My sisters and I were getting ready to put our father's villa on the market. Two of the things needed were replacement of a sidelight unit located on the front entry and replacement of a window with a bad seal that caused it to appear foggy. Setting up the appointments for the evaluation and the installation were very pleasant and professional. The Metropolitan Glass Co. Installer, Rob, evaluated the two windows. He assured me that the replacement sidelight would match the other sidelight beside the front door and it does. This was a huge relief because it effects the curb appeal of the villa. Rob looked at the window with the bad seal and informed me that it was probably still under warranty with the manufacturer. Rob made the arrangements for a replacement window under warranty! We are so happy with the windows installed by Metropolitan Glass Co. Rob was very helpful and personable. I would definitely contact Metropolitan Glass Co. again.

The process went smoothly. The two pieces were cut to the dimensions that I requested and available for pickup on the agreed upon date. No complaints.

I called to discuss my needs with Metro. They give me my options over the phone. I made a selection and secured it by credit card. They were straight forward and no frills in their dealings. They produced a good product. Their prices are fairly high, but they are reliable. I would use them again. I would give them a B+ if it existed...or an A if their prices were better.

They did a great job. An experienced professional agent gave me an explanation and bid for the job and then the same person came back and installed the door. No problems with the door.

We did a complete remodel of our master bath, which included building a glass enclosed shower on two sides with a door, and Onyx walls on the other two sides. The shower and bench (with lots of faucets and grab bars) went very well and looks great. We were pleased with everything in the remodeled bathroom that a local "kitchen and bath" storefront contractor did. However, from day one, the shower leaked at the bottom in the corner where the door attaches to the wall. The contractor foreman, who we really like, couldn't fix the leak. He tried many, many things to fix it, but although it decreased the leak a little bit, the shower still leaked every time I took a shower. It wasn't just a little leak -- if I didn't put a washrag on the floor, the pool of water would be 8 or 10 inches across. The contractor foreman said that these showers never leak, and couldn't understand how it could. The contractor owner said I must be taking showers the wrong way. That really irritated me. So I decided to try an expert (if I could find one) to try their hand at fixing my leak. I looked at Angie's List and found Metropolitan Glass Co. that said they installed glass shower enclosures. I made an appointment and Rob showed up on time. He looked and looked and couldn't find an obvious reason for the leak. But after much analysis, he figured the plastic lip on the bottom of the door was lower by the wall than it was by the other end of the door. He put some caulking on the pan floor that sloped from the hinged wall to halfway of the length of the door. He wasn't sure that that would fix the problem, but he was hopeful. He didn't even charge for the try, because he wasn't sure he fixed it (how professional is that!). His fix did work and now we have a shower that doesn't leak one drop. I highly recommend this company not only for their expertise to fix something that a kitchen and bath contractor couldn't (even though they install lots of glass enclosed showers), but also for their professionalism in how they dealt with me in every way.

This job went extremely well. Everything was done on schedule and I was kept informed of the progress of the order along the way. These guys are true professionals from the time I called to schedule an estimate to the time the glass was installed, they did a great job. They were professional, courteous, responsive, and reliable. I couldn't recommend them any more highly.

Extremely impressed. The quality and workmanship is nothing short of impressive! Details such as a mitered corner takes considerable time to complete (and why other competitors likely do not want to even consider doing one). In addition, this is a small shop. As such, Rob who will measure and talk to you about the details, will also be who installs the glass (vs a salesman who makes promises but it does not get communicated to whoever shows up to install). Yes, their price may be a little bit more expensive, but you do get what you are paying for.

Everything went well. Item was ready on time and looked great except the measurements I provided were not right. So we had to cut a little more off. No charge, done in 2 days. Looks great in our book case. They were very easy to deal with, very friendly. .

We have not picked up the finished mirror yet. But their customer service on dropping off the frame was amazing.

The first office woman called to say no one was home when they came to my house. Second office woman said they didn't come here. Second woman said she couldn't reach me by phone. The two office women need align their excuses.

Metropolitan glass did a great job on all fronts. Rob and his partner arrived on time with our glass for the table and buffet. It fit perfectly, had beautiful beveled edges and they cleaned it before putting it down on the table. In the bathroom they adjusted our 8 ft tall clear glass shower door that was not swinging past the other part of the glass shower. They were very particular of how it hung and cleared the statuary glass. They ended up completely removing the door and reinstalling it correctly which had not been done originally. They also meticulously removed all of the silicon sealer at the base of the glass frame and resealed it. It is so nice having a shower that does not leak. They are obviously well trained in their trade and pride themselves in doing quality work. It is nice to find reputable service professionals in a new city.

Everything went very well, as usual. Rob, our installer even called to ask if he could arrive before our scheduled appointment time, which was fine with us. We started using Metropolitan Glass Co. through Angie's list and have always been treated with the utmost respect by everyone there. Hats off to them again for another job well done from start to finish. Metropolitan Glass Co. is truly a first class company with whom you can trust to get the job done right.

Ann, the owner, was most helpful when I called about my request. She told me what it would cost per hour and the approximate length of time to accomplish the work. Given the scope of the work, she felt it would require two men to accomplish the task. I was just very happy to hear it could be done! The two gentlemen who did the work, Rob and Rich, arrived on time, went right to work, and took great care in removing the mirrors, containing any work related materials, and getting the mirror sections out of the building. They were friendly, efficient, and very neat. I will certainly be utilizing Metropolitan Glass Company again -- only this time it will be to install some new mirrors following completion of some major renovations.

We have never replaced a mirror before. The ladies in the front office were very nice and explained everything to us. They did exact measurement on the spot and gave us a quote which was right on the mark. A couple of weeks later the mirror was done perfectly and now hangs majestically in our home. We have already brought them another glass replacement project. It was easier than we thought and we felt like the pricing was very fair.

We brought in frame, although pick up and delivery were available. When we went to pick up finished piece AFTER we paid, I saw the Angie's List award on the wall. I made a comment that I had not noticed this before. The owner then calculated how much her offered Angie's List discount was and RAN A CREDIT on my card. I was impress, since this cost her not only the discount-but also a credit card transaction fee. What a great experience. Thanks Ann!

It was pretty cool. They would've come out but I saved $90 by bringing it in. They told me that. It's a basement window. It's really easy to pop out of the frame and to take it in to them. I thought it was great. She surprised me. It was like a quarter til 5 and they closed at 5 and she took the time to take it in back and they fixed it before I got out of there. I didn't have any intention of leaving with a fixed window but I did. It was pretty good. It was probably because I told them I got them name on Angie's List.

We had a broken pane of glass on one of our garage windows. Metropolitan Glass Company was the only company I could find in the St Louis Metro area that would come to my home to replace the broken pane. They were able to come the next day after I called them and did an excellent job replacing the glass! I would highly recommend their company.

The folks who run the store are wonderful, knowledgeable and totally professional. I called them to see if they could do the work and the owner told me to bring the material in, she took over from there and did a wonderful job.

This company is incredibly responsive and customer friendly. I called several glass companies to receive a bid for removing a wall of mirrored glass from a home we're purchasing. Many companies were reluctant to give an estimate - but not Metropolitan Glass! The woman who answered the call was responsive and did not hesitate to "ballpark" the cost, site unseen. She also made recommendations for me that would help me save money on the cost to remove the mirrors and the cost to keep cost down on the end table glass covers I wanted. We have not yet had the work done, but I definitely plan to use them in the future thanks to the friendly woman who answered the phone and ALL of my questions!

I called them in early May after a severe hail storm broke the window. They gave me a rough estimate over the phone based on the general size of the window pane. The installer came out on May 11th and took measurements. They called a week later to tell me the glass was ready and to schedule the install. They had to cancel twice on the day of the appointment due to accidents. I don't fault them for that because obviously accidents happen and it's beyond their control. My only complaint about the cancellations is that the first time they had to cancel they said they would call me back to reschedule and they didn't. I had to call them back several days later to schedule a new appointment.The installer finally came out on June 13th to replace the window. When he got up on the ladder outside, he realized his initial measurements were wrong and they would have to order a new window. Although the installer told me they would rush the order, it still took three weeks before they called me to tell me the new window was in.The window was finally installed on July 13th. The installer showed up on time and did a good job of cleaning up the broken glass outside. Unfortunately the first time it rained the window leaked and I ended up with a puddle in my kitchen. I called them back on July 30th and a different installer came out on August 8th to fix the leak.Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful, and the work was eventually done correctly, but the overall experience was disappointing.

Metropolitan glass was great. The service was punctual, professional and perfect. They installed a glass wall & door to the open wall of our walk in shower. The work is perfect. Everything was explained in detail before & after the work was performed. I would definitely recommend them for any glass needs. Thanks!
