Above the Rest

They had a big rush of orders thanks to an Angie's List "Big Deal" so it took a couple of weeks for them to get to us. Not a problem for us but if we'd been in a rush it might have been. They told us about the delay up front which made it less difficult and they showed up when they said they would. The job was done beautifully. What a difference!

The process went very smoothly, I ordered the service on-line, the representative then e-mailed me on a date they could come out to do the work. I let them know that it was acceptable. They arrived on the day scheduled and did the work. The workers went out of their way to really clean the gutters and downspouts. They also informed us of possible improvements that could be made to the gutter system.

Played "e-mail tag" with the contractor for approx 1 1/2 month trying to get the cleaning done. Scheduling was very difficult. The contractor had proposed dates for the cleaning, then no communication for a week or more. I missed an e-mail on Oct. 23 asking to schedule the cleaning on November 11. On November 12, I found the e-mail in my spam, but got no contact in between despite the contractor having my phone number. After that i was asked if "saturday" (11/17) would work. I replied that it would and then didn't get another contact until I got a voice mail on "sunday" (11/18). Decided to cancel service because getting new windows installed.

Did what they said they would, but claimed they couldn't do a complete job because our outside water/hose was not on, so they couldn't tell if the downspout was clear. This was December so, yes, I had shut off the water to the outside and put away the hose before it would freeze. I was miffed because they didn't tell me this before they came out -- had I known they needed access to it, I would have turned the water back on and reattached the hose. Additionally, they didn't tell me this until after they left, so again, I couldn't turn the water on or attach the hose.

g I purchased the deal on Angie's list website. It took a few week to hear from the contractor to set up an appointment. After emailing a few times we came up with a date for the windows to be cleaned, and set up an appointment. The day of the appointment the contractor was running a bit behind. The windows were cleaned, the person who cleaned the windows cleaned them well. At some point there was an issue regarding the time spent cleaning the windows that would be an additional cost however I wasn't going to pay more than what I had agreed to unless I requested additional services. It was resolved and overall I was pleased with the service.

I had to call a couple times to schedule my cleaning. Once I scheduled I was told I had an extra service charge of $20.00. I reread my Angie's Big Deal and my home didn't meet any of the criteria for an extra charge. I let the company know that I should be paying any extra fees. I wasn't charged any extra fees. My gutters were cleaned on the day and time I was told. They did a good job.

They arrived, and my windows were spotless when they left.

They rescheduled once with us, but that wasn't a problem. They were very flexible in finding a time and date that worked for us.

Things went very well. We had scheduled for an earlier date, but the company rescheduled due to weather conditions (it was dangerously hot on the day the work was originally scheduled to be done). The workers showed up on time on the day of the reschedule and were very thorough and professional. This was a Big Deal that offered the cleaning of the 13 windows for $89. We asked them if they could also clean two picture windows, which they did for an additional $20, which seemed to be a reasonable price. It was a good experience, and we would use them again.

Everything was great. I communicated with Shawn via email. The day of the appointment the guys arrived shortly after the scheduled time. They cleaned the gutters and were done in about a half hour. Would use again.

Overall, it went well. Shawn and his crew are good - we had a challenge in scheduling but resolved that.

We bought a big deal through Angie's List for our gutters to be cleaned. It could not have gone easier. We made one phone call to schedule the date and time. They came out when we were not home did the cleaning and left a note in our mailbox. I will never clean my gutters myself again. It's too easy to did this way.

Fantastic! I highly recommend them. Shawn kept in touch with me regarding scheduling and was very accommodating when I wanted to schedule it for late in the season (due to a willow tree that drops its leaves late). He emailed the date they wanted to do the work and then called me that day when they were running a few minutes late. They were very professional and friendly and got the job done quickly and very thoroughly. I couldn't be happier and will definitely recommend them to all my friends.

Job was scheduled for 11/11 but due to a scheduling glitch on the company's side, they didn't come. Plus I had to call them to find out where they were. Sean assured me that they would get to my job. The next few days were cold so they could not work due to freezing in the gutters. They did come 1 1/2 weeks later when the weather was warmer. Sean left a message and he came later that evening to collect what I owed him. He told me that if I had any problems to call him and they would come back. He seemed like a sincere guy. I have to assume that the job was done correctly. I won't really know until we get a good rain. I did see the gunk from the gutters at the downspouts so I know they did the job. All in all, I may use them again mainly because of their price.

We used this company after purchasing a Big Deal special for gutter cleaning. A company representative actually contacted me because they were going to be in our area on a certain date and wanted to know if we wanted to have our gutters cleaned then as well. They were prompt, professional, and took our gutter garbage with them. My only complaint is that there was a $20 surcharge for two story houses that I don't believe was outlined in the fine print of the Big Deal so I was not aware of it until after I'd made the purchase through Angie's List.

Overall, prompt, efficient service. I would use the services of Above the Rest Company in a heartbeat.

It went ok. $100 seems to be the going rate for gutter cleaning for my home, so I am skeptical about this being a deal. Also, when they disconnected then reconnected the downspouts, they didn't connect the water diverters that go into my rain barrels correctly, so for a time being, there was no water being collected in my rain barrels.

Shawn was very responsive but it took about a month before he could get me on the schedule. The windows were cleaned very well however the guys would push the dirt onto the window sill and floor and leave it there. I had to go over every window and clean up so it didn't get ground into my carpet. The guys also moved furniture to get to the windows but did not move it back in place. Some furniture I noticed befire they left and asked them to move back but others I didn't see until later and I had to move myself.

They did a great job on the windows and were extremely organized. Shawn contacted me the day I ordered the Big Deal and put us right on the schedule.

Very professional company. They were fast, thorough and left the cleaning areas & windows spotless. The owner is courteous and ready to accommodate any situation. Will definitely give an A+ referral.
