Got done exactly as planned

From initial contact, through the estimate, to the work itself , everything about working with Huntley was a pleasure. Chris was professional, straightforward, hardworking, and trustworthy. His crew was similarly impressive. I am completely satisfied, plan to work with them in the future as new tree growth needs work, and would recommend them without hesitation.

The trees look good. They were conservative in how much they removed which I appreciated but others may prefer a more shaped tree. Steve Huntley inspected the trees within several days of my initial call according to my schedule. He called me prior to his arrival at my work so I could meet him at my home. He explained is philosophy and how he estimated the cost. He provided me with an address of a commercial property with trees he had previous trimmed so I could have a visual example of his work. They completed the job within 72 hours of my approval of the contract however, this was due to mud and snow preventing work on other contracts which required large equipment. Steve stated normally the wait would be 2-3 weeks.

I'll start with the only thing that gave me hesistation.... it did take many persistant attempts to get the manager to call me back to come do an estimate. I was persistent in getting a hold of them due to their great angiles list reviews and did get him to come out. He did and actually put more thought into my 2 tree problems than the other companies i had called. Now, I realize maybe his operation runs more lean, there was no fancy company logo hat or shirt as with the other two companies, but he definitly knew what he was talking about - maybe more so than the 2 competitors who had given quotes before he came. He put a lot of thought into the best way to do the work, into the estimate- which ended up being less than half of the competition. And was much better thought out in terms of how to solve the problems. I went with Huntley and it was a very good experience. they were punctual and did all the work as agreed, hauled off all waste and were done in just a few hours. I was more than happy with their service they did a great job and I would highly recommend them. and quote was accurate.

Arrived on time with all necessary equipment and two men to do the work. Promptly engaged the job, raked and gathered all debris from cuttings and disposed of it before leaving the premisis.

Steve was a little hard to get a hold off. He did explain that he was a little overwhelmed all the jobs he had after a big storm. He was always very nice. HIs crew showed up on time and were very nice. They did a good job trimming my trees. However, they did leave ruts in my yard. When I asked if Steve owned a roller or anything to help fix the ruts they had left in my yard the response was and quot;no, he sure doesn'tand quot; and they left. I am a single woman that does not own a truck...so fixing the ruts is not something I look forward to. I suppose I could have pushed the situation, but it would be nice if people would just do the right thing. I have had my trees trimmed before but the wonderful company that did it went out of business. I would use Huntley tree service again, but I think I would have a discussion about ruts with Steve before the job was done.

They were excellent in all aspects of the job - work performed, price, etc.

We requested quotes from several arborists and tree trimmers to decide whether these trees could be saved or if they should be removed. Most agreed the Blue Spruce was sick and could be treated but would eventually die. The other tree was a Bradford Pear and was too close to the house, split trunk and had dead limbs. We decided to have them both removed. The price for this was veryexpensive with most of the companies but this one gave us a good price and it included the removal of the debris as well as the stumps.They even removed 2 old stumps at no extra charge. In addition, they elevated the other trees and trimmed them as requested to give them a better shape. This was an additional $25 for all three! They were prompt, polite and hard working. These trees were removed branch by branch, not just cut down. They were very careful about the yard, the deck and the roof. I would use them again.

We are extremely happy with the job they did and would recommend them to everyone.

It was a simple procedure that went well.

Prompt to make estimate. Beat other bids by $200.00. Workers came on time. Carefull not to damage lawn. Removed trees, left the chips for us as we ask, raked the yard.

Great--and the price was incredible! We did have a slight delay as their truck broke down, but we were in no hurry so it wasn't a problem. They came about a week later than we had planned due to this, but again, there was good reason for the delay. As soon as the truck was fixed, they called and showed up when they said they would. I have already recommended these guys to several people I work with. I hope they get the work!

We had a HUGE blue spruce that was growing too close to the house, risking damage to the roof and house itself. We called Huntley and described our situation. They came out that day and did an estimate for us. We discussed at length the options and what was best for the tree/house/etc. We decided to remove it, and the next day they came out while we were gone and removed the tree. When we got home we were so amazed and impressed with how completely and cleanly they had removed this tree. It looked like someone came and erased the tree. There was no stump, there was no debris. We could not be more happy with this company and will be talking with them for our future tree needs. On a side note, Mr. Huntley also gave us suggestions on what to plant in our yard and where, so that we would have the best outcome.
