We first consulted with a Home Depot representative closer to us. During that meeting, he called Doug Willis at the Blue Springs store with questions. We had no challeges with this because he was new to that department and still learning. After several more weeks fo thinking about options, we decided to try Home Depot again. this time we made the appointment directly with Doug in the Blue Springs store. He was very knowledgeable and provide sufficient guidance that we were able to make a decision and start the process. The installer came for a precision measurement (templating) prior to the custom counter top being manufactured. On installation day, they arrived when expected, did a good job with no damage to existing tiled back splash or cabinets. We are very pleased with the entire process and professionalism by Home Depot and the installer.
Description of Work: Replaced kitchen counter-top.

The system is super quite and efficient. They delivered and installed the unit. They were really good. They did everything they said they were, did it in a professional manner and didn't add any additional price. The man who did the install was fast, pleasant and was very informative. I checked around at other places and they had everyone beat on price.
Description of Work: We bought a new dishwasher from them.

Description of Work: I purchased flooring (12" tiles) for a 5x6 foot bathroom floor and it was the single worst installation project in my 65 year lifetime (which includes building 5 houses). They contracted out to another company to install, and that company subcontracted to another company, and then that company arranged for yet another flooring company to do the install. It was a mess. The original purchase, installed Oct. 18, had to be removed...over $300 worth of tiled ruined and not reimbursed, and they left the entire house covered with grout and mastic powder after drilling out the poorly installed tiles. The original company finally sent someone over on Dec. 28th to fix the mess. It was two months of h***, which also delayed the other workers and companies waiting to install new vanity, toilet, and a new tile tub/shower wall surround! Bathroom finally done in mid January. Never use Home Depot. Read their national reviews online. Terrible customer service!

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a major business installing a floor in my home. We purchased a beautiful porcelain tile for installation in our foyer. We were so excited because it was just what we wanted. Home Depot uses a contracted installation company called GS Floor Design to do their installation. The morning of the installation two men showed up to install the tile. They told us they were out of work roofers and they didn't know what they were doing. I tried to call the manager of the store and no one called back. Bottom line-the floor was installed wrong, it was uneven-badly uneven. Twice GS Floors sent workers out to correct the problems but nothing was really done-just an adjustment here and there. Finally out of desperation, we called the corporate store in Atlanta, Georgia. Then the manager of GS Floors came and said they would replace the whole floor. Funny how his employees felt sorry for us and told us how he tries to get the customer to think it is right to get out of fixing mistakes. So, the floor was reinstalled. Though it was remarkably better, there were areas that were still uneven. Again, they tried to make us think it was just "our floor" but if you look at other floors with porcelain tile, it is usually laid nicely even. So, finally in desperation, we went to the store and asked the manager to come and look at it. We found the district manager was a blond bimbo and useless. He did come out and said it was not grouted right. So, he wanted to send GUESS WHO out to fix the floor. It had now been about 4 months that we had trued to get this done. I remember crying as I talked it over with my husband. We decided to not have them come back. They had had 5 opportunities to fix the floor. We feel GS Floors does not know how to work with porcelain tile. We plan to look very carefully and find someone to grout it in correctly but these GOOF OOFS. Our home was damaged. The oak trim around the was skinned up. Our beautiful oak steps were scarred. The manager of GS Floors promised he would be with us until we were happy and he was there once. He left and was never seen again. Also, at the end of each repair, we were asked to sign something so they could get paid-SURPRISE, it was a statement of our satisfaction but it doesn't say that. Your work so hard your whole life for a nice home and then encounter this, I would advise anyone needing a porcelain tile floor go to Lowes

The salesman was very professional. The product offered was a good quailty product at a fair price. Unfortunately, the price was just a little out of our price range.
Description of Work: We had a price quoted for 6 new windows in our home.
