+ 1 moreAsked for estimate, which was provided. Paid $600 for materials. Then began several weeks of excuse after excuse about why work could not be completed. After some time and a lot of calls, was able to get deposit back.
Description of Work: Was to drywall framed media room and install hanging ceiling,

+ -1 moreThe estimate was done very professionally. Had he shown up to do the work, I feel that he would have done a fine job. Failing that, it should not have taken so long to get a refund. It is my opinion that we would not have received a refund without the influence of his colleague. Other homeowners might not have that advantage.
Description of Work: The ceiling in our family room is divided into 12 sections by box beams. Two of those sections have sustained water damage over the years. We contracted with Steve to have the texture removed, the damage repaired and new texture put up. The total cost was to be $750 of which we paid half in advance. June 22nd-July 31st: Using a variety of excuses including personal injury, vehicle failure and the death of his mother, he didn't t show up to do the work. August 1st-August 22nd: After many broken promises to either deliver a refund or mail it, we finally enlisted the help of one of his colleagues who applied some leverage. We received a refund money order which we cashed.
