They have top notch customer service skills and do not pressure clients into making quick decisions or adding unnecessary lighting. + -1 moreThis company is very easy to work with. A few years ago we had them put in walkway lighting. They offered to come in and set it up so that we could see how it would look and then they would come back and install more or differently depending on how we felt. I actually thought I wanted more lights but they told me I didn't need it. I appreciate they tried to keep the costs down. We've called them back recently to change the motion light on the back of our house. We already had a fixture there so they just needed to put in something different (~$250). Everything I was seeing at Home Depot got poor reviews and I was sick of changing lightbulbs. Daniel responded to my emails in a timely manner and always answered the phone when I called. But also, we were a few minutes late getting to the house and he was in the front fixing the lights (repositioning b/c we'd had landscaping done) they had installed a few years ago!! I was impressed with this.

They came to our house to give an estimate, discussed what we wanted, and made several excellent suggestions which were much better than the discussion with another company (and it was significantly cheaper as well). They were very professional, obviously knew what they were talking about, gave us options, and set up a date to bring and turn on the two specific lights that we were interested in. We made our decision, they installed the lights in a timely manner, and the lights worked perfectly and we are delighted with the result. We highly recommend Outdoor Lighting Solutions.

We changed how we wanted it twice and he was patient until we determined exactly what we wanted. On the install day they were professional, clean and went beyond what we expected. We are very pleased with the result. I would definitely hire them again. In fact, I'm already thinking about other projects I would like them to do.

+ -1 moreLet me begin by saying, Daniel Frost (owner) was very friendly and responsive. He came out to discuss my system with me just a few days after I called. Work began shortly thereafter. Work was completed professionally and in a reasonable amount of time. They were able to troubleshoot and make repairs at just about every location. However, I was very unhappy to learn about the markup on the LED bulbs they supplied. I was charged $60 for an LED bulb that I have since purchased at a local lighting store for less than $20 (same exact bulb). And after watching how repairs were made and other fixtures installed, this is work that any reasonable DIY-er can do themself. I believe I was drastically overcharged. I have since installed some path lights for $180, including wire and a new tool, for which they quoted me $900. Now I know I'm using cheaper fixtures, but come on! The work was fine, but the price (learned after the fact) was not.
Description of Work: Landscape lighting system was in disrepair. System repaired and retrofitted with LED lights were possible.

+ -1 moreDaniel came and consulted with me on ideas for outdoor lighting.They do not carry coach lights for mounting on the walls of the house but he advised me on places to shop and that if we ordered them, they could install them for us. He also was familiar with indoor timer wall switches to control the coachlights and he said he would obtain those and include installation of all that, as well. in his bid He explained that the newer LED lights now have softer glow and he advised me that he would be using these and also what to shop for in the coach light bulbs. When they began the project, his crew was efficient and did a great job of hand trenching the yard and replacing the sod so that you could barely tell where the wires were running underground. On the day of installation, we began to look at it and decided to add a few more uplights to some trees in another part of the yard. They were able to return in several days and finish that. They recommended we live with the results and view them at night and let them know if we wanted anything moved. We had one uplight relocated and they were very prompt in coming back to do that. These are high quality LED lights, so they are expensive but we feel confident they will last and not be disturbed by the deer and other wildlife or damaged by the elements so easily as the do-it-yourself brands. Daniel and his partner and crew were very dependable and nice to work with. Our home has so much more curb appeal and is safer and MUCH more energy efficient with the LED's. These do not have the harsh glare that early LED's used to have and are like incandescent lighting now.
Description of Work: Removed old outdoor lighting. Installed and provided landscape lighting, path lights and a timer/transformer. Also installed new coachlights on the house that we purchased elsewhere. Installed timer switches indoors to control the coach lights, as well. .

Out Door Lighting suggested landscape lights installed at the base of 6 medium sized trees that shine straight up. Low voltage with a timer that never has to be set, and works year round. Their solution was perfect. We've had several complimants from friends and neighbors.

+ -1 moreThose guys were wonderful! They actually came out and did 3 different set ups of the different lighting. It was kind of like a different scheme for us and let us choose. We talked to them and told them what we like and what we didn't like. They came out and reset those lights and did stuff 3 times. On that third time, it was like, we knew it and we loved it. Not too many companies will do that for us. These guys were awesome. It was Daniel and Jeremy. I've never had anybody that actually catered to us like these guys did. I just couldn't say enough good about them. I thought they were a little high on the price but we got what we paid for. When I told them what I wanted, they were here the next day and set up.
