Chesterfield Fence & Deck Company

Working with Chesterfield Fence was a 5-star experience from inquiry to completion. Our project consultant Stewart Topper handled all the details of the estimate and then the follow up to explain, with a video, the quality of the vinyl fence (no lead), gate hardware, the method of installation--especially the posts, and fabrication. Tammy arranged for the installation date. The three gentlemen who installed the fence discussed several installation issues and were gracious to our 34-month old granddaughter who had a lot of questions about what they were doing. The installers did a great job cleaning up after the completion of the job. The fence looks terrific -- not only do we think so, but so do our neighbors. Another great thing -- we got an Angie's List discount which made the bid price attractive.

They came when they said they would come. They did what they said they would do. They did it well and the fence is still up.

They installed a black light weight metal fence fro my back yard and I felt that their prices were expensive. The installation was done well, but they could have given us better advice on how to install the fence.

They were great. The salesperson was fantastic. The install crew was professional and courteous. I was very pleased. They showed up when they said they would.

This company is very professional, almost to a fault. Salesperson was knowledgable, but was somewhat condescending and tried to upsell me after repeatedly telling her that I was not interested. The price was higher than the other bids that I received, but I ultimately decided to go with Chesterfield based on the quality of the dozens (literally) of fences installed by them in my neighborhood. Installation took one day. The fence looks great, the gates operate well, and I have no complaints beyond the pushy saleswoman and absolute lack of assistance getting a building permit. The 5 year workmanship/20 year materials warrantees are nice too. Pricey, but the fence seems worth it.

Job went very well. Keith was great to work with and provided very competitive price. He also provided some fantastic design ideas. The installation crew (Mikki) was on time and did a great job with some on the fly design work to ensure the completed product looked fabulous.

They were perfect. We had to wait for the weather to get better. They called us regularly to give us updates as we had signed in January. As soon as the weather was clear they did the fence work. They were very nice, hard working and were very respectful about privacy. We never had a problem. The price was very competitive. It is much cheaper if you pay in cash.

I contacted Chesterfield fence via their website after checking them out on Angie's list and seeing they had an 'A' rating with many positive reviews. I had also used them several years ago and was impressed with their service, quality, and professionalism. Kevin Smith contacted me within 12 hours of my email request and was attentive while I described the work. He was flexible to my schedule and set an appointment that was best for me and arrived early and ready to go. After reviewing the site, Kevin was able to provide an immediate estimate. Kevin also asked how to followup and when; and did so per our agreement. The level of professionalism was impressive. Had it not been for price, I would have gladly selected Chesterfield Fence for the work.

Their quote was higher than other companies we looked at. They have good ratings. They were way too professional. I think that is why they charge so much. They knew a lot about their product. The only problem I had was they were to expensive.

They were punctual, quick, and they used high quality materials. They gave me a good price and I will definitely use them in the future if the need should arise.

The work took only 2 days. They accommodated our request to increase the spacing of the fence slats. There was a misunderstanding about the configuration for posts for one of the gates and the company reset the post. They were very accommodating with the amount of time it took to get all of the neighborhood and city approvals. The back gate was custom constructed and well done.

They did a good job and made everything look tidy. There was only 1 guy in the crew that spoke english, but I didn't interact with them much. It was pretty much take out the old fence and put in a new one. There were no problems.

We did not end up using them b/c we decided against putting the fence in right now, but we will likely use them in the spring when we decide to put the fencing up.

Very well, estimate was right on, they worked well with the city inspectors. Work was completed as scheduled and we are completely satisfied. I had another opportunity to use them and they honestly advised me to engage a handyman because they would have to charge too much for simple repair work on my deck. I appreciate that.

They did a really, really good job. We realized the fence was installed too high and our dog was slipping underneath our driveway gate, they responded quickly and fixed the problem.

They did a great job. It was excellent. Stuart, the salesman, was wonderful. They sold it to us at a good price. Two people put up the fence in one day. Their work ethic was great. They didn't stop working until they were done even though it was a very hot day.

Overall the experience was very good. The actual laborers that came out and put up the fence were great. I was less impressed with the sales person that they sent by.

It was perfect. They did it in the time frame that they said they would. I was greatly pleased with that and how great of a service they did for my home.

The experience was good and they did an excellent job. They were really efficient and they got there early and got done by five. They put the whole fence in in one day.

Bill came out to the house, walked the back yard and measured for a new fence. We discussed chain link, wood and vinyl. He was very professional. Unfortunately his bid for a chain link was about $1000 more than the competition, who by the way is also rated very high on Angie's List.

They were very good at explaining the different product lines. In the process you deal with a lot of people from the sales, design, and construction and their communication between them was phenomenal. I was really pleased with everything, it is a great deck.

The quote was pretty expensive and we did not end up using Chesterfield Fence. The approximate cost was $1000. We had this done by a general contractor friend for $275. I know that Chesterfield Fence does good work, I have seen several of their signs on other properties. However, they were just too expensive. If doing future work I would consider using them if they have a competitive bid.

The salesman was excellent as were the installers. They did the entire fence in one day. They cleaned up beautifully.
