The weather wasn't cooperative but Mark got to the job as soon as possible. He and his crew ripped out our old concrete walkway and replaced it with a new one. When Mark came to review the job, he wasn't pleased with the way it was sealed so he had it resealed. We hadn't even complained.

The experience was great. Other than rain, everything went exactly as one would hope. Hoffman kept me apprised of when they would get to my job and what to expect. They arrived when they said they would and got right to work. I was surprised at how many workers were in the crew, but due to the difficulty level of this type of work, I appreciate the work that the whole crew did. They answered all of my questions and cleaned the job site well. I am so pleased to say that in summary, I have all positive things to say. Would I hire Hoffman Concrete again? Yes! My neighbor saw my driveway going in, immediately contacted Hoffman Concrete, and was able to get his driveway replaced at the same time as mine. I think this is a great recommendation in action!

I called Hoffman on two different days. I left a detailed, polite message explaining what I wanted done and requesting a call back to schedule a date for a bid. I repeated my name and phone number on each massage. I never received a call back. I have waited three business days. To Hoffman Concrete: Please do not call me after reading this, I plan on using a different company. I have a bid in hand. That company actually answered the phone when I called....

Very professional crew salesforce and management. Very responsive to our needs. Always wanted to make certain we were happy with their work. The whole crew was a Joy to work with and courteous to us at all times.

This is a GREAT company for getting any concrete work done. Mark, Jack and John are very professional and easy to work with. The patio turned out to be better than we had thought. Mark and his team worked well with our tenants. Mark called me and the tenants to keep us informed on days his team would be coming by to do the work and what he needed from them. Mark's team did a good job, were nice to work with, took pride in their work, made sure to clean up and back filled all of the areas once they were done. When it came time to seal the drive way, Mark graciously sealed our walk way to the front door for free so that it could match the driveway. Thanks for doing the job like it was your own property.

We contracted with Hoffman just before cold weather arrived last November. Mr. Hoffman was very up-front about the possibility that the work would not be completed until spring, since concrete should not be poured when freezing weather is imminent. We appreciated his honesty and integrity about that. As he predicted, we had to wait until spring, and once again, his integrity showed: We had a date set for the work to begin, but the weather forecast was for several rainy days - no rain on wet concrete. Although we had to wait for the driveway, we felt confident that Mr. Hoffman had our best interests - and his workmanship - as the priority, not getting a job done whatever the elements. We wanted our driveway widened by about 18 inches on one side, and this was complicated by the fact that we have a plastic drainage pipe running the length of the driveway in that area. Mr. Hoffman worked with our landscaper to see that the pipe was buried under the concrete. Before contracting with Hoffman Concrete, we received several other bids. Mr. Hoffman was very knowledgeable about St. Louis County codes - he was the only contractor who mentioned that the concrete between the sidewalk and the street curb needed to be six inches deep rather than four. We had also mentioned to Mr. Hoffman that we would be replacing the mailbox next to the driveway and would like to use some concrete to set the post, while he and his workers were pouring the driveway. We figured that after the workers were finished removing the old driveway, we'd be outside taking a sledge hammer to the old wooden mailbox. Instead, the bobcat driver gently eased the bobcat bucket into the box and took it out one timber at a time, saving us much time and effort. Above and beyond what we expected! Then when the driveway had been poured, my husband picked up his shovel to shovel some concrete into the new mailbox post hole...and the Hoffman worker took the shovel from him and shoveled the concrete himself! They also prepared a special small smooth area of the driveway so our granddaughter could leave her handprint! Again, above and beyond! Mr. Hoffman and his crew worked efficiently and cleaned up well - no concrete residue left in the street. They returned in a timely manner to remove the forms, backfill the edges, powerwash and seal the driveway. The workers were friendly and courteous. We are pleased with Hoffman Concrete!

They arrived exactly on time and began work immediately. During the process they kept me informed as to any problems and decisions that were necessary to complete the work. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the results. My new driveway is beautiful and really increases the aesthetic value of my home. The border is especially appealing. After the work was completed I found a small problem that needed correcting. They were very responsive and came out to correct it immediately.

They started on our patio immediately upon our request and even fit us in to make sure they finished in the time frame we wanted. The job was done quickly and to perfection! The job was done neatly and after clean up you couldn't even tell they were here. Everyone was professional, friendly, and accommodating. We would definitely recommend Hoffman Concrete!

Purchased service through the Big Deal offer on A-List. Hoffman was in contact within about an hour to schedule measurements. They estimated about 6 weeks to get started, which was fine with me (I'd been looking at that foundation for almost 20 years), but 4 weeks later the job is done (sealing to be done in a couple days, weather permitting). Everything went without a hitch, the new parking area looks great, and I'm very happy with Hoffman Concrete.

The bid was for work that was as a result of a home inspection. The inspection report said that concrete steps with no hand railing was unsafe. The concrete steps were 4ft wide, not the full length of the sliding doors. When building the steps, Hoffman's men told me that they were told to build 4ft steps with one hand railing. That did not make any sense to me. How can you put composite steps that don't cover the entire length of the sliding doors and just one hand railing??? Really? The additional length was going to cost extra. When I contacted mark he said te extra cost was for the longer steps. That's not what his builder said. The whole thing was confusing and the bid was inaccurate to begin with. We were charged more than the bid for work that should have been in the bid from the start. This work was part of our closing deal and paid for by the seller. But I had to pay the additional cost for no fault of mine. Professionalism needs to be maintained from beginning to end,

Was contacted by Hoffman Concrete they were available. The job workmanship appears to be professionally done. Handled in a timely manner, workmen were courteous and kept me informed of progress, cleanup was excellent, and street obstructions kept to a minimum. For your information: I had explained before job was started that my lawn sprinklers had not been moved back 1 1/2 feet as originally discussed so would they adjust price accordingly for this 1 1/2 feet of concrete not being poured for the entire length of driveway and was assured no problem. Upon completion of job, no adjustment made. I reminded them of same and was allowed a $100 adjustment on the original price of $2800. Get your adjustment price in writing before the job starts. Otherwise, I thought workman did a great job.

Went very well. We chose Hoffman because they had good Angie List references and they were significantly less expensive than three other bids. My only two complaints were: 1) it took a long time for them to work through their backlog (their backlog was probably an indication of their aggressive pricing) to get our job done, and 2) they assured me that the concrete would get poured by a particular Saturday, because we had a lot of guests coming to our house on the following Monday -- it didn't get done on that Saturday because of the weather, and the guests had to walk on boards laid over the dugout driveway. Other than for those things, they were very professional and friendly. They wanted to do anything and everything to make it just like we desired. They did an excellent job on the driveway, walk-way, and drain. The estimator was good, the owner communicated well with us. Recommended. Get a bid from them -- you may be surprised by the price.

The waiting list was longer than we have preferred, however, they kept us informed and showed up when they said they would. The quality and professionalism was well worth the wait! No wonder their calendar is so full. Project was on time with no delays. Cleaned up ever bit and left us with a beautiful job. We would use them again and will recommend them to all our friends Update: We had a section of concrete that cracked, although I was concerned with his original response, Mark did come out to take a look and replaced the slab rather quickly. Mark stood by his work and resolved our issue. He demonstrated a strong work ethic and pride in his business.

We had the sealing between the house and the back patio breakdown and split it created a channel and ran out the far end of the house. the water then got in to the foundation and knocked off a few big chunks of the foundation. they pulled out everything cleaned out all the debris and built it all back in. it looks great. they then cleaned out all the seems along the retaining wall that was next to the foundation damage and resealed it after repairing the crack there. they then cleaned out all the old sealer along the house and patio. they then applied new sealer along the whole length of the house and the finish is outstanding. They smoothed out everything and it looks a thousand time better than before. The team explained everything. showed us about every product they would use and how they were repairing everything. We didn't expect them to be able to complete our job for some but if they finished a job or couldn't complete the work somewhere else due to ice or weather they came and worked here. Completely professional and we will use them in the spring to repair some issues on our drive way.

I was very impressed with the whole process. They were very responsive to my requests, they worked with us to schedule the job around some previous engagements we had. The work was excellent, they were very professional and very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Hoffman started work approximately when they said they would. They worked fairly quickly, so our driveway was out for less time. The driveway looks great, I saw them doing the finishing and they seemed to be doing a nice job. Overall, I would use them again for a concrete project.

I gave up on trying to get a response from them.
