Dan showed up on time and was very helpful with everything. He explained everything he was doing and gave me peace of mind when it was all done. I would definitely have him back to service my heating and air conditioner and if it came time to replace either one I would call him for that too. He is fair and very honest. You can't go wrong with Dad's.

We recently had a string of 95+ degree days here, so naturally, the AC went out on an extended vacation. I looked around for help with diagnosing and repairing the system, and landed on the Home Advisor web page, where I was given several local firms to contact. After reviewing them all, I chose Dad's Heating and Cooling, and I couldn't be more pleased. After requesting a quote online, I received a call-back less than one hour later from Dan, AKA "Dad," who asked me several questions about the symptoms, and answered several of my questions about how to best address them. We agreed on a appointment time for the following afternoon. and he arrived right-on-time. He also called me en route to let me know that he was on his way. Once on site, he was very helpful; answered several other questions I had, and explained everything he needed to do to troubleshoot the system. He was very through in troubleshooting, taking multiple temperature readings of the system, both outside and inside the house, in order to diagnose the problem (bad capacitor at the compressor end, and low refrigerant level.) One of the reasons Dan took multiple readings was to determine how much refrigerant it would take to replenish the system. (I don't know if you've priced refrigerant lately, but it would make an excellent wedding gift for someone you greatly cared for. Let's just say, it ain't cheap. :-) At each step of the diagnostic process, Dan always explained what went wrong, and what was needed to remedy the problem. He also gave me the price of the item needed, and always asked (BEFORE he did anything) if I was agreeable to the cost. So, to make a long story short; HIGHLY recommended. Thanks again Dan, i mean "Dad!"

Got the a/c running in about 30 minutes for a decent price. Would highly recommend.
