us with the selection of materials and the relocation of the stairs and help following up during the final scheduling of the installation. Our project coordinator Melissa was very professional and kept us informed on the progress of the design, permits and construction schedule. Our installation crew headed by Mesha was outstanding and worked very hard and carefully during the demo and the new deck installation. They kept the work site very neat and clean every day. The finished deck is great and looks outstanding. The entire team at Chesterfield Fence and Deck delivery a outstanding product in a very professional manner and we are very please with the entire project.

I had contacted several companies to get a quote to add a deck to my home. Chesterfield Fence and Deck was the only one to return my call and come out. The salesman was prompt and we went over what I wanted. He made a couple of suggestions including using VEKA cellular PVC decking. While it was a bit more expensive, I am very glad I chose it over wood. 6 months later, it looks like new and has held up great. The deck still looks like the day they installed it. It took about 5 weeks to get it installed. All permits were pulled and signed off on. I am extremely happy with everything about the job, but the stand out was the installation crew. The team leaders name was Mesha and he and his crew were awesome!! The deck took 2 1/2 days to install. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone needing a deck.

Rick finished off my new sunroom with the drywall mud/taping, painting, caulking, and finish work. He is a perfectionist and his work is just beautiful. And just like the rest of the guys that came out, he was very polite and did a great job for me.

Salesman came to the home to place initial order on 9/18. Told to expect 6-8 week wait for installation. After 7 weeks, I placed a call to check on status. The office couldn't find the record of the sale. Had to contact the initial salesman to find the order. Apparently the office staff had gone through some changes and were very disorganized, but apologetic. They scheduled the installation later in the week. The installers were professional and seemed skilled and completed the job in a couple hours. It involved digging a hole and pouring concrete for the post, as well as drilling into the concrete porch. The product is aluminum, not vinyl, and quite substantial.

Outstanding experience from the sales meeting at my house all the way through installation. The foreman and his crew arrived promptly at 7:30am and they were done by 4pm. The foreman was not only courteous but also conscientious and walked me thru where they would place the fence and gates and gave me some suggestions and options that made the fence look even better. The arched gates look great. To top it off, the foreman himself sweeped my mulch off my walk leading up to the gate to he driveway !! Several neighbors commented on how great it looks and my next door neighbor told me such on three different occasions. Outstanding job and awesome fence. the Black aluminum makes the yard look bigger and more open. Highly recommend Chesterfield Fence and Deck Co.

Ron sold me on an Elements Sunroom and was very honest and caring. Will, Chad, and Joe expertly constructed my sunroom. They constantly asked for my approval and very much wanted to please me. It turned out better than I expected. They're a great company and I will use again and would recommend to anyone.

During October 2015 we added a room to our Frontenac home. Will, Chad & Joe, the Chesterfield Deck and Fence construction crew for room additions, did an outstanding job. We are very satisfied with our new room. They were professional, experienced and very skilled, and did an exceptional A+ job on our new room addition.

I spoke to Christian Draeger, a project consultan at Chesterfield Fence & Deck, who guided us through the whole process for both the fence & Deck.. Christian was very patient and knowledgeable in answering all of our many questions.. He was not pushy at all. He was there to answer our questions and he allowed us to make our decisions, in our own time, as to what we wanted. Christian was our point of contact for both the fence project and the deck project. From beginning to end. They have one of the nicest showrooms I have ever visited. The showroom is located in Chesterfield, MO.. The work day crew that came out to install the fence and the crew that came out to install the deck was very skilled, polite, picked up after themselves, left the worksite (my home) very clean and was very prompt . I had no issues. They even stop what they were doing, without any hint of frustration, to answer my many questions. Of all the contractors I have used, Chesterfield Fence & Deck stands out as the best company I have ever encountered, from the first impression, consultation process,, to installation, financing, to the final walk through, they are a First Class company with even more amazing employees. It's very nice and they did a great job. They were very professional and very nice to work with. There were 3 contractors that we worked with. They were knowledgeable of their work. We also received a nice discount through this company and a 5 year warranty. We are very happy with their work.
