house cleaning
 + -1 moreI contacted Kayla after seeing her ad on Craigs List. She responded and we negotiated an arrangement to clean a Three Story and a Two Story house outside of her local area. She gave a price that was more than I had wanted to spend however I agreed to it for the first cleaning so that she and I could get a feel of things. She finished the lower level of the Three Story house, I took her upstairs to show her around and she began to act odd. I asked if anything was wrong and she began explaining how she would normally charge what we had previously agreed to just for the lower level. I of course was shocked by this...we had discussed the size of the properties and she agreed to a price. She then all of a sudden wanted triple. I was upset and offered her $40.00 for 2hrs. 20min. of work and told her to go ahead and leave. She did so with no complaints obviously not someone to be trusted to do what they say they will. I will never hire or recommend this person for anything or to anyone.
Description of Work: We hired Kayla to complete basic deep cleaning tasks such as dusting, wiping down counters, cleaning tile showers, sweeping/mopping/vaccuming floors. Many items on counters are left unmoved. Granite surfaces are left with a film and had to be cleaned again. Many wood and leather surfaces were left un-dusted and no items were moved out and cleaned underneath or behind. She also lists several items that she will *not* clean (i.e. light fixtures, behind a sofa) as well as several items that she will clean for *additional fees* (i.e. inside a refrigerator, microwave, or oven. a porch, walls and/or baseboards). What was cleaned was not cleaned efficiently, and many tasks fell outside her realm of practice.
