They did a good job. I had always done my own sealing but I thought for the price I would have them do it. It was the best sealant I have found. I plan on using them again. They showed up when they were supposed to and did an excellent job.

We received a reasonable bid from Meramec Paving and didn't obtain quotes from other vendors, I think the price they charged was what we expected to pay and we didn't have reason to believe we needed to talk to other contractors. We had a large driveway re-paved and the result looks very bad, the sides of the driveway are cracking off, literally falling off the side of the driveway, a year later. The surface of the drive looks very patchy, where the new blacktop meets an existing area of blacktop there is a significant mis-match in the level of the driveway. We were told not to put our cars on the driveway for 2 days, we decided to play it safe and stayed off for 3 days, when we parked our cars on the driveway we created large indentations in the pavement. We complained about the result and were told numerous times we would receive a call back but after a few weeks still hadn't heard from the company. We called again and they told us they came out to look at our driveway when we weren't home and they thought it looked great, we asked them to come out when we were home so we could specifically go over our concerns and they wouldn't schedule a time, finally after complaining for several months the owner met my husband at our home and said all of our concerns weren't a problem, the driveway looks great. They said all of our issues would be fixed by sealing it. We also have large cracks forming which from our research is likely to occur when the original driveway cracks aren't properly sealed before adding a layer of blacktop. We are disappointed with the result and wouldn't recommend this company. We still think it looks bad, large chunks of rock flake off the top and when it came time to seal it we chose another company. We were diligent this time and received three bids, all three said the driveway could have been done better. All three also said just sealing it wouldn't be the solution, the cracks need to be filled and the uneven pavement and indentations need to be smoothed out and filled.

After a couple of rain delays, they came out and prepped the driveway, then paved it. I was impressed with the fact that they followed up with me and kept me in the loop on any changes in the paving schedule. They were also very professional and thorough. Their workmanship is excellent and hard to find these days. When they gave us a bid, they also listened and answered all our questions. The owner was personally on the job and made sure everything was done right. We had some concerns about the driveway where there were a couple of small indentations from sticks (we live in the woods) and a couple of lines from where they stopped and started again (this was a big job) but the owner personally came out (after we had already paid him) and answered all our questions. Our driveway is absolutely beautiful and with proper care, it should last for many years to come. We will have them come out again to seal it in the future, and the sealing will fill in the small stick marks and the lines where they stopped and started again. From what I understand, this is normal with asphalt, and not a problem. Sometimes, it's difficult to get companies to call you back and deal with your concerns after they have taken your money. Not with this company. They care about their customers before and after the work is completed. I feel assured knowing that, and for that reason, plus the high quality work, I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to friends and family. Also, they purchased their asphalt from an asphalt mix plant that was not the closest and paid more for it because of the higher quality mix so the quality of our driveway would be the very best. I appreciate that, because this was a significant investment for us. Not all asphalt mix is the same. Some is more rocky and doesn't look as good. Our driveway looks great.
