Outside of communication errors on my part and Mark's, when we finally understood what STL County wanted, Hoffman did a great job on the project. Bad news is better than no news. I am not easy to work for and I do alot myself, but I learned from Mark and his crew, and ultimately they did a great job. They were a critical part in a 4 yrs new paver driveway project that I am doing myself and at the end of the day it all worked out.

They did a great job. They even shoveled into the street a bit which meant that when the snowplow came by, it didn't push a pile of snow back into our driveway.

Steve Boyer and his crew were fantastic. They went above and beyond to ensure the patio was completed how I wanted, plus a few small changes that needed to be done to be right that I had not considered. The extra knowledge of an experienced professional is invaluable. The crew was also terrific. Polite, friendly, and also tremendously talented. I plan on contacting Steve again for my next concrete project. Highly recommend!

Can’t say enough good things about them. They were very prompt with all communications. They arrived when they said they would. Our yard did provide challenges which they dealt with professionally and a great sense of humor. We will be using them again in spring for our driveway.

Communication was spotty, and at one time I had asked the owner 3 times to copy in my wife. I kept adding her back in the email string. Finally I told him to just contact and work through her. There were other poor communications as well. The end result of the product was good however.

We are very happy with the outcome of our new driveway etc. Looks like the best on our block.

It was seamless, called Mark up on a Wednesday, told him what I wanted done, he came out Thursday to measure it up, Mark and his crew showed up Friday and did the job, actually they did more than I expected, all while I was at work. One call and a few dollars lighter, LOL, my driveway and pourch were sealed and it looks fantastic, Thanks to all the Hoffman Crew

Job did not go as expected but Mark and his team did great job of explaining changes to order that were needed. Once job was planned out with new changes work was completed very timely. One capstone on retaining wall was damaged and no questions asked Mark had it replaced. Overall we truly enjoy our new patio.

Steve Boyer and his crew did an excellent job. They do their work with pride and craftsmanship. They exceeded my expectations. They showed up and looked professional, we’re curtious, had all the right tools / materials to perform the job, and communicated with me asking questions and made suggestions to insure I got the job I wanted done correctly. The patio looks fantastic and slopes to keep the water moving away from the house. The finish is awesome. I couldn’t have asked for more. True Quality!

Hoffman Concrete did an amazing job. They did the job quickly, and planned our project to make it last. The finished product looks better than I had envisioned, and with the extra care that took to do the job right it will last for many many years.

Everything went just fine. I had requested a specific time frame for the work to be done and they were able to fit it in my requested time. Mark and his team did a really good job. I was pleased with the outcome. I would recommend them for any concrete work that you need done.

Very well! They widened the driveway and added little "wings" at street for easier transition.also they added a custom designed sidewalk to flow with the custom built planter box. It all looks Amazing!

Throughout the project, the communication was good. Mark made sure the patio color and stamp was what we were looking for. However, about a month after the patio was poured, it started to crack due to only one control joint being placed in a large patio. I contacted Mark in Aug 2017 and was told the cracks would be taken care of. Nothing was done, so in October 2017, I asked again. Again, I was told it would be taken care of. Nothing was ever done, it became winter and I waited until May 2018 to ask Mark again if the cracks could be filled with a concrete filler/mortar. Per the contract, cracks would be filled within the first year. We were told in June 2018 that this would be taken care of and as of today, nothing has been done. I am now looking for someone to fix the cracks in a new patio and cut a control joint or fix it myself. Very frustrated and would not recommend.

crew showed up at agreee uoon time, and knocked it all out in one day. very professional and hard working individuals. all queatiins answered and suggestions provided were apreciated. definitely happy with the results.

Mark and his crew came up with much better suggestions than what we originally asked for. Instead of simply widening the concrete around the end of the pool, he put in a lovely patio area with sitting wall- making this end of the yard useful and pretty! And, remembering that we needed it to deal with water from the pool, he installed a drain in the patio to carry all the water off. He suggested low voltage lighting installed into the sitting wall, and it looks really nice at night. The work was started and completed faster than we ever expected. I put an N/A in price because we did not get a bid on this work from anyone else, though I thought the price was reasonable for the work they did.

It a great experience. Mark is a great guy and easy to deal with. The work exceeded my expectations and I planing to do driveway with him next summer too.

In the beginning, Hoffman provided a fair, albeit not outstanding, bid. It was good that they responded to our request for a proposal when other concrete companies would not. The proposal was agreed upon in December of 2017 during the winter, so work was not expected until the spring. Once the project was started, there were several weather interruptions, which slowed the project down, but were acceptable given the circumstances. We had agreed upon a stamped concrete porch and sidewalk (Majestic Ashlar Stamp, Lanon Stone base, Smoke Release) with brick borders to match the brick on our house. The initial parts of the installation were fine ... in fact, good ... and we really liked the brick accents. Hoffman's brick person did an excellent job. The first problem occurred when the front steps were originally incorrectly measured. The 2 steps were very different in height, which would have posed a problem with people miscalculating their steps. Hoffman tore the steps down and rebuilt them, so we ended up with 3 steps all about 7 inches. Problem solved. The major problem, and the reason for the D rating, is that the stamping resulted in extremely noticeable imperfections (i.e., "pockmarks") in the finished walk. Hoffman claims that these were a normal part of the stamping process and that such irregularities are always possible. However, the nature of the imperfections are extreme, far from what can be expected normally. First, they are not systematic -- they occur at two distinct portions of the walk, forming a pattern which would not happen with normal imperfections. Second, in talking to other concrete experts, they quickly and independently identified the imperfections as a result of too aggressive smoothing of the edges of the concrete before the stamping was applied. In other words, a result of the work performed, not a natural characteristic of this stamp pattern. Repeated attempts to resolve this with Hoffman have been unsuccessful. Based on this, our original rating was a D. After several months, Mr. Hoffman arrived at our home to further discuss the issue. He apologized for the worked described above and explained the circumstances that led to his not responding to us in a timely manner in 2018. He has agreed to repair the work at no additional cost to us. We were impressed with Mr. Hoffman’s conscientiousness and have agreed to him re-doing the sidewalk. Given that, we have elevated our rating to a B.

Everything went smooth. We had to juggle piering (from another company) and then the garage floor being done with Hoffman. Once the piering was complete Hoffman was on it ASAP. Work was done clean and quick.

Very quick response, great value for the service and started promptly and finished quickly. Would highly recommend the for any concrete work needed.

Professional, knowledgeable. Work went as expected. Crew was able to arrive early due to a cancellation and performed work in a timely manner. I am absolutely ecstatic with the results of the work! Driveway was sinking and ponding water. Needed to replace four panels and sidewalk. Hoffman removed the affected areas and replaced the driveway and sidewalk for proper drainage. Great work. I could not be happier.
