He had showed up to do a job the week before that was not scheduled after a storm for limb removal. He cleaned up the job well. He would only work on a CASH BASIS. This time he came to do the job as requested on time and in the rain. He was not prepared for the job, however. He did not the proper ladders and material on his truck. He needed to borrow mine. He was very concerned and curious about my golf clubs that were in my garage. I asked him this time if he would take a check for his services as this was going to cost more than the job from last week. He reluctantly took my check, but did not offer to or give or want to give a receipt for his services upon completion. I am in the middle of a move so am in a hurry about getting the jobs completed, however he is either in business or not. You show up with the tools necessary to do most basic jobs and money is business. Most business will give a receipt for services rendered.
