They were very polite and responded right away. The communication was really good. I would use them if they serviced my area. It would have been helpful to have the service area listed in the deal, so I knew prior to purchasing that they wouldn't service my area.

We purchased 4 hours of yard cleanup with debris disposal on an advertised Angie's List special deal. It was ordered on July 26 and we had a response via email the next day confirming the deal purchase. We returned the email giving our phone number and had a phone response that evening, which resulted in the owner, Joshua Dubbs, coming out the very next morning to see what was needed. Two days later Ryan arrived early morning and did a superb job with all the cleanup requests. My husband had also asked Josh for a quote on some possible further landscape work and Josh was quite prompt with an estimate. We were very impressed with all prompt communication and service.

I was very pleased with the work by the Grounds Guys. Jesse and Ryan were friendly and responsive throughout the morning as I discussed with them the work they were doing and other tasks to come. They worked steadily, stopping about 45 minutes before the pre-determined end time to clean up. The clean-up was greatly appreciated, especially the hauling away of so much yard waste. My only suggestion to the Grounds Guys would be to respond more quickly to customer inquiries, especially by those who have agreed to hire them to do work. Overall, I felt very positive about the work by the Grounds Guys and would recommend them to others. As for myself, I would definitely use them again in the future.

Josh (the owner) was very responsive! I submitted a request for a quote from the Grounds Guys website via a link from Angie's list, Josh responded within about 30 minutes! He was very easy to work with as well as knowledgeable,informative and professional. He provided us with a landscape design which we loved! He provided a great solution to an ongoing problem we had with water flow across our front walkway from a downspout, which included a rock bed to stem the flow of water, love it!! After the new shrubs were installed, I text'd him with a picture of one of the shrubs that was not looking good, and told him we would continue to water and monitor it, he came out the same day and replaced it! We were not expecting that at all, we just wanted to give him a heads up in case it didn't revive and would have to be replaced! The crew was professional, worked hard, and very responsive to questions; they did an awesome job! Overall we were very pleased with the whole experience. We will probably contact Josh again in the fall to have some trees planted and any other additional landscaping we need in the future.

Service was great and price was reasonable.

I found Josh through Angie's List when my "go to" landscaper was just too swamped to be available. When I called for an estimate, he was able to arrive within two days. We had a garden bed that had been overgrown with myrtle [I hate that stuff] as well as other nasty weeds which had grown into our lilac bushes, forsythia and pine trees. One suggestion he made which no one else did that I really appreciated - we have [had] a giant fountain grass on our hillside, probably 4-feet in diameter. He suggested breaking it up and replanting it into 6-7 smaller grasses along the garden top. His estimate was mid-range to others we had received; but he was able to get us the Black Gold triple-ground mulch we like and was available to get it done within two weeks. SOLD! Paul & Drew showed up on time. They put in a full day's work on the project and were very thorough [better than I would have been considering how hot it got]. We did run out of mulch, but that was my fault since they relied on my estimates from last year's bid work from a previous landscaper. So they had to come back the next day. That night, we had numerous compliments from neighbors who were out walking telling us about how the gardens "just popped" and "looked amazing". Josh, we gave out your name to 3 different families who asked. Hope to see you around the neighborhood. Thanks for everything you and your guys did.

The wall and patio are stunning!!!!! Josh and Tim were professional and friendly. The old tie wall was deeper than anticipated and took longer to remove than they had planned. Both men kept digging in sweltering heat.(It was the hottest week of 2013) They were very careful to not distrub our fencing and hauled all the old ties away. The new wall is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Josh worked with us to help choose the perfect stone for the wall to compliment the house. After completion of the wall we knew a patio was needed. Josh brought samples of pavers and we choose the layout design. The patio was installed quickly with very little wasted material. It is stunning as well! We would definately recommend Greenscene for any landscape projects. We look forward to their return next summer for another wall and a firepit.

Josh always does a great job, went into spots I would have let go if I were doing the job. Takes pride in his work. During the summer we have a scheduled day for mowing and he is always here as expected. In case of weather he comes as soon as possible after the storm. He always blows off the driveway and leaves the yard looking great. We also have Josh weed and feed in the spring and winterize in the fall. He does what ever we ask him to do and does not try to pressure us into something we don't need. Josh is neat, clean and polite.

His timeliness and follow up has been great. The price has been reasonable. We do plan on using him for the landscaping. He is very good at what he does and I just really have no complaints. The estimate for the landscaping was $1,700.00 and I thought that was very reasonable. He is very knowledgeable and I have known him for a while, so it is good to know the company is reputable as well.

The service was fine. The cost was fine, I have nothing to complain about.

This is the second time I have used this company. The hedges are rather high but they were cut perfectly and all the clippings were removed. Office looks great and I will be using this company from now on. The employees are very professional and polite and obviously the primary concern is customer satisfaction - seems rare these days. Great job and would highly recommend.

Josh has been taking care of my neighbor's lawn for a couple of years and we just moved to the area. They seemed very happy with him (more so than the neighbors on the other side of the house) so it made our decision pretty easy. A past experience in a different state convinced me that the right way to go about hired lawn care is to hire who the neighbors are using in the interest of consistency. Josh is currently providing my lawn fertilization services, his guys did my spring clean-up and mulching and will be mowing for me this season. So far, I am incredibly impressed! I cannot begin to count the number of solicitations I received as the weather began to turn towards spring but I am glad that I went with Josh...my lawn looks great and my wallet isn't suffering nearly as bad as some of the opportunistic jokers who knocked on my door and called repeatedly would have liked.

I used JD's service for 2 months in the summer of 2009. He was on time and moved the lawn around the farmhouse and the pasture for $50 and 100, respectively. At the end of the summer, he sold his equipment to one of his workers and they continued the service. I am not sure if he remains in the landscaping business at this time.

I asked Josh to come out to my farm for an estimate on cutting my lawn as well as a path to the pond where I fish. I also wanted him to give me an estimate on landscaping my new septic system drainage field which was installed one month before. Joshua was very nice and even picked up some sticks out of my yard as we were walking around. I asked him to do the work before the weekend because my family was coming out to this weekend property. He said he could do it on Friday. I came on Friday afternoon and the lawn was not cut. He called me on Sunday and left a message stating that he had some unexpected mechanical failure. He ended up cutting the lawn on Monday and we have been on a regular mowing schedule since that time. We discussed cutting the path to the fish pond but the grass was so high that he needed to brush hog the pasture. He said he charges $65/hr of this service. I told him I will see if my neighbor could do it for me. As for the landscaping Joshua never got back to me on it and I have not called him to remind him.

I found out he did landscaping and we gave him the opportunity to do some work a few years ago and we decided to hire him again for this job. He also mows the yard for us and does a great job. All of the plants have always lived!

He did a great job! He did so well, he is in my yard now doing another retaining wall in a different area.

He is very nice and does a good job. He will not mow if the yard does not need it and he is very honest. He always comes on time and we are very happy with his service. He is reliable and we can count on him even if were not home to get the job done.
