chimney caps, chimney repair
 + 0 moreI called to get my unused chimney sealed up. Even with the flue closed, there was a slight draft on windy days which I didn't mind as much.. It was the wasps living in the chimney (and coming into the house...) that finally convinced me to seal it off at the top. They arrived in just a couple days, the entire operation took around 20 minutes and my chimney has been sealed off.

 + -1 moreI called & set up an appointment to have my fireplace/chimney inspected as I had some leaking. Daniel checked everything on 7/20 and a time was set on 8/2 to replace my two flue caps and put new crown coat, seal shoulders and flashing and seal one flue off. Great job and I have no leaking after two downpours. Thanks so much Daniel and Clutter Chimney.

 + 1 moreEvery time we have worked with them they have been incredibly professional and helpful. I have talked with Bob multiple times on the phone and he's always very quick to respond and has offered council a few times free of charge. When they came out recently to clean our chimney they went above and beyond to work on the gas line as well to fix an issue we were having with it. They're one of the best companies that I have ever worked with.
Description of Work: I have worked with Clutter on 3 different occasions. First, they came out to provide an inspection of a chimney when I was purchasing a home. Second, they replaced the crown on top of our chimney as the old one was completely worn out. Finally, they cleaned and serviced our chimney just recently.

Description of Work: Clutter's price gouged their service. They charged $300 to apply Crown Seal / Crown Coat sealant (I can't recall which) to the crown of the chimney where a crack had developed. It took them less than 10 minutes to arrive, pull out the ladder and climb, paint it on, and leave. Before they left, they gave me a brochure for the Crown brand sealant they used, and the warranty is good for anyone who applies it - it doesn't have to be applied by a chimney company. If you google Crown Coat, you can buy an entire container of it for less than $150.

Received a quote from another company that was several thousand dollars more for less work and they missed some very obvious problems that Bob noticed immediately.

 + -1 moreI called the company and they said they would be out the next day. They came and cleaned and left in a very timely manner. They also inspected the chimney for us and were very friendly. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family in the future.
Description of Work: I asked them to clean the chimney and as we have a insert which requires some extra effort they jumped into the job no problem. I was very pleased with the speed and cleanliness of the men. I would use them again.

 + -1 moreMr Clutter was here promtly to clean our chimney. We asked him to add a cap over a fake chimney. He also examined the chimney and told us the cap was starting to crumble, so we had him seal it with an epoxy that he guarantees for 20 years. Overall, we had our chimney cleaned and sealed so it should not be the source of any leaks any time in the near future.

He gave me the inspection report and eased my mind about the safety of our fireplace and chimney. I would recommend them. This is the "off season", so there was no waiting. In the fall, they are very busy, so January worked out well for us.
