+ -1 moreShawn arrived on time. He was friendly, courteous and pleasant. We discussed extra windows, and he said it would take a while to get them all done. He worked inside and his helper worked outside. I offered coffee to them and only the worker took it, and was very grateful. Shawn had his helper come in to help remove one large window a/c--even though I offered to help (2-person job). They made their way around the house in a reasonable time. Did an excellent job, and I paid the amount we agreed on for the extra windows. We chatted about power washing my house next Spring. I will definitely have Shawn and his staff back in the future.
Description of Work: Shawn and his helper arrived 5 minutes early (bonus!). Started right after we talked about adding 8 more windows--flat rate. We have an old house and lots of windows. All windows and sills were very clean--I was SO happy with the work. Shawn is personable AND professional. He and his helper work hard and were done in an appropriate amount of time. I was extremely satisfied and would hire them again. In fact I plan on having them power wash my house in the Spring.

+ -1 moreShawn called back very quickly when I bought the Big Deal coupon so we could set up an appointment to have our casement windows washed. In addition to the casement windows, they washed two side windows by the front door and the large sliding doors and storm door. They arrived a little later than we'd agreed on, but Shawn called us and let us know that a previous job had taken longer to complete; we were at the end of the day so I understand how this could happen. Two workers stayed for an hour and a half; they were very quiet and efficient. They were also very careful about our instructions; we have dogs and cats so we had to be careful about open windows as they worked in different rooms. This was very important to us and I appreciated their attention to our concerns. My only suggestion is that they use shoe covers as I did find some mud on the floor when they left; I am sure they would have cleaned it up had they, or I, noticed while they were still there. They did offer to put the screens back in for us, also, but we told them they did not have to do that. They were, however, obviously willing to do that extra work. The windows look great and I am very happy to be able to see the outdoors so clearly.

+ -1 moreDo not hire this company. Shawn is a nice guy who is eager to please, but the quality of the work is not very good.
Description of Work: I used this company because it offered a good price as one of the Angie's List Big Deals. I had more windows than the deal covered, and in order to figure out how much extra I would have to pay, I called Shawn, the owner, who asked me to email him the number of extra windows (and what type they were). I sent the email, to which he did not respond. When he arrived, he said he'd figure out the price when his crew had finished. The crew was supposed to come at 9:30, but they showed up almost an hour early, when I was still in the shower. One man started cleaning the windows and was joined by a couple of other men later on. Shawn was in and out, making sure things were getting done. When they claimed to have finished the job, I walked around with Shawn to inspect the windows. Several of them had not been cleaned at all, and others that HAD been washed were done poorly. The screens had been ignored. Neither Shawn nor his workers could put back a screen they had removed; they couldn't get it to fit. I didn't want them to force it, so I had them leave it alone, and now I will have to pay someone else to come and re-install it. One of the workers left the water running in the basement and messed up my bathroom sink, toilet, and floor. There were also drips on my radiator covers. This company does not put down drop cloths to catch drips anywhere, so if you have carpet, beware. A worker even asked if he could eat some Halloween candy I had sitting out for trick-or-treaters. Shawn could see that I was getting frustrated, so he made up a price he thought would placate me. I don't know if it was fair or not; I just agreed to it because I wanted the crew to leave. I have paid another company less to wash my windows, and they did a much better job.

Before Shawn and his employee started working, we went through the house and he counted all of the windows. Before he began, he told me exactly what washing the extra windows would cost. The two men set to work. When they finished, the windows were sparkling, the window sills and screens were clean. The two men needed to go through the house to take off the screens and replace them. They kept everything clean. All materials were cleaned up and put away.

Description of Work: I purchased The Big Deal from Shawn Ward. We had some extra sun-room windows that were not part of the deal so we agreed on a price for those windows. Shawn and his partner washed the windows and the screens throughout the house. They completed the job in 1 1/2 hours. Shawn was very personable and professional. I would hire him again. Great job.

Description of Work: Shawn & his assistant, Darius, were at our home on time, explained what they were going to do and promptly went at it. We have a duplex-down unit with 25 windows. Several had brick sealant on them and they attacked as best they could to get the stuff off. Offered to come back with another type of cleaner later to do. May have them do it in the springtime. Efficient. Kind and conscientious both inside our home and outside. Now we can see out of our windows.

+ -1 moreThe proprietor, Shawn Ward, is friendly, forthright, professional and accommodating. I contacted him on short notice to clean our windows, storms and screens in a narrow time frame (the job needed to be completed within a week). It's not a small job-- Our house is a large, old 3 story building with many different types of windows installed over 100+ years. Window styles range from single pane and triple tracks to modern Marvin casement windows. Shawn agreed to do the work, quoted a reasonable fee for the job, showed up on schedule with three other guys, and completed the job without incident. I was very pleased with their work, and was especially appreciative of their readiness to work with windows that weren’t always easy to open.

+ -1 moreShawn and his crew arrived promptly at 0900, exactly on time. Two of the crew worked outside, washing and cleaning each window, window sill, and screen. The other specialist worked on the inside, going from room to room cleaning and polishing each window meticulously. Even though my daughter and I were going about our business inside, he worked around us very quietly and unobtrusively. The work took about an hour and a half, and the crew was very self-sufficient. All they needed from me was a water spigot! They were extremely neat and tidy. Not one thing was out of place when they left. The owner Shawn did a walk-through of the inside at the end, to double-check the quality. The price was exactly as he stated it over the phone. Shawn and his crew were delightful. I was thrilled with the results and I will definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: I had all 14 of my household double-paned windows washed inside and out, including all the screens, and two storm doors.

+ -1 moreWhen I called Shawn to schedule an estimate, he came over the same day and the estimate was lower than I anticipated, based on other estimates from Angie's list. He also made a special point to inquire about and carefully examine the leaded glass windows that are in the front of our bungalow to ensure that they weren't too fragile to be cleaned. We scheduled the work immediately and he was more than willing to work around my schedule and ended up coming on a Saturday. The day the work was scheduled, he called about fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time and said that they'd be there in about a half hour. It really wasn't a big deal because I had planned on being around in the morning anyway. Shawn came in and introduced me to the two guys who would be doing the work. They got started right away and did an excellent job with my incredibly dirty combination windows.
Description of Work: Shawn's crew cleaned all of the windows, including the storm windows, in our bungalow (first floor and basement). The windows likely hadn't been cleaned in over 10 years, so they were really dirty and many of the combination storm windows were difficult to remove.

THE FIRST TIME THEY CAME TO A BUILDING THEY FORGOT THEIR LADDERS. 3. WHEN WORKING ON THE FIRST JOB, THEY BROKE A KITCHEN SINK BY STANDING ON IT AND NEVER ADMITTED GUILT OVER THE INCIDENT, WHICH HAS DOUBLED THE ESTIMATED COST OF THIS PROJECT.
