the provider would not provide a approximate cost to have the deck done in an oil stain. I communicated a number of times with him and gave him the info he requested and never received a price range other than Angies' list requires a $2.00 per square foot extra. I cancelled the contract on or about June 4, 2016 and never received a refund even though I specifically asked for one.

All work was done by a small crew. We provided design ideas with photos and verbal conversations. They recommended wood over composite. Mid-project we requested changes to the cement footings and pillar trim after they had installed them. They had to remove and redo some of the trim work and were able to keep the existing cement foundations. They performed all our change orders to our satisfaction. The crew manager was friendly and courteous. The porch is sturdy and the wood has not deformed significantly over this past fall, winter and spring. Neighbors have paid us many compliments and we are pleased as well. Nice job guys.

The deal mention washing and sealing. However, since my deck was stained once , they said, they would do only the washing and I had to get a new quote for the staining, I eventually got the staining done. Shawn and his crew did a great job.

I have no doubt in my mind that the vast majority of the reviews for this company are falsified. This whole experience was a mess from the beginning. Scheduled a visit - cancelled at the last minute. Three other times was scheduled to come and never showed up OR called. I always had to follow-up with him to find out what was going on. The final time he claimed the truck broke down on the way over. This business is a joke and the $199.00 deal is a joke. I never got to the point where he actually came but it sounds like from reading other reviews that the $199.00 will cover a deck the size of a postage stamp. I cancelled. Buyer beware. Stay away from this unprofessional and sketchy company.

they were terrible. they left our deck worse than when they began- our wood was completely splintered and destroyed. do not use them. they clearly had no clue what they were doing. plus did not seal over 50 % of the wood.

They didn't show up to a scheduled appointment, multiple times. Also, it was hard to get a response from them via email.

The guys that did the work were very excellent, they did a very credible job. However, it took me a few weeks to schedule an appointment. An appointment we had scheduled got postponed because of the rain yet they didn't take my schedule into consideration. Don't get me wrong they were great overall, but I told them we were trying to get this done ASAP but I'm more concerned about quality, which the quality was outstanding. It was just a minor annoyance that we had to wait so long. Overall I'm very pleased but I think it could have been managed a little better.

This was a $99 big deal purchase. It was fine. They had some issues. The first time they were supposed to come it rained real hard and I did not hear from them. I had to call him to find out whether he was coming or not. He said he was just about to call me and reschedule. Then we rescheduled for next week and then he called to say his truck broke down. Then he rescheduled and then he came and did a fine job. The actual work was fine, it was just that the scheduling was difficult. If it rained I thought he should call me. Our downspout is leaking and it is all clogged up now. The price was fine. It cost $20 more than the purchase price of the deal. To get better grades from me they could have been more responsive and now I am not sure about damage to the gutter because it is split open and looked like it is clogged.

Above The Rest did a good job of cleaning the gutters that I could see with the naked eye from my upstairs windows. However, I did find that a couple of my downspout extensions were detached from my gutters and the downspout extensions still had a thick blockage of leaves in them so not sure how well they cleaned the downspouts. Overall, I thought the job was fine but I gave low marks for responsiveness and punctuality because I had to reschedule several times due to different issues at Above the Rest; previous jobs took longer than expected and equipment failure. Shawn was very nice and apologetic for the scheduling issues.

I purchased Angie's list coupon for a deck cleaning and refinishing. I received an email stating that they would be at my house on 5/14/16. I assumed they were going to give me a quote, but when I showed up at home they were already power washing our deck. Once they were completed with the power washing they told me how much my estimate was for the completion of the project and it was outrageously expensive! The original coupon was for 100 square feet, but my deck was 700 square feet and I was then quoted $2 per square foot to finish the whole deck. It was then lowered to $1 per square foot, but that would be $500 above the original coupon price of $200. My deck was greater than 100 square feet, but I should have been contacted to give approval to start any additional work rather that their assumption that I wanted it done.

Shawn committed to a complicated paint/stain job, which ended up taking much more time and effort than either of us anticipated. The weather often didn't cooperate, and we had a bit of difficulty in scheduling his follow-up visits to continue adding more coats of stain and doing touch ups. Unlike other people we've asked to complete services for us, I had no doubt Shawn would keep his word when we asked for attention to certain details. He was always friendly. At the completion of the job, we are satisfied with the work and feel it was a very fair price. I would be interested in his other washing services in the future.

Had Shawn and his team back out for my Spring gutter cleaning. This is my 3rd gutter cleaning from Above the Rest. Will call them back in the fall after the leaves are down. Very nice young men.

Crew was on time and confirmed price discussed. Very professional and made sure all the clog debris were cleaned up. Would highly recommend.

It went fine. They showed up, they did the job and left. I have no complaints. They responded promptly, made the appointment, showed up on time, did their job and left.

It went fine. They broke a flower pot but they replaced it. They didn't acknowledge it, we noticed it later in the day. Then we called them and they said, oh we didn't see that, it looked liked they narrowly bumped it and tried to put it back, it was like seven pieces that didn't get put back (inaudible). They took the big pieces and tried to reassemble it. It was an outdoor pot. They came out soon after the purchase date. They did a good job on the windows. The price was fine.

This was an extremely small house; I think there are two rows of gutters. Because it was such a small home their wanting to charge me an additional $20 did not sit well with me.

Had issue where they didn't show up the first time - said had made an error on their calendar. After got them rescheduled, they arrived promptly, did the work quickly and professionally and cleaned up after themselves. We were happy with the work done and will consider using them again for annual gutter cleaning.

The provider did a great job cleaning the gutters and down spouts on my two-story home. He discarded all debris. He and his staff used extreme professionalism.

I was not very happy with that. They could not have been here more than 10 minutes. They said they took care of everything. Apparently they did because I didn't have any problem. They didn't show me what they got out of the gutters. They put a ladder up right near their truck at one part of the house and ran water through all of the gutters. I couldn't believe how fast they did it. I couldn't get over how fast they did it. They could have communicated with me what they were doing and how they were going to go about doing it. They could have shown me if there was any debris that they took out. I was shocked of how quickly they came and went without proof of what they had done. I was in the house.

They did a great job. The windows were good but I had better. The price was fair. They came out when they were supposed to. Their professionalism was fine. I found someone else I like better.

They arrived on time and completed the job quickly. They were polite and courteous. They did leave some of their equipment behind; a hose and a bucket. They returned the next day to retrieve their equipment.

I was not home on the scheduled date. I believe I had called to reschedule once I knew I would not be home; however, it was late in the season and rescheduling was not recommended due to limited availability. I wanted the service done before winter so I kept the appointment as scheduled. I was interested in learning how much debris was found in my gutters (downspouts) but was not informed; I was really busy at that time and did not follow up with a phone call, for which I take responsibility. I would suggest, if possible, this vendor leave some form of a report with the homeowner, if not already being done so, especially if the homeowner isn't on-site upon completion. I did receive a business card under my doormat which proved the vendor arrived on the scheduled date, but was the work done? I have no proof, just faith that our agreement was honored. It's a 3-story house so I couldn't peer into the gutters.
