Creative Covering's NuSash

Contracted on October 4th for install in 6 weeks. Door was installed 10 weeks and one day later. Even giving them a "mulligan" for the week of Thanksgiving, that's still over 3 weeks late, and four weeks if you count the week of Thanksgiving. The lady I spoke with at NuSash indicated that my install was postponed because they had won a contract for a big job at an apartment complex and were too busy with that to fit me in. From my perspective, if they bit off more than they could chew with the apartments, this is not my issue. Basically, I was told that the bigger job was the priority and they would squeak me in as best they could after that. I had two other major jobs done in the recent past. A new furnace and garage door replacement. Both of those companies communicated more proactively with me, and completed the jobs on time without excuses. The lady I spoke with at NuSash basically made me feel like a non-priority. If you tell me 6 weeks, and it takes 7, I'm probably fine with that. 8 weeks, probably fine with that. But when it is a day over 10 weeks when 6 was promised, I think that's excessive. Especially when you tell me point blank that my work is delayed because a more lucrative job came along in the meantime. I get no joy out of giving a business a mediocre of poor review. I'd much rather give 5 stars or all "A" ratings. But in this case, it was not warranted. In 2017, I'll be replacing all the windows in our home. I'll be looking elsewhere for a vendor for that job, most likely. One last thing in case I forgot to mention it. When I had my furnace installed, and the garage doors installed, in both cases the installer shook my hand and thanked me for the business before they left, and told me to please call if I needed anything at all post installation. In contrast, the NuSash installers just packed up their stuff and left. No thank you, no here is how to call us if you have any issues. They were competent and did the work properly, but it struck me as a touch odd that they just left without a small thank you or something. A minor point, admittedly, but it stuck out like a sore thumb in contrast to my other recent vendors.

These were installed in an older house. It took two days. I also had insulation blown into the walls by Hayes earlier. It is amazing how comfortable and quiet this 1907 house has become. I also appreciate how well they work with their installers. I hired the installers, Albert Loving (and son), to do some extra storm-window installation. Creative Covering's NuSash was not only OK with that but they helped schedule it. I went with them based on recommendations from co-workers who used them.

They were great. I would highly recommend them. They are on time, they completed the work as was promised, and it was high quality work.

The whole operation was very friendly and professional. This is a family operation and it showed they cared about quality product and service to their clients. Chad was very knowledgeable and expertly matched the color and style of new windows to those previously replaced in the home just purchased. He came to our home not once but twice to verify measurements and color. He took a last minute change (on a tight schedule) in stride. The installation crew was very efficient and completed the job quickly, quietly, and clean. We were very happy with this company and strongly recommend their services! We will use them again in the future.

Windows were ready within the time frame given. Workers arrived on time and installed all windows in 1 day. Clean up was thorough and all old windows and debris were taken away. I had previously used NuSash for 13 windows. Those windows are still like new. I did not hesitate to call NuSash to complete the replacements.

I contacted Chad , the rep for the company and I would ask for Chad in particular because he is so thorough and professional that I was totally impressed. Courtesy is his middle name. What the man says is what the man does. I got four other quotes from four other Window Pros in Kansas City area and this one , to my surprise, came in at the lowest price with the same exact materials, everything. My windows arrived just when promised, the crew arrived when promised (on time in the morning) and it took a full two days but this crew worked hard, took short breaks, kept the property clean, free of debris and when they left it was spotless and everything done right. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to replace windows in their home or office. Thank you for a job well done.

Overall good transaction. Only problem was with my transom windows were the wrong size but they were able to use them and a money allowance was made for the mistake.

I'm impressed with this company in all aspects. From the first meeting and price quote in the fall through the ordering process and finally with the installation. On installation day the team arrived on time, but missing a window. My missing window arrived about an hour later, but caused no delay. Another slight error was that I'd ordered full screens and the windows arrived with only half screens. The screens were promptly ordered and arrived a week later. I received a total of 5 windows, with full installation (including the packing and wrapping of the exterior) and full screens for the cost listed above. I LOVE the new windows. They're beautiful and they really help with the summer heat. My air hasn't run half as much since their installation. Also, they secured my shutters to the house better, without my reqesting so, during the window installation.

4 windows on south side of house were very old and needed replacing. Jim Poe came to give the estimate within 2 days of my call. He explained the windows and options. Albert did the measuring within 1 day of my decision to go ahead. The windows were ordered and the installation took place within a week. Albert is the crew leader and speaks very good English. Communication was easy. His crew worked hard. The installation was well done including insulation and calking inside and out. They took away the old windows and cleaned up. It was a totally positive expeerience. I will have them back to do the next 4 windows on my list.

It went great. They were accommodating by coming out on Christmas Eve to give us a bid. We liked the quality of window and the fact that they always use the same installation crew assuring good work. The installation was a few days earlier than estimated. We are very happy with the work and qualify of product. The installation was right on time, and in fact perhaps a couple of days early. We were just going to do 4 windows, but with the price so affordable we are having them back to do the rest right away. After only 5 days since installed, we have already noticed a huge difference in how often the furnace comes on. We really couldn't be happier with them.

They were a small company so they were very competetive due to low overhead. The owner came out. He was really down to earth and honest. He told us ways to save money without all the extras. He was flexible. The windows have been fabulous. They installed them in one day and did a great job. They were half the price of major businesses.

However, the installation is average because installers are lazy. They are not self motivated (until its close to end of the day) and you'll need to tell them to fix things window by window. They took down old windows and put the new one in ok, but then they caulk all gaps that touch the window only. They leave me all the molding and sills to re-caulk. Not enough insulation in gaps either. Although they replace break mold and sills for free, but customer has to tell them to do it or they would hide the fact that wood rot repair is needed. I still have some wood rot to do because they didn't tell me. Cleanup job is slow and incomplete, leave me all the screws, nails and dust. Also, be sure to have everything on paper in your copy. Jim would forget things he said, such as he overcharged the first deposit because he forgot how much he asked from the customer.

The cost for the product was very comparative and the installers were unbelievably fast and really good. It took them about 6 hours to do the 14 windows. They knew what they were doing. The contact was Jim Poe.
