Above the Rest

Poor communication, using A.L. solely. Took almost a month for appointment. Two guys came to do the work on a Sunday. They stayed for about a half hour after pulling out a ladder. I was skeptical at job quality at the time, but how am I going to prove it. Now that the weather is rainy, I can see they either didn't do a thing or they did a terrible job of it! This situation is what I was attempting to avoid by joining and using Angie's List. Needless to say, A.L. is overhyped. I wouldn't use this company again if it was free. AVOID ABOVE THE REST!!!

It took some time to get the actual appointment scheduled. It was partly my fault but he didn't seem real eager to, you know, get it on the books. They kind of didn't make it a priority. They had to come out twice.

They did a great job and I was impressed with their service.

They did a good job cleaning the gutters. They said that I would have to pay a $20 fee, but they waived it because I am a senior citizens. They did a good job on the gutters from what I can see. I am satisfied. They did break my porch light. He was nice about it, he said in a week he replace it, but he didn't. Shawn was his name. I called to report it Angie's List on Monday Dec 7th, and later that night Shawn came to put in the new light. I am now satisfied.

12/9/15 still haven't been able to get a response from them--I asked you for a refund last week, my 30 days are up tomorrow

This was an $89 big deal purchase. It was okay. They rescheduled me twice so I was not happy about that. When they finally did come they had to come a second day, so actually I did not like them having to come a second day instead of one day. I don't like being rescheduled because I had taken that day off to get my windows cleaned. So I was not happy about that, but my windows look good. I told the workers that I was going to leave a bad review because I did not like the fact that I had taken two days off to do it and then they did not do it. Then they had to schedule a third time. They said not to blame them and that it was the owner's fault. When I talked to the owner, he left a message on my voice mail the second time they could not come, and he said they could come out at noon. I called back and left him a message that it would not work because I did not get off work until 3:30. He left another message saying that was messing with his schedule. So I left him a message saying they they were supposed to work by my schedule because they had rescheduled twice. Then he had his workers come when they got off from work that day. As far as my windows getting cleaned I would say I give them a B, but as far as coordinating I that an F. The guys were great. They were very personable and nice. They kept apologizing saying it was not them. I told them I total understood and I still had to take two days off work. I did not like the customer service. The price was excellent. There were a couple of windows that were half cleaned and they had to re-clean them the second day, but I understand because it was after 4 o' clock and they could not see. I kind of wanted to talk to the manager after we had left each other so many messages but I did not actually talk with him after we left each other the voice mail messages.

Shawn was very outgoing and professional. Gutters were of great need of cleaning. Second story rain gutters were tackled with Above the Rest's long ladders. Clean up was included. I felt the service was reasonably priced considering the time, height factor, and logistics of procuring long enough ladders for the job. I would use Shawn's service again next time around.

We have used them twice and are very happy with their service.

It was not good. I unfortunately had to follow because they were not respectful, they just weren't careful being with the water around the hardwood floors. I had to ask them to do certain things so it just was not in my, I'm back to my regular window washer. I only used them once. I just had them do minimal because I didn't have time to follow them and make sure they weren't putting the bucket of water on the furniture, or hardwood floors or, I was surprised they didn't have, what my window washer does is he comes and he covers the floor so that he doesn't get the water on it, I mean he's very careful.

Started well, took much much longer than expected and they had to rush the end. Service was fine, some of the workers seemed pretty new to the job.

They came and did the job in a timely fashion. If I had really had to find something to complain about, perhaps they could've cleaned up a little better around the downspout where the leaves were washed onto brick pavers . But overall, they were punctual, friendly and did the job.

Two men took about one hour to clean out the gutters on my 2 story residence.

I wasn't real crazy about it. It was one of those special deals. They charged my credit card and didn't come out for a month and a half. When they did finally come out, it went alright. There were no additional charges. I couldn't tell much difference between before and after. They did show up on the day they finally said they were going to show up.

We had originally scheduled work for the 17th, but he never showed. There was a rain-out that day, but there was no notice indicating as such; he never called. He later said November 28th and never came. Then he told me to message him through Angie's List and he seemed very confused, saying that he didn't know who I was. I just didn't feel like there was any follow-up.

They were on time and I didn't even know they were out there until they had finished the work.

They were good. I wanted them to open up the windows and clean the window sills, but when they tried to they were full of hibernating bees so they wouldn't do that part. They were good.

These guys are really nice. Shawn Ward the owner keeps you informed of the schedule and when they will arrive. I will have them back again in spring.

We purchased a big deal - this is the second time we have hired them and they did a great job. We will use them again for both window and gutter cleaning.

The service performed was excellent. The provider followed up with written and personal feedback on the condition of my gutters and how to properly maintain them in the future

I had to change the service date several times, but, the company owner was very understanding with the changes to my schedule. The day of the service did not turn out as expected. I was called by the owner to notify me that the workers were delayed at another site, which pushed back my scheduled time. When they arrived it was close to dusk. They worked quickly, but they had several windows to wash when darkness arrived. They finished the job, but the next day when I could see the windows clearly, there were some areas that were missed. The workers were very careful not to splatter water and they did show professionalism. I think it would have been better if I had just rescheduled instead of allowing the work to continue in the dark. I will give them another opportunity to do a better job in the spring.

They did a great job on the windows. They spent over two hours and anything I asked them to do, they had no problem. Very courteous.

This is one of the first coupons I purchased through AL. I now know that some service providers have "locations" in multiple states. This complicates all aspects of fulfilling service or it did for me. This is a provider that has a couple of guys in my general area. Due to the popularity of the coupon, scheduling service and communicating was tedious and it took months to fulfill. I purchased in October and tried to schedule before snow. ATR was too busy and we agreed to wait until spring. Finally a time slot became available. The 2 guys showed up on time with their ladder and cleared the gutters using my hoses. They were friendly.
