Ricotta Heating and Air Conditioning

The best part of Ricotta Heating & Cooling is the person who answers the phone and schedules appointments -- she's very good. The actual people who come to your house, though, are less than professional. We spent a lot of money to replace a heat pump with an air conditioner and furnace from Ricotta. Furnace was fine, but the A/C unit didn't pass Richmond Heights inspection, so we called Ricotta back again. They sent out a big fat guy who could barely walk to the unit location, who stood there wheezing and telling my husband what to do to make the unit pass inspection, otherwise he would have to charge us another $180 for the repair. CRAZY!! One would think that passing inspection would be included with installation, right? No -- after the big lazy man left, I called the nice person who answers the phone at Ricotta, and her only response was "I'm sorry to hear you're dissatisfied." No apology or offer to send out someone to assure that the unit would pass inspection the second time around. Fast forward two years -- A/C unit stops working. Not willing to deal with Ricotta again, we called another company, highly recommended, and while they are repairing the AC, we learn that the furnace is actually connected to someone else's utility line. Yes. For two years, our energy-efficient furnace has been running on the neighbor's gas bill!! No wonder it seemed so efficient! I would NEVER trust this company again. Total Rube Goldberg job on just about everything, and they do NOT stand behind their work.
