Mark Hoffman was the only one to respond to several messages left with various concrete companies. When I would finally get in touch with some of the companies they were just too busy for a small job. I told Mark my timeline and he made it happen. The workers were always on time and cleaned up the work area. Did I pay a little more for the rush service? Yes, but it was worth it just to have someone, anyone call me back. I also had a 10% off coupon as an Angie's List Member. Mark even sent me pictures of the completed job so I could stop worrying about getting the house ready for an open house on the day we planned.

We have scheduled the work, but it is not complete yet. Great support so far, though.

Hoffman concrete was very professional in handling the replacement of our garage floor slab and associated three driveway slabs from quoting through completion. We felt that their pricing was very competitive. The only downfall was the wet summer that caused a delay in scheduling the job, but they did start the job as scheduled. A driveway slab that we did not intend on replacing was cracked during the job, but Hoffman replaced the cracked slab with no additional charge. Overall we were very pleased by their work.

It went great. All the work was done in two days.. The guys were pleasant and hard workers. Cleaned up their mess.. I will diffently recomend Mark Hoffman.

Mark and his team were "top notch" from start too finish. My project was delayed due to the horrible weather we had all summer. They did there best to get to me asap. They are very knowledgeable on all ends of concrete project. From suggesting more support for an area I may put a hot tub, to recommending how to tie in a cedar retaining wall that i added after the project was over. Mark or his GC (Jack) was present throughout the whole operations to make sure everything was done to the highest quality. I am going to use again in the near future to do my front aggregate side walk after viewing the great job he did at my neighbors house.

Disappointing to start. Due to excessive rain, job was delayed. Provided Hoffman the "drop-dead" date to install the patio (family birthday party was scheduled) and Mark's team stepped up and made it happen. The patio and walkway look amazing. They do great work! Highly recommend Hoffman Concrete.

There were understandable delays because of all the rain we had earlier this summer. Mark Hoffman, the owner, kept us posted throughout. When weather opening came they were prompt, efficient, and very informative through the whole project. The work turned out beautifully and a neighbor complimented it as well. Mark and his people were professional, courteous, and communicative. They advised us well on various alternatives and pros and cons. I had researched providers in detail - Hoffman looked the best and it turned out that way for us. I would recommend Hoffman Concrete without hesitation.

It went well after the work was started. I would suggest getting in as early as possible as they were behind due to the summer weather. We started the process in May and our patio just received the final seal today. The work was great and Mark fixed the small imperfections immediately upon my discovery of them. The employees were incredibly professional and polite. Very pleased with the final product and cant wait to get to using it!

During the job, I thought things were going okay. Everyone showed up in the morning and worked a full day. After the job was done, I was looking down my driveway, and noticed the driveway was about 2 feet in from my fence line. I had paid for and had a contract for and 11 foot wide driveway. The fence line was 11 foot. I emailed the sales rep and said why is the driveway only 9 feet wide, not 11, per my contract? He wrote back and said because of property line. I then emailed him my property line paperwork, which showed otherwise, which I showed to his foreman too. Then the owner, who I never met, emailed me and said I verbally agreed to a narrower driveway. Which was not true. Then I never heard back, after several non response emails I put a review on Yelp and Facebook. Then after I did that, he said he would put the little red bricks up the side to keep my car from falling off the driveway next to the house. These bricks where not put in right and now are sunk down in the dirt, not level with the driveway. I emailed him but he just ignored me, I asked him to pour a 2 foot section up along the side of it, as I paid for. That was ignored. They recently came back out to reseal when I emailed him about cracks showing up in the back, tiny hair line cracks, His worker took pictures but didn't say anything, nor did the owner let me know if they were a problem. They tried to seal it in over 100 degree weather, they did not clean it properly so they sealed over the dirty driveway, not to mention there's no way that sealer will spray through a nozzle that hot, you can see when its wet that its not right. It looks horrible. i did email the owner before the guy started sealing it and told him it was dirty. His answer to that was that they were busy and he told his worker to do the best he can then leave. That was 1000 dollars I paid. See photo. Dont know if my driveway is even sealed from the looks of it. They were 8 or 9 thousand more than GP concrete, I let them match there bid since they were local and wanted to support a local company. If they would adhere to the size and communicate, they would of gotten a higher rating.

Mark Hoffman was very prompt on answering my call and giving me an estimate on pouring and finishing a new patio and driveway extension at our house in Fenton MO. Called him in the morning, he stopped by in the afternoon and I had my quote that evening! They were able to pour within 5 working days. His crew showed up bright and early and had the job done around 3 in the afternoon. They were very professional and kept a very clean job site. The concrete work looks great, all of my neighbors have stopped by and said it looks awesome! I will be using Hoffman in the future to replace my existing driveway. Thanks for the great work!

Mark and his crew were very professional on time and completed the work in 3 days. We are very pleased with the finished work and have received many compliments on the job.

Despite the temperatures of being 100 the job went great. The concrete looks very nice and smooth with no pits in it.

Mark Hoffman and his crew were amazing. They did an awesome job and the custom-colored, stamped patio looks amazing. We live in STL county and the STL County inspector commented how well the work was done. Even our pavilion construction company commented how well the work was completed - the piers were perfectly aligned and level. In today's world, it's remarkable that other trades complimented another company on their work and expertise!! Mark stayed in contact with us throughout the project and wanted to make absolutely sure we were happy with their work and the finished stamped- concrete look. If you live in the STL area and you need concrete work (either structural or decorative) - Hoffman is a must.. They were also very competitive with their pricing!!!

It went well. I took awhile to get it scheduled due to tree work needed ahead of time and scheduling challenges, but Hoffman Concrete puts out a quality product. My wife and I love it. Several compliments from neighbors and friends too.

You can't make this stuff up. I did everything wrong with the first contractor and Mark Hoffman made sure I did everything right with his company. Our house was built in 1977. Earlier in the summer of 2016 we noticed that there were new cracks in the floor of the garage and that the pad was actually sinking - you could tell by the way the floor hit the foundation - something was not good. I interviewed 5 concrete contractors - some big names and some I found through calling around. The bids ranged from $7500 to almost $12,000 - all of which came with a written statement of work to be signed by both parties prior to starting the work. Of the 5, two bids hovered around the $7500 range so I thought that should be a fair price. Hoffman Concrete was one of those two lower bids and I was ready to give them the work when we talked with a cousin of mine who is in the construction/remodeling business. He recommended we use a contractor with whom he has used/worked with on 6 or 7 jobs and that this person was really good. My cousin got in touch with the individual who gave a bid of $5600 - nearly $2k lower than what we were going to pay Hoffman Concrete. Mistake number 1 on my part. I never talked with this contractor personally. I took my cousins recommendation and went with it. The guy just kept putting us off - not showing up when he said he would, etc. etc. Mistake number 2 - half of the price was to be paid when he did start so when that happened I wrote a check. After they tore out the garage floor he said that he lost the check and when they came back the next time he asked for cash and that he would pay the stop payment fee on the check I had written. Don't pay cash. The next day was to be the pour. Contractor shows up early afternoon, gets two others to help him - they get in a tiff and he fires them, told them to leave. Concrete truck shows up around 4 o'clock. Contractor and truck driver get into a argument about the mix, words exchanged, driver calls the representative of the company. Now we wait some more until she arrives. In the meantime, the truck backed up into my driveway without me or anyone else signing off on that action (Mistake 3). Don't allow the concrete truck on your property. Some young folk next door came home from work, the contractor hires one of them on the spot to help out and they begin the pour. Mistake 4 - two people cannot do a job that big - takes several more. Needless to say, the concrete got away from them and they could not finish it. The contractor would not pay the concrete company for the mix. Mistake 5 - get a lien waiver. The representative from the concrete company called the local police. Police show up to try and straighten things out. They end up running the contractors name and found outstanding warrants for him. They arrest him on the spot and take him to jail. So now I am sitting there with a completely botched job that has to be torn out and started over. We wait a few days to see if the contractor was going to show back up or just what the deal was going to be. He never showed. I gotta do something - I have half the tear out sitting on the street in front of my house, garage floor a disaster and most probably a lien on my house. I take a few pictures, email them to Mark Hoffman explaining what I just wrote above and he answers back that this is just awful and he would try to get out to my house the next day. (All of this after I did not hire him originally.) Mark gets to my house the next morning we talk and he said he would honor the original bid, have to charge me extra to take away the tear out in the street. I agree, we sign the work agreement, write him a check for 1/3 and his crew were at my house at 1 pm that day and cleaned up the street. Within the next couple of days they get a weather delay on a pour they had scheduled so they came to my house and tore out the floor. They prepped for the pour. They came back on Saturday and poured the floor. Within about 10 days, Hoffman Concrete had me whole again. They are very professional in their work and, I very much appreciated, really empathetic for what had happened. Mark could have just told me to hit the road but instead he made sure I was going to be happy with his crew and work. I highly recommend Hoffman Concrete LLC for, in this instance, I think they went way above and beyond what I deserved. Once again, I did everything wrong with the first contractor and Mark made sure I did everything right with his company.

Mark, Jack and team are amazing. Very professional and masters at their trade!! The patio turned out better than expected!! I would highly recommend them anyone needing flatwork done.

The crew arrived on site at the time agreed to and worked our job into there schedule on a short notice! Thanks!! They were efficient and brought the right team to pour quickly and efficiently. Absolutely no issues or problems. Flawless. Love the finish and we were setting up our patio furniture a day later.

Responsive was great even typed a letter that included the foremans phone number in cas of any issue. This letter was given to homeowners so they would be aware of the work being performed. Hoffman was very easy to work with and professional every step of the way. I will use them in the future and will surely recommend them in the future

Exceptionally understanding of my situation even though he was very busy. Made time for my repair before any more rain fell and soaked the wooden studs next to the wall. I contacted Mark, told him what was going on and the attempted repair by another less reputable company. I knew he was very busy but within the week found time to fit me in so I could finish a wall that was going up in front of the leak. Seth, his repairman, called me and got on the repair quickly the same day. Wall looks great and is how it should have been done the first time. Mark stayed in contact with me the whole time and even texted me after to make sure the repair was right. Great guys , clean job and I will absolutely refer and use him again.

I needed a new driveway and sidewalks at my house, so I got 3 bids. My theory on bids is I don't necessarily take the cheapest bid, I take the bid that makes sense to me. Hoffman's bid was in the middle and very detailed on the bid proposal, so I picked Hoffman. Hoffman Construction showed up on time 7/13/16 at 7am. They removed and hauled off all of the old sidewalks, driveway, and porch. The next day they were to come back and set up the forms and to lay rock for the base, but, it rained (a lot), so they had to wait until Friday and Saturday to complete that process. On the following Monday they showed up at 7am to prep for the pour of my new driveway, porch and sidewalks. The concrete company showed up on time to do the first part and then showed up again to do the second half of the project. Mark Hoffmann had a crew of 5 workers and they all were very personable and professional. If you asked a question about the job, they gave you a direct and honest answer. Everyone had a great personality and took their job seriously. They showed back up today to remove the forms and to do the fill in work around the driveway and sidewalks. I am very pleased with the final results and would recommend Hoffman Construction to anyone. I will be glad to show anybody my new concrete work at my house. If you need concrete work at your house or business, I recommend that you call Hoffmann, they will give you a fair price and good service.

They were prompt and kept the area clean and clutter free. The concrete looks great and the finish is awesome. The neighbors have been very complimentary on how nice it looks.
