HOME DEPOT INC

We went through Home Depot. We had new windows put in and I think they contract with someone. I wasn't happy. I just had to call this morning because they left the windows in a very much a mess and a couple of the tilt out mechanisms don't work. I am just finding all this out because my cleaning people are here and they just had a terrible time trying to clean the windows. I am right now dealing with them to come back and do something. I would not be happy at this point now but if they come out and fix it that would be fine. The installation was included in our overall bill and my husband took care of that. They were nice people. Given the fact that they left pretty much a mess I wouldn't give them anything more than 'D' on the grading scale at this point. I am sure it was a fair price and I think the installation is included in the overall bill. I am sure it was a good price. Providing that they come and fix a couple of the latches that tilt the windows out to clean, I would grade them a 'B' for quality. They were very nice but professional to me, leaving debris in my yard and having to call twice would go down to a 'D'. I would use Home Depot but I would not like these installers. We have always been happy with Home Depot but obviously they have contractors so I don't want to rate Home Depot down. I like Home Depot. I much prefer them over another company even though we have dealt with both. I like the windows but I wasn't very happy with the installers. I just didn't pay a lot of attention to a lot of this but there were some things that I should have been more aware of until my cleaning people came to do the windows because we are getting ready to put blinds in this next week. They had a terrible time cleaning the inside and much less on the second floor the windows we can't clean and they were left a mess. They are taking care of that. They are being very responsive. I have already had 2 calls this morning. They probably will get somebody out today to fix the latches on the tilt out windows and then schedule for them to come back and clean the outside. That says that is good service from Home Depot's stand point anyway.

I got all the lumber at a pretty good price. I had a Home Depot card with a twelve month no interest, and I also got ten percent off, so that was one of the biggest reasons why I bought from there.
