Shawn and his team were very efficient. Some of the team were being trained and Shawn oversaw all of the action, ensuring that they worked from the top down, that they worked on the inside and outside at the same time to make sure they got all spots, and that they didn't miss anything. I thought they were great - very hardworking. My windows were sparkling! Just make sure you go around and and check to see that all the windows have been latched, once they are through. I didn't think to do it and slept all night with a couple of unlocked, slightly open windows, which isn't super safe.

Very happy. They even disconnected a gutter to remove a small tree that had taken hold and reconnected - at no additional charge! I will definitely use this companyagain.

That was terrible. They took the screens out and usually when I used to do it I used to take the screens out take them outside, hose them down and then scrub them. What they did was they took the screens out and they had this bucket of dirty water and some rags and wiped the screens down inside the house and put them right back.

Once he cleaned to gutters, he did extra's for me.

Screens and sills where not washed. Workers were inexperienced. I rehashed all the screens and sills after they left.

It went very well, we had to reschedule once due to weather but they were very responsive. They were flexible once they arrived (we had more windows than we'd purchased through the deal, so they quoted us a very fair amount for the extra work). It was completed in what seemed a very reasonable period of time. My only minor complaint is that I thought the window sills and area inside/between the windows and the screens/storms would have received a little more attention.

They came excatly when they said they were going to. They were very clean and didn't leave a mess. They were in and out and did a great job.

After several appointments and rescheduling, we finally got the window cleaning done. Scheduling was the hardest part. Once they arrived (promptly), the work was done quickly, efficiently and within expectations.

This company did a very good job. They were very conscientious and any concerns I had they went back and re-did it. They were also very polite and thorough. They were able to get the job done in a timely fashion. I am planning on using them again.

Shawn and his team did a great job on my windows. They cleaned ~20 double hung windows inside and out and wiped down the screens and sills in about 2 hours. I used the Big Deal for a portion of the cleaning, and then paid extra on the day of the service for the remaining windows. Would definitely work with them again!

They were supposed to call me 2 days after I purchased the Big Deal. They never called me.

Shawn was extremely conscientious and thorough. He was businesslike and expeditious. He did all the cleaning himself - and takes pride in his work - as it is his own company. I highly recommend him.

Owner of the company was very pleasant and on time for the appointment. The time frame for the work took longer than expected due to a parking issue. The window and gutter cleaning was not quite as professional as I had hoped for. I had to point out several missed areas on the window cleaning, and the crew was slightly messy. I would use this company again, but ask them to be a little neater.

The windows look great. Above The Rest is very flexible and professional. They did a great job and I will use them exclusively in the future when I need my windows cleaned.

Everything went well, and they did a good job with the cleaning. However, I would advise others to check the fine print on their promotions since I had to pay an additional fee to have my storm windows cleaned.

I have been using. Shawn for about 5 years. He is always very responsive. We did have a few conversations about scheduling, but with the rain and the Angie's list special I expected that. Shawn did the inside work himself. He is meticulous. His other person did all of the outside work and was also very thorough. I almost thought they might not come today at is is unbearably hot (95+). But they came and did the work cheerfully like it was a nice day in spring.

SCHEDULING & CONTACTING: Regularity was an off & on again issue with regard to both. As it were, there were multiple conditions affecting the Scheduling/Rescheduling process. 1) The "Deal" created extra, incoming service work for the company. 2) The prevalence of rainy days. 3) This is a one-person-RUN business, leaving all scheduling, rescheduling, and contacting, up to that one person. In this company's case, also performing and/or supervising each job personally, adds an additional challenge for Shawn, the owner, as any unforeseen situation that may arise for him personally, would also necessitate job cancellations. Contacts were made either by email or phone and sometimes took more than once on my end to trigger a response. I completely understood complications of the rain issues, but there were times that I had to initiate contact on the eventually scheduled dates/times, only to find that they were not going to make it, either because they were still far away and it would be too late to do me on the way home as planned, behind schedule, or the previous job was bigger than anticipated. I became disenchanted, but hung in there. Day of Service: Was called to let me know that they were already done at their previous job and could be at my house earlier than the 11am time, and I immediately agreed. Shawn arrived with two others. He explained first thing that the 2 other men would be doing the work as he wasn't feeing 100% that day due to what he suspected was the very extreme humid day, but that he was staying onsite and would oversee their work. So, here's how it finally went for me... One came inside to open the windows and facilitate the removal of the screens before he began the window washing. He asked me for two things; a towel to set down the bucket, and a paper towel. When he went upstairs to begin, Shawn, from outside below, told him to slide the screens onto the narrow roof below and he would get them with a ladder. I said it would be simple just to carry them downstairs instead of erecting a ladder. Shawn said they would have to put up the ladder to wash the outside of the windows anyway. I then informed him that no ladder would be necessary as both interior and exterior of the windows were constructed to be completely accessible from inside. I went outside to move 2 planters and plastic chairs out of the way and point out the spigot and where our hose was. As the window-washing progressed upstairs, I remained downstairs. I began to hear a loud conversation going on. At this time, Shawn happened to come inside and proceed upstairs to check on things. He informed his worker that I could hear everything and that he should get off the phone. The worker apparently didn't take kindly to this and began shouting m--- f--- over, and over all the way down the stairs and even continued outside. I stepped outside and said, "Is that language really necessary?!" Shawn was over-the-top apologetic and totally stressed by what just happened. He finished the rest of the interior himself, and reinserted the screens with some help from the worker who'd been washing the screens outside. Shawn instructed him to take off his shoes first, which he did, but then promptly went outside in his socks, down the sidewalk and onto the driveway to get the screens. It was pointless to say anything by now. Shawn asked me to check over the windows. I just happened to see a small spot or two from my immediate vantage point. I didn't do a complete trek around the house. The offensive worker remained outside hanging around the truck and back and forth across the street on the phone, smiling and laughing. The next day, once the early morning east sun came through the picture window, it appeared cloudy and I could see remains of where the squeegee stopped. There were minor such spots upstairs only visible it seems when the morning sun hits them but, overall, I'm just glad this task is finally done. Not the most difficult chore for our type windows but, one in our case, we are physically unable to perform ourselves any longer. Additionally, once the truck pulled out, I saw two separate shiny areas on the driveway from where it had been parked. I was hoping it was just water but, unfortunately they are oil-leak spots and were not there before, as I had swept-out the garage and driveway prior. I saw no point in calling about it, but in retrospect perhaps I should have to prevent further damage on someone else's property. Shawn was extremely upset by what happened with his worker, and said he didn't know what caused such an extreme reaction. Shawn is a hard working family man dedicated to making his business successful. I think he needs to do better with his plan-o-gram scheduling. Similar area/location scheduling is well and good but knowing more details about just how much work/time each job entails has to be integrated into the planning/scheduling as well. I appreciate that it was difficult when entire days of jobs had to be pushed out due to all the rain we'd had but, I think, alongside of acquiring more knowledge way ahead, about each individual job, staying in contact the day of, with the next client in line, as current work is progressing, would be a valuable thing to do. Obviously, I must add that he needs a better insight regarding his workers. Being the owner, scheduler, manager, worker and office personal all rolled into one is difficult. But, that is the nature of his particular business. And honest reviews of any and all businesses by the PAYING CONSUMERS is what ANGIE'S LIST all about. Therefore, for the following reasons, I have given my review: 1) First and foremost, I PAY to be a member of Angie's List. 2) For this I expect to get the information I need to make the best choices for the type of work and price that I seek. 3) In return, in order to make the purpose of Angie's List work for me and all its paying consumers, I am obligated to give an honest review and opinion for others to use or discard as they see fit.
