Solid Surface Designs

VERY good installation team. They took the time to install everything like it was their house not mine. Most importantly, the wife is delighted! They are the team used by Home Depot.

This project began with a leaky water shut off below ourkitchen sink that turned in to a warped and ruined floor. To replace the floor my husband had to remove our ceramic tile countertops. This gave us the opportunity to purchase the granite countertop we had wanted for years. We had a number of local granite shops give us an estimate. Solid Surface Designs bid won hands down. I had been warned by friends to watch out for hidden charges that wouldn't show up in the estimate. SSD guaranteed that their price would not change unless we made changes or additions to our design or if they discovered that the square footage increased after the template was made. After the template was made the price was the same as the estimate. We got the chance to personally approve the slabs that were used to create the countertops. Within a four weeks we had out new countertops. They look great. We couldn't be happier.

Solid Surface Designs was subcontracted by Home Depot to perform this work. I was initially pleased with all preliminary aspects of the job, particularly the professionalism of their sales and planning staff. The installers were also polite, prompt, and responsive. However, there was an imperfection that the installers were not able to correct. Keith, the follow up agent, called two days later. He agreed that the installation was unacceptable and should be corrected. He promised that the installation manager would soon be contact us to arrange correction, but nothing ever happened. Since we needed the kitchen, we decided not to pursue it.
