Above the Rest

My windows are so clean it is almost as if there is no glass in them. Now that I have found such an efficient window cleaner I will not wash another window again! Superior job! The crew are a delight and Shawn is a super professional person. He asked if I wanted the men working inside to cover their shoes which I thought was a nice. I said it was not necessary. I have a single story home and they were done in a little over an hour, screens removed, washed and replaced and glass sparkling clean I would highly recommend them. Thank you Shawn.

I purchased a big deal for this company. We thought in general, there are two points of feedback, one is that the quality of the job was a little inconsistent, attention to detail wasn't quite there. It was kind of an 80% job as far as the thoroughness of the cleaning. The second point of feedback would be what was included in the deal and what was over and above the deal that was a little bit not totally clear because you get into window shapes and sizes and it just seemed like there was, what was included in the standard deal was less than what we had expected. Maybe based on the window counts. Over all it was certainly beneficial and it was an improvement, but it wasn't the 100% job that we were hoping for. We paid a little bit more than we expected I think. It was used a few weeks after we purchased the big deal. I remember having extra windows that were not counted.

I have tried contacting them multiple times via telephone and email. I have not been able to get ahold of them.

They never contacted me in a timely fashion; I had to call them. They said they wouldn’t service my area and to my knowledge that wasn’t listed on the deal.

They did a good job. They were prompt, courteous and thorough. It only covered about 3 of my windows in the house so they gave me a good rate for finishing the rest of the windows. I just gave them a clear instruction of what I've been looking for and what I want them to do, and they took care of the rest.

Unfortunately, we've been dancing around schedules... when we are available to be home, they are not available. I DO anticipate a mutually agreeable date in the near future. Will you please send this critique again in a few weeks?

We've used Above the Rest several times for gutter cleaning and our experience has always been great!

I had a little trouble in the beginning getting the cleaning scheduled - probably because this was such a popular deal and they were overwhelmed with orders. Angie's List intervened for me in one phone call and then I got a prompt response and scheduling. The owner of the business was very nice and his workers were experienced and hard-working. One of the workers offered to dump all the water out of an extremely heavy fountain I have on my deck, thus performing a task I could not do myself. I really appreciated that and I also liked the fact that he would go out of his way to help me since it had nothing to do with the job. They were delayed a little that morning by very heavy traffic, but the owner called me and let me know they would be a little delayed and they arrived faster then than they had anticipated. I appreciated the communication. And best of all -my windows are sparkling clean. I would definitely use them again now that I know about them.

Communication was very difficult. Above the Rest exclusively used the Angie's list message service, which I find less than convenient since it's two step: you get an email that alerts you that you need to go to a web site and log in to access the message. I was initially told that there would be an extra charge for the second story even though the coupon said two story buildings were included. It took repeated requests for clarification before I finally got confirmation that there would not be a surcharge. The work itself was performed well and our yard was left in good shape.

Excellent job! The windows were dirty, and the screens were worse....Shaun and his crew cleaned everything and even double cleaned a few windows that needed it...I would definitely call them on a regular basis.

We were expecting the Above the Rest window service to arrive at 1 PM. The owner called a few minutes before to let us know that they were on their way. They had just completed another job a few miles away. I had no problem with them being a little late because they had called ahead of time. The owner and three men came into my home and immediately removed their shoes. We discussed the number of windows on both floors and, because there were more than 12 windows (the number promised), we discussed the additional cost for the upstairs windows, the price was agreed and they all went to work. They all worked efficiently and hastily, doing a very thorough job. For their service I gave Above the Rest an overall rating of "excellent" and that includes their price which I thought was very reasonable. For the quality of service, I rated it "good" for just one reason. Some of the furniture needed to be moved to get to the windows and a few pieces were not put back...we only noticed this after they left. As far as the quality of the windows washed, I would rate it "excellent". As I stated before I thought the men acted quite professionally and answered all my questions. Working in our home did not feel intrusive in any way. There was no chatter or time wasted. I highly recommend this service and plan to call them in late Spring to steam wash and stain our deck. The manager quoted a price that was absolutely reasonable, less than any quote I'd ever gotten before.

The crew showed up on time...very early. They were very professional. I was somewhat surprised I had to pay extra because I thought the type of windows I have (older windows with storm windows) was covered in the price. But it was a small price to pay. Overall, the service was great. I would definitely use this company again.

The owner called 2 hours before agree upon time and asked if they could come an hour later due to house before me had more windows than expected. It was not a problem. They showed up when he said. All workers were very professional. Those that worked inside were going to take off shoes, but I told them not to since I had not vacuumed yet. That was my choice but it was very nice to be given that option. The man who washed inside filled his bucket in my bathtub and the ones outside used my hoses. They were very careful with the water inside. Since I had an extra sliding glass doors with side panels it cost an extra $20 dollars. It was well worth it. After the windows, sills and screens were washed the owner went through with me and checked the work. There were very minor things he caught, like a little dirt on a sill or a smudge or two on a window but he then made sure his employee corrected it. Overall they did a wonderfully professional job. I plan to have them do my windows next year!! It is nice to have sparkling clean windows!

This did not work well. They took forever to do the work, a total of 8 hours, and damaged a window. They cleaned inside and outside. I was told by them they hired new people because of the overwhelming response of the deal. I have this done every year and could see a difference in the work. I would not use again for future work.

Shawn and his crews came on time and cleaned all the windows with a couple of hours. The windows are very clean. At the end Shawn checked every window to make sure everything is fine. His crews are very polite and professional. I will definitely use their service again and would recommend to my friends.

Holy cow, how do I write how terrible they were...I don't even know how to express the dissatisfaction. The windows were streaked, the water was never changed (they cleaned 26+ windows), they barely touched the window sills and only wiped down a couple of the screens but even the screens they cleaned were super dirty still. They left several of the screens halfway secured which is a big pain for screens on the second story. I spent 2 hours cleaning up dirty water drops that they left behind all over the walls and cleaning up the dirty water stains they left on my carpet. It took one of the guys 10 min to clean 7 windows in my basement...inside glass, screens and window sills...if that tells you anything about quality. Shawn wasn't interested in hearing how poorly things went, he wanted to show me how all the dirt on the window was "condensation" in between the double glass panes...which was completely incorrect. Anyway, I wasted $89 and will be asking for a refund of the entire amount due to poor quality and the fact that my windows actually look worse now. NEVER use these guys!

Shawn and his crew were great. They showed up during the discussed time for the appointment. I only wanted the exterior windows cleaned as I live in a condo and we don't have window washers anymore. They setup the ladder outside and did a great job. The screens were scrubbed down and the window frames were washed as well. I'm going to suggest that our association consider hiring Above The Rest for at least a yearly building cleaning.

Ended up getting refund because I think they were just overwhelmed with the response to the Big Deal. Initially scheduled an appointment with them, which was canceled. We rescheduled, he didn't show to the appointment and I didn't hear from him for two days. He asked if I wanted to reschedule, I declined.
