From the estimator through the end of the job, Hoffman was extremely professional and responsive. The price was better than that received in two other quotes, and the job looks great.

After calling for an estimate, the estimator was out that same afternoon. I received a proposal throughly explaining the work to be done within a few days. Several other companies that estimated never sent a proposal! The existing driveway was removed and rock was laid, but then had to wait a week to pour the new driveway because of rain. They would not pour with even a threat of rain in the forecast which was great. Also, after the rock was laid, the crew laid plastic over the entire driveway and rock to keep it from getting wet. On the days that it rained the crew came out each day to remove the water that had accumulated over the plastic. When the rain let up, the crew laid the concrete as advertised in their proposal. Their workmanship was very good and very professional. Also, we had frequent communication with owner, Mark who called to inform us of status during the entire process. I would definitely use this company again!

The workers for Hoffman Concrete showed up on time and were very professional. While removing the asphalt layer, Jack, the foreman discovered a cable that Charter was supposed to have buried, but obviously did not. Jack quickly stopped work and explained what needed to be done. I had a horrendous time dealing with Charter, but Jack and Mark, the company owner, did everything possible to help me get the issue resolved. Between the Charter issue and rain, they had to reschedule me several times. They were great about getting back to me with updates and scheduling me as quickly as possible. The finished driveway looks great. I have had several neighbors comment on how nice it looks and have already referred someone to them. This company truly cares about delivering a quality product. I highly recommend Hoffman Concrete.

Hoffman does some pretty great work. Foreman showed up at 7am for our project on the first 2 or 3 days. Days after required a little less early start times. I was a bit surprised when the foreman showed up and wasn't sure what driveway was being put in. The quote I had was the same as what the foreman had. Words with no pictures. The driveway result is great quality work. Very reasonable price. Total time from start of project to end was 10 total days, but only about 5 days of actual work.

Hoffman Concrete LLC was professional, on time, good planning, execution, great team, quality work and were able to start the work earlier than original date that they promised.

Everything went very well. No problems or delays whatsoever. Price was the best I found. I have 15 years experience with concrete, and will rehire Hoffman again.

Hoffman followed the builder of new detached garage I had built. They paved the large parking area in front of the garage, and tore up and replaced the existing driveway, which is on a fairly steep hill. Hoffman Concrete LLC provided the most for the money, by several thousand dollars. They were on time (weather permitting) and were able to meet my somewhat unique requirements (relating to drainage) without missing a step. I'm very pleased with the concrete work--the size, shape and finish--it complements the new garage and looks great. I would highly recommend Hoffman Concrete to anyone.

Hoffman Concrete came out to discuss what I wanted, explained that it would take two days, first day to excavate, prep, frame the area, second day to pour and finish. Several days later someone came out to take framework away. Everyone was very polite and friendly. I watched, asked some questions, felt comfortable with everything. I would use them again and refer to others. Very pleased!

Our stamped concrete project consisted of 3 pours with one of the pours that had an additional half-circle jutting out for a sitting area with a fire pit. They included a step down into the area under the deck that made a perfect separator and made it more like it?s own living space (Hoffman?s creative suggestion). His team was always professional and courteous even when it was miserably hot and humid. They never seemed to tire and were always hustling to get their job done. They also kept the worksite clean and picked up. They put drainpipes under the patio that added a really nice touch where the downspouts would?ve ran water across the patio?now they?re buried, looking very tidy and professional. They had issues with the largest pour and the half circle. Mark Hoffman saw it and immediately promised to tear it out and make it right. Which he did as quickly as possible, weather permitting. Not only once but twice! St. Louis and the rainiest months in years made it very unpredictable for pouring and stamping concrete. Now, the whole patio is stamped and looking great. In other words, Mark will not stop until the job is done and you are completely satisfied! We?re confident, as they finish up power washing and sealing, that this patio addition will be awesome and enjoyed for years to come. We?ll be posting some finished pictures soon. I was very impressed and pleased with Hoffman's work. They have had a tough year with all the rain and jobs have been a bit delayed but the workmanship and finished look of the project was well worth the wait. From the very start until completion we were completely satisfied with Hoffman Concrete. We found Hoffman Concrete on Angie?s List and based on positive feedback choose to call for a bid to build a patio in our back yard. The very next day, John the Estimator came. John answered all our questions and gave us a very reasonable bid for the job. After thinking it over and getting other bids, we decided to use Hoffman Concrete. Along the way we had a few more questions and wanted to add a fire pit. I emailed Mark, the owner, and within a few hours I had my answers and the fire pit was added to the order. Unfortunately, the weather did hold back the start of the project, but Mark kept us informed of what was going on and when the project was to begin. When the work did begin we were very impressed. The men arrived on time and worked very hard the whole day. They were also nice, courteous, knowledgeable, and very efficient. The patio itself is beautiful. We are very pleased with the construction and shape. The fire pit looks fantastic and we cannot wait to use it. Hoffman Concrete was defiantly the right choice for us and we already have them giving us a bid on future work.

We invited 3 companies to come and give bids. Hoffman Concrete, LLC was the middle bid. The estimator had good ideas and explained the entire process. They were prompt with the estimate and were frank about the timing. Communication was excellent. With all the rain, delays were possible but we were kept up to date and were pleased to have our driveway started a little earlier than expected. Hoffman Concrete efficiently handled the permits. We did ask for a change to the style of concrete finish after the work was started. As it required more time on the job, we negotiated an additional fee and feel it was well worth the difference. We can't say enough good things about the crew who poured and finished the concrete. They worked very hard in extreme heat. They obviously take great pride in their work as seen in their work ethic and finished job. The team was polite and left the site clean every day. All parts of the job have been completed to our satisfaction. We are extremely pleased with our new driveway and front walk and can confidently recommend Hoffman Concrete, LLC.

Mark is on top of the job the whole way. He communicates with you and lets you know what the workers will be doing next. The whole crew is very professional, well mannered and friendly. They did a great job pouring the new driveway and sidewalk and would recommend them to anyone who wants to avoid the hassle of dealing with unreliable people and would like beautiful concrete work.

I have had work done by Hoffman Concrete in the past. So when I knew we had to pour a new sidewalk it was a no-brainer on who I would have do the work. He was always in contact with me throughout the timeline of the project. His crew and foreman were always helpful with any questions we had. With the extensive rain we had over several weeks he was able to get the project finished quickly after we dragged our feet for a long while to have it done. He went above and beyond & will always call Mark for any future projects!

So, Our initial goal was to build a basketball pad alongside our driveway. After looking at Angie's List, we contacted Hoffman Concrete and 3 other companies. We got bids from everyone. In the end, I felt the most confident that I would receive the best work from Hoffman Concrete. John is a great representative for the company and stood true to his word. He has a great working relationship with Mark, the owner, and they did our job quite well and remarkably quickly, in spite of the rain! Mark and his team worked tirelessly on a Saturday and tore out and framed our driveway. They also tore out part of our yard and created the basketball pad that we were looking for and did this while we were out of town. John and I had discussed our vision and we felt he was fairly clear on our expectations/desires for this pad. What we had not discussed was our travel schedule. They were available to pour on a day that we were again out of town (as they were stuck in a rain delay after the tear out). We decided they had enough information and details and to again go ahead with the job! Due to Johns communications with Mark and Mark's attention to detail, Mark and his crew were able to meet and exceed our expectations! We came home to a great basketball pad and driveway! Mark and his team did an excellent job. Our driveway sloped in two different directions. What we really wanted was a flat enough driveway and basketball pad that we could actually utilize it safely without having to chase too many balls to the bottom of our hill. It was all done PERFECTLY and the pad is flat! We have had 4 neighbors ask about the driveway, 3 took Hoffman's information and 1 has already booked them for a fall installation of a new driveway. I would use them again in a heartbeat! I really liked John's professionalism and we communicated via phone, texting and email when necessary. John and Mark were responsive. Worth the money to know we were going to receive quality work. We like to support small business. Mark is a small business owner and proud of his company. He appears to have an excellent work ethic and stands behind his work. When it comes time to re-seal, we will be calling Hoffman Concrete. So thankful for all of the previous reviews of Hoffman Concrete, it made our decision easier.

Hoffman Concrete management and staff acted in a professional manner throughout the process. When we initially contacted Hoffman Concrete management responded within the next day and were out to bid the project shortly after that. The bid was very fair and was relayed to us via email. Any questions about the bid were answered quickly and effectively. The Saint Louis area had an extremely wet spring and summer in 2015. However, Hoffman Concrete always answered any questions concerning any delays caused by the rain within the same day (the delay was a couple of weeks-very reasonable concerning the raining weather we were having). Once the project was started it was completed in a very timely manner. Hoffman Concrete's staff was very professional and worked hard. Questions to both the staff and management during the process were answered quickly and concisely. I noted that the staff were able to answer any questions and not get sidetracked. I was thrilled that once Hoffman Concrete completed the job and received final payment they were still willing to answer any questions and even come back for a little clean-up work.

John came out to the property right before the Memorial Day weekend and got all of the info. He was very patient with all of my questions as this was the first concrete work I was having done, and had plenty of questions for him. He and his team turned around very quickly over the holiday weekend to get me a bid for the work, including a revision to the work that I asked for after they provided the initial bid. I ended up sending in a deposit early that week following the holiday weekend to get on their calendar. Unfortunately, outside of their or my control, the weather wasn't very cooperative, raining almost every day for a month. I was ok with that though as I wasn't in much of a rush to have the work done right away, just before the fall/winter came in. Mark gave me a call around 7/8 or so and we lined up the scheduling for them to come out that Friday. Mark showed up with a small crew of guys that got right to work early that Friday morning 7/10 and set to it at a pretty impressively fast pace. By midday, I believe they had all of the tear out and haul away work done. They also got the porch/steps poured, and the cut away/rebar/garage floor work done/poured. They had some bad luck though in the early afternoon with one of their trucks and had to stop there for the day. They were back bright and early on Saturday, and in just a few short hours, had the rest of pour/finishing work complete in no time After that Saturday the 11th, they came in and took care of the back fill of dirt up to/against the edges of the concrete work during the week, and by 7/17, 1 week after they started, they finished with the new hand railing install after the concrete was dry enough to do that work. Lastly, on 7/19, they finished up with the power wash and sealing coat. So overall, just over a week for all of the work I realize the price may seem a little on the high side to some, based on some of the reviews I had seen ahead of time. However, my take on it is that they were well worth what I paid. Mark and his team deliver a high quality to the work that they do. They come in and get the job done very quickly and try their best to minimize any disruptions. I felt confident and comfortable giving Mark and his team room to do their thing without needing to constantly check up on them, although I'll admit I would poke my head out periodically just to watch their team work. They're very good at what they do and it was impressive to watch them work

Gave me an estimate. Was the most professional of the 4 estimates I got. He carefully measured everything and provided a detailed estimate with several options. Note: Quality rating is quality of the estimate. I'm not going to do the work right now.

I found Hoffman Concrete to be an excellent choice in contractors. All services went as planned. Communications between Hoffman were great,, site work and workmanship top notch. I would highly recommend Hoffman Concrete.

Prompt callback and estimate. Did not meet the contractor in person, but only spoke over the phone. Was surprised the bid was so high for the amount of work of interest. Suspect I am paying a premium for a small job. Elected not to pursue the work at this time.

All the people at Hoffman Concrete were good to work with and I would use them again. From what I could tell the price was in line with others and it was in the range I was expecting but I was looking for quality and reputation not low cost and they did not disappoint. When they started the job It took two days to get the site ready for concrete and they cleaned the site at the end of each day so it always looked professional. They even asked my permission to park their skid loader in my yard a few days before they started so there were no surprises. The only negative was their communication. They are a small company and this work is obviously weather dependent. To make matters worse, the work was done in June which has now been called the rainiest June ever. When I signed the contract we were talking 4 to 6 weeks out. They didn't keep me informed as to where I was in the schedule as the job got delayed unless I asked. However, when I did ask they were always quick to reply with the new range. It ended up at about 10 weeks. I said above that I would use them again. just set your expectations for schedule updates up front and be patient. It's worth the wait.

Hoffmann never called me back...3 months ago I called them for an earlier bid and they never called me back then either...very nonresponsive
