About 5 weeks ago we noticed after moving furniture around that there is about a 1 inch opening between the wall and window seal which is allowing cold air to flow straight into the house. We have done the best to seal it off but have also been in contact with company as they were who the realtor has as completing the work. Between my husband and myself there have been over 6 calls placed to the company. We continue to be told the work order will be pushed thru. Not sure how many hoops one company can continue to ask people to go thru to resolve an issue of a product they were to stand behind! ***Picture will be added to show the faulty work****
Description of Work: Per the inspection of our home we purchased August 2016 there was a wall/window work that needed to be completed in our dinning room of the home we were purchasing. The company was hired by seller to complete.

Mr. and Mrs. [Member Name Removed] have never been customers of our company. The former owners of their house hired one of our subcontractors to do some work at the house. I will NEVER do business with this company EVER again and encourage others to steer away from this company. Anyone who would treat a customer this way in their own home deserves to be exposed. The bottom line is the company should have completed the job. There should have been no reason for me to have made ANY of the calls in regards to the wall repairs. They should have made sure that they completed the project to my satisfaction. I was ready to give them another chance. I was ready to buy more windows from them if they had only made me feel like they cared. Instead the man implied I wasn't being truthful and tried to blame me for the problems I experienced..
Description of Work: This company, C. Michael Exteriors, out of Lee's Summit, MO installed 2 windows for me in October 2011. My plan was to buy 2 windows each year until all the windows in my house were replaced. During the installation there was some minor damage done to the wall around the window which they promised to fix. The installer said someone would call me to schedule an appt. to complete the job. No one called so I called a couple of weeks later and talked with an office assistant who told me that a service manager would call me. A couple of weeks later I realized no one had called so called again and talked with an office assistant who told me the same. Few weeks later realized I still had not received a call so called again. Finally I did get a call from a service manager who promised to come out and finish the job. He did not show up for the appointment. Called back and left a message on a recorder but did not get a return call. I went through the whole winter with putty on my walls and finally in the early spring I got tired of looking at the unfinished windows so decided to have my living room painted since I could not get the window company to complete the job. After having the room painted, I cleaned the windows and after cleaning I couldn't get the windows aligned correctly so they would lock. I knew it was probably something I was doing wrong but couldn't figure out how to get them to lock. So had to call the company again. They tried to explain over the phone but I still couldn't get them locked. The office assistant told me she would have someone come out but no one ever called me or came out. Last weekend, almost a year later, I was at the Blue Springs Fall Festival and saw C. Michael Exteriors booth. I talked to a nice lady in the booth who said she would have someone call me first thing Monday morning to schedule someone to come out. Monday came and went and no call. So on Tuesday afternoon I called and was told they would send somone out at 6 p.m. that evening. When the man arrived he was pleasant enough at first. He showed me what I needed to do and it was something pretty simple. I told him I was ready to buy 2 more windows for my bedroom this year but was hesitant about doing business with them again because of their non-responsiveness. I went through the whole story with him about how they never completed the job and I finally fixed it myself. He said he couldn't understand how that could have happened the way I described it because they always have good response time and rarely get complaints and if they do the jump right on it. I said well evidently the messages didn't get to you, they must have been relayed to someone not near as efficient as you and he continued to say that it couldn't have happened the way I described. I said, "What are you trying to say to me? Are you saying I'm lying about my service issues? ANd he continued to tell me what great service he gives. I told him, "You've convinced me of one thing for sure, I will not purchase another window from you!" He said, "This locking issue was not our fault, that was an issue you created". I told him to get out of my house. He started to argue and I raised my voice and said I want you to leave NOW! He left muttering expletives all the way back to his car. After I saw that he was gone, I turned to find my granddaughter hiding behind a chair.

Member approached our representative at our booth at Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival on the weekend of September 15th. She stated that she had purchased windows from our company last fall and was experiencing a problem with getting them locked after having cleaned them. Our representative told Member that someone would be in touch with her on Monday September 17th. Unfortunately it was Tuesday September 18th before we contacted her about the problem. Our tech tried to instruct Member how to remedy the problem but failing that he made an appointment to go to Member house to demonstrate how to close and lock the window properly. On his arrival he demonstrated the proper operation of the window, but Member told him that she had complained after her windows were installed about some touch –up that was left undone. (Member had had her room repainted in the meantime which made the touch-up unnecessary.) Our tech told Member that he was sorry to hear that, but that he had consulted her file prior to coming to her home and had found no record of her calls. Member then began berating the technician about the lack of service and when the tech attempted to explain to her that his presence there was a “courtesy call”..that is, an indication of our willingness to perform service for our customers (there was nothing wrong with her windows), she told him to “Get……Out”. Member seemed intent on interpreting the tech’s statements to imply that she was lying. I called Member the next day to apologize for the misunderstanding.
