Ed came to our home. after I called and asked for an estimate on puting gravel on our lake from yard. He came and said he would do the job for a set price of $1200.00. He showed up the next day with the crew and material. No written contract. He said I trust you for the money don't you trust me to do the work? We let him proceed. When he was done and wanted his money he said we owned him $2400 not $1200. He said it was because he did some exrtra work for us. He did no more than what we told him to do. Had to go to court and defend our case for not paying him the $2400 he wanted. We had to pay him an addition $400.00.
Description of Work: Placed 2" river rock on the side and lake front of our yard. Tried to double the price because he did not submit a written contract.
