The sale person, Abdul, was informative about the products the company had, was clear in his communication, and explained everything to our satisfaction. When I learned we had some additional work to be done after the contract was signed, he checked the situation and responded promplty with the cost for the additonal work. Whe I had additional questions/clarifications about the work via email, he responded in a timely manner. The company contacted me in advance when it knew the date on which it could begin the work. The installers arrived on time. We walked through the work to be done, preferences I had in the contract, and other details. The work took 3 days. The installers arrived on time each day, were agreeable to my watching them work from time to time (this is how I learn about how things are done), and if there were questions or improvements on placement of fancing, they let me know so I could answer/decide. The installer worked hard each day, were professional, approachable, and dependable. They did a great installation and are a credit to the company. If I had work to be done in the future, I would want Abdul and these installers. The work was completed timely (we didn't have rain), the fence is well-constructed and nice looking. The gates are well designed and good hardware on them. The company followed up on 8/28 to inquire if we were satisfied--and we are. Chesterfield gave us great service, qualit product and installation.

I was clear to them on the phone that I was looking for a screen porch build. The sales person came out as arranged and was very professional. He assured me they could do the job and spent 40 minutes taking measurements and discussing the project. Two weeks later I called to inquire about the estimate and was told it was with the design team and should be available shortly. It's now been six week since the original visit and still no quote. Obviously, we are using a different builder.

I gave them a D on the overall grade because they had a delay in the installation. They were fine in terms of price. I also rate them excellent in terms of the quality of work, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism.

The initial consultation seemed good. Good product, good price, easy discussion. We were emphatic about the purpose of the fence -- after tragically losing our 3 year old dog months before, we did not trust the existing electric fence and wanted a true physical barrier for new puppies arriving on a set date. Our project required both the fence side of the business, and the deck side (for a concrete pad pour). When the installation came, it was clear that the design was not adequate (a full gap in the coverage to keep the dogs in), the fence crew had never seen our plans before and were rude to me (female) but responsive to my husband, the concrete crew were not informed of our project at all causing weeks delay in completion to get them scheduled, the incorrect gates were ordered and delivered, the concrete was poured incorrectly when it WAS done - causing a redo, and it took five trips and multiple weeks to finish the "one-day" job. We brought home new puppies to an unsecured yard and it caused undue stress on our large, busy, working family. They kept saying sorry, and that they would fix it. I know things happen in business and appreciated that they eventually got it done. In the end, the fence is nice, looks nice, was a good price. But I would not use them again or recommend them. With two careers, six kids and two puppies - I can't afford to have this much hassle when spending this much money.

The workmanship is outstanding, the product is very solid, and their craftsmanship through a rainy day, yes ONE DAY was incredible. They arrived before 8am and were done before 3pm.

We bought our house with the fence and a gate on one side, so wanted to add it one on the other since we have a fairly big yard. Chesterfield did the install for the previous owners and we only heard good things about them so decided to make it easy and use them. It went very well at first. I called on a Friday I think and was able to get an estimate that Monday. I was given the price quote for adding the gate, $775 which I thought was a little high, but I just wanted it done. I gave the sales rep the initial deposit and waited for a few weeks until I got the call. They asked if they could install on a Saturday, since they had a crew that wanted work and it would be quick. The crew arrived within the scheduled window, but after 15 minutes decided our soil was too hard for their post hole diggers and wanted to use a jackhammer. Honestly, I know clay is hard, but it was 2 holes they needed to dig. I said no big deal, and they said they'd be right back. Three hours later they were back. They were about to get to work and didn't have an extension cord for the jackhammer, so my wife went to the garage to get them one. The dug the holes, then said they didn't bring the right fence parts and would be back first thing Monday morning....without putting our fence back together! My wife had to tell them we had a dog and really didn't want a 5 foot section of fence missing for the weekend, so they threw the old pieces together and tied it to the existing fence. Pretty shabby is you ask me. Monday morning I called the office around 10, just to make sure everything was still on schedule, especially since I was told I needed to be at home for them. I was then told the office didn't know the job wasn't finished and that crew had another job they needed to do first, but could come by between 2-3pm. At 4pm I called the office to see where the crew was. They said they would check and give me a call back. I never did get a call back, but the crew was there 20 minutes later. They finished the job, and I think it was high quality work, everything looked great. The crew gave me the final bill and it was $50 less than the initial quote. I was pretty pleased that they would give me a discount after having a difficult time with them. Then I got a letter in the mail the next week stating that I still owed $50 and the lien wouldn't be released until I paid in full. Making me feel like the badguy and that I underpaid them. All in all the work done was good, I like the fence, but for the price there sure seemed to be a lot of miscommunication and runaround. I said I would hire them again, but it was a yes or no question. Right now I would say MAYBE I would use them again, but more for the quality.

From the initial sales meeting to the installation and follow-up, working with Chesterfield Fence & Deck could not have been better, During our initial sales meeting with Keith in Fall '14, we let him know we probably wouldn't be actually purchasing a fence until sometime in the spring and were more looking to get ideas on prices from various vendors. Even knowing this, he came out to the house and staked our yard on where we were looking to eventually put the fence, along with a rough estimate on pricing. Being one that reacts negatively to pushy salesmen, I couldn't have appreciated more that Keith understood we wouldn't be buying for a while and simply left his information with us if we had any questions down the road. Fast-forward to this Spring, my wife and I went up to the Chesterfield showroom to look at the two options we were quoted in person. Keith not only remembered us, but remembered the details of our plan as well. This meant a lot. We applied for a partial loan and work order the same day and within a week, we had our installation date set. The installation exceeded our expectations tremendously. We live right on the JeffCo/STL County line, so there is a lot of clay and rock in our backyard. After a few landscaping projects the previous summer, I knew the crew had their work cut out for them and while I appreciated hearing they would finish same day, I wasn't actually expecting them to due to the nature of our ground. However, the crew stayed and finished the project same day, as promised. I would estimate they were there almost 12 hours from unloading the materials to final walk through, and never showed frustration or impatience with the pace of work (they used a jackhammer for 14 of the fence posts!). Since the fence has gone in, we haven't experienced any problems and have had multiple neighbors compliment how nice the fence has made our yard look. We also appreciated the timeframe in which Chesterfield was able to work with us on, as 2 days after the fence was finished we brought our puppy home so he's had a nice, contained yard to play in. I would say we would buy another fence from Chesterfield in the future, but unless we move to a new home, I don't think we'll ever need another fence due to the quality of the labor and materials used.. We will absolutely be reaching out to Chesterfield first for any other outdoor projects we may need down the road, and my wife and I can't recommend them enough.

They got the job done very quickly and at the time they said they were going to get it done. I felt that the price was a little high, but they are competitive.

All went well. Professional attitude in sales and labor as well. Totally cleaned up after completion. Very reputable company to deal with. Would recommend to anyone.

They stand behind their work. We have had couple of issues not because of faulty work but because of changes in weather situation I just called them and they come out and fix that. They did a good job and work is of high quality, they are certainly expensive.

Quick, Seamless install. Everyone arrived on time, were professional, and did quality work. Dennis was the GC/Sales professional who visited us onsite and gave us an estimate, came back and walked us through the layout, and showed up in person the date of install to make sure everything went correctly. I would strongly recommend him and Chesterfield Fence to anyone.

I am very pleased with our new screened in porch built by Chesterfield Fence and Deck. I was hesitant to begin because of frequent news reporting shoddy work done by some contractors. Fortunately, I selected a quality company powered by an exceptional staff. After a phone call to Chesterfield Fence and Deck their agent, Ron, arranged a meeting at my home. He listened carefully to my goals for the project, explained the process in easy to understand terms, and gave me a bid. He was well organized, friendly and very knowledgeable. There were no high pressure sales tactics. He left a positive first impression of the company. The construction crew led by Perry, including Hector and Tim did an outstanding job. They transformed a tired, old, deck into a beautiful, mosquito free, screened in porch with a shingled roof. They worked long hours in truly adverse weather conditions and cleaned up everyday before leaving. Their skill and the pride they took in their workmanship was evident. Always polite and professional, I felt very comfortable having them in my home. An unexpected but greatly appreciated component was being assigned a project coordinator, Connie, who stayed in regular communication with me. Connie worked at the office and was on top of everything concerning my project. She coordinated work times with the construction crew and myself, adjusted times due to my work schedule, found answers to any of my questions or concerns. Within 24 hours and usually less, she would respond to my calls or emails throughout the project. She was simply wonderful and made me feel a valued client. I have NO buyer's remorse with this project! I have a beautiful screened in porch and am grateful to have associated with the quality staff at this company. Bravo Chesterfield Fence and Deck!

Perfect.......exactly what I expected from this company. Fence is just beautiful and installation is absolutely spot-on!! All of the staff was wonderful to work with. Thank you for such a great experience.

Most of it went very smoothly. The workmen were there on time and worked very efficiently. They left no mess or debris to be cleaned up. There was one small glitch when the workman hit a gas line, however, the work was stopped at that point and we called someone to have the problem fixed. Once it was fixed, the workman came back and finished the job. Also, Tony at Chesterfield Fence was very responsive and courteous and took the cost of the repair off of our bill immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend Chesterfield Fence. We used them because we have several friends that had their fence installed by them and were extremely happy which is why we used them. The fence is beautiful. We love the gates that lock with a key as we have dogs and this keeps them from getting out and anyone getting in. Overall is was a great experience!

Last year we hired Chesterfield Fence and Deck to install a new fence in our backyard. We were very pleased when the project was completed, and we commend thee professionalism and attention to detail of crew that installed our fence. When we decided to add a ?Four Seasons? sunroom on our existing deck, we began getting bids from four very reputable companies in the St. Louis area. After carefully reviewing the proposals that each of the companies provided, we were convinced that Chesterfield Fence and Deck had a superior product and the most advanced technology on the market compared to their competitors for the price. We contracted to have a ?Four Seasons? Sunroom (approx. 300 sq. ft.) built on our existing deck. In addition to the sunroom, the crew replaced a small section of our deck with Vekadeck Pro (including new stairs and railing). Vekadeck Pro is a superior product compared to other composit products on the market and looks beautiful. The sunroom is self-sufficient, with its own heating and cooling system and makes a wonderful addition to our home. We were extremely happy with the quality workmanship that went into building our Elements Sunroom and would highly recommend Chesterfield Fence and Deck.

I first met with their salesman Keith who went over everything in great detail and worked with us on pricing to both of our satisfactions, construction started a couple of months later. The crew (which was the same throughout) were professional, clean and worked with me with questions and small modifications to the design. The overall result was a screened in porch and deck that was far beyond our expectations. It wasn't necessarily the cheapest, but we had hotter a few other bids and this was definitely in line with the others. The quality of work and the detail in craftsmanship was great. Such nice people to work with. I thought that we were considering some general contractors to do some work on our house including the deck, and I was so happy we decided to go with Chesterfield Sunrooms to do this as that is what they do. The crew were obviously trained well and just knocked out the project in no time. I would recommend Chesterfield Sunroom any time. By the way, I used them a few years back to fix my fence and they did a great job on that also.

From the moment we entered the store in Chesterfield, we had a positive feeling. It is a beautiful store with many examples of their work so we could get an idea of how the fence we chose would look installed. We were greeted shortly after having a quick look around by one of their sales people, Keith. He was gracious about answering all of our questions and talking through the particulars of our needs and environment to come up with exactly what we needed. We selected a couple of fence types and asked for bids, which we had within a couple of days. They had a coupon on Angie's List so a discount had been applied that we didn't expect - that was a nice surprise. He came to the house for an onsite visit to take exact measurements and bring a couple of samples to help us make up our minds about color and answered all kinds of questions. The sales experience, generally the most painful part of a project for me, was amazingly positive. When the crew arrived to do the tear out and installation, the foreman and I did a walk around to make sure he knew exactly what to do, which had also been documented when the fence was measured. The crew, Hermenez, Rene and Carlos (forgive the spelling please), was top notch. They had the old fence torn out very quickly and then began the work on installation. They answered all of my questions along the way and asked for very little on my part. They worked quickly and efficiently and the second day, they didn't even take a lunch break so they would be sure to finish that day, as this time of year they are fighting daylight. The end product was absolutely beautiful. What a difference it makes in showcasing our property! And our neighbors love it too. We have had numerous compliments and have already been asked who we used. The guys also policed the yard after their installation was complete and picked up all of the little pieces of debris that were in the yard and alley. They even swept up the car pad and took a bag of leaves with them. We were very impressed with their professionalism and the pride they took in the job they did. All in all, we had a great experience! This company should be very proud of the manner in which their employees represent their business. Thank you so much!

Seemed to take a long time to get the permit from County. 1/3 payment sent 2 months before work began. Scheduled ours when another project was delayed. Workers arrived on time. Did not appreciate the smoking on the job. Work completed without problems. Cleanup was very good. However, confusion by crew that contract included cement pad. Called office to have it scheduled, Connie apologized for problem and scheduled it for tomorrow. Quality work and we are satisfied with results.

The project went wonderful. Great fence installers. Wonderful product. They were very thorough and the fence looks amazing.

Detailed estimate process. Walked us through all the options and helped us select the gate features and style that would work best for us. Scheduled the work quickly. The crew was professional, respectful of our property and did a very nice job. Used quality products. Above-average pricing but worth it.

Workers showed up on time, did a great job with demolition of old fence and clean up. Very fast installing new fence and whole job complete on same day. Workers were very nice and double checked every aspect of fence and placement in yard with me during the job. New fence looks great! Very happy with job and company and will recommend to others!

Chesterfield was the 4th contractor I contacted to provide an estimate on resolving my deck issues. The primary substructure was 28 years old with the decking itself 11 years old (Trex). The floor joists and headers were deteriorating and bowing due to additional weight of the Trex (versus the original cedar deck). I had added the necessary floor joists but failed to add additional supports to headers. It is a 30X16 deck and after 11 years, the headers bowed and floor joists pulled away a bit. My primary question to each contractor was, "can you repair it?" Each of them said that it would not be worth it and may even cost as much to repair as to replace. Plus, the code where I live (St. Peters), has changed and the deck supports were no longer code as was the attachment of the headers to our bay window in our family room. Each contractor provided an estimate on replacing with two of the 4 suggesting Trex, which I no longer wanted due to mold issues. Chesterfield uses Veka and I did my research on the viability of this product and determined it was the best alternative for my situation. Their initial quote was above my budget and I worked with their project manager to arrive at a better price, which they did. Their PM/Consultant was Kevin Smith and was terrific to work with. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. We discussed all the options including ones that would maintain our budget. He did not oversell but did present some options (like picture framing) that resulted in a much improved look. The main office was also great to work with and were quick to communicate an issue with the Veka supplier leading to a delay in the start of our project. The decking was a back-ordered due to demand. However, working with the supplier, Chesterfield called and said they'd be able to start the project with only a two day delay rather than the original one week they thought it would have been. The three-man construction crew was great to work with! When I did point out that I thought the site could be better cleaned up after they were done for the day, they were quick to make sure everything was spotless from then on. In addition, during framing, they pointed out to my wife that, due to the height of the deck extension, we would need a railing even though the original plans and measurements taken by Kevin indicated it was low enough and would meet code. I called Kevin and explained the situation. He came out the very next day and met me to review the framing and height issue. He remarked that it definitely will require a railing (not part of the original quote) and stairs, and that Chesterfield would take care of it since it was their mistake. This was above and beyond my highest expectations! The job was finished as expected and the support structure is incredibly solid and the Veka deck and railings are beautiful. I would highly recommend them.

Our sales representative was nice and did a great job of explaining the product and service offered by Chesterfield. They use a quality american made co-extruded vinyl (I am a highly technical person and that is exactly the type of vinyl you want). Chesterfield has been around for a long time and they have a great reputation, but you pay for that. We ultimately choose not to use Chesterfield for our fence for several reasons.. 1. Price! They were nearly $4,000 more expensive than the company we choose (who had comparable vinyl and years of experience). 2. They said they could install it in a day! That sounds good, but every other company said 3 days and that leaves you wondering how they can install it so fast without making sacrifices. 3. The huge discount they were able to offer leads me to believe that no one pays the "normal price". When a company instantly cysts %20 off a job that big and then with a little asking takes another 10% off, you really start to wonder how huge their profit margins are, another company gave me far more straight forward pricing.
