Quickly tackled a job for us! Would hire again

Absolutely ecstatic about the job Major League Painting did for me in painting two upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms (walls, ceilings, trim, doors). Josh and Jeff worked quickly, efficiently and their finished job was perfection. I could not be more pleased. They also are super nice guys and are meticulous in doing things right. There were no hidden charges, they completed in 3 days and cleaned up nicely. The cost was very fair, especially considering the quality of work. I really feel they went above and beyond. My only regret is I didn't find out about them sooner, as they put the contractor who painted my first floor to shame. Would absolutely hire them again and will be recommending them to my friends in St Louis.

From the bid process to the actual exterior painting and work done I was highly pleased with the work performed by Major League Painting. The lead on the job was Josh who was meticulous, thorough, helpful, courteous, and timely and responsive to all my requests and changes. I worked with Kristen on the bid and she was very responsive, very prompt, and gave me a very competitive bid with excellent work. I would definitely work with them again

Excellent from the beginning! Kristen came out to give us the quote. She was very helpful and patient with my color indecision. Josh and Jeff were professional and did a fantastic job in two days. Could not have asked for more. Paint job is beautiful. They even went above and beyond by painting a small wall in our pantry that we completely forgot about. Wall repair work was perfect. Would not hesitate to hire again. If you need painters, these are your guys. Thank you!

The service went really well. They were really good at a good price. They were quick. They finish painted the deck in 2 days, and the schedule was around the range. The finished product was really good.

It went great from start-quick estimate to finishing the project right on time. Josh was the person who did the work, and he was just outstanding-he works meticulously and is an expert with his tools and his painting. I would certainly hire Major League Painting again and recommend them highly!

This company is under new management. They contracted to do a job for which they did not have personnel to do finish level work. After MANY trips back to attempt to fix the errors and re paint, we finally just gave up. I have pictures to back up this.

We would recommend Major League to others. Quality work, attention to detail and followed up to ensure that we were happy with every aspect of their work. Our house is 3 stories on the back and Major League was attentive to detail at the highest elevations! They also touched up a few spots indoors hole completing the outdoor also.

The Major League team was great from the beginning estimate to scheduling to getting the work done. Rob's team was friendly, professional and very hard working. They showed up as scheduled, worked hard and the end result is beautiful. I will be using them again.

I am extremely impressed from the beginning to the end of our home painting project. Rob was very attentive when listening to our needs, including my attention to detail and desire for work done precisely. His estimate was emailed within a day, and the price was very competitive. He was honest about the starting date from the day the contract was signed and let me know that the schedule can change due to weather, which can change the ending date. The painters were very courteous, kind and professional! Their attention to detail was amazing! If there was an area that didn't look perfect, they would let me know that they will go back to it and make it right as soon as the paint dried and they were able to touch it up. Several special needs came up that weren't seen in advance as the work was done. It was handled very professionally and quickly. We had to have a rotted board replaced, and there was a specific concern with our ceiling that was remedied perfectly. All detail work like caulking and scrapping was done before the painting began. We used the highest quality Sherwin-Williams paint, Emerald, and it had to be brushed on. It was labor intensive, but was very worth the extra money! At the end of the project, the painters listened to any concern I had and remedied it quickly. They were only small concerns, and picky on my part, but they attended to it quickly and were happy to do it. I highly recommend Major League Painting! This is a quality company from the beginning to the end of the project!

Rob, the owner, was pleasant and responsive. He submitted his bid quickly, and modified the contract to include a screened porch ceiling. I followed up to ensure that the foundation walls were included in his bid, and he never responded to that request (nor were they painted). The painter was supposed to start on a Monday or Tuesday, but did not arrive until Wednesday morning. I arrived to the property at 10:15 am and the painter was already leaving for the day since he had been "pulled for another job." Inside the home, the painter had reconnected a sink that had been removed to get access to water (even though there were outside faucets) and he had left exterior spotlight bulbs disconnected and lying in the yard. He had also taken out the upper screen on my back porch door (I have no idea WHY). At that time, it seemed that more than half of the painted surfaces had been painted, including all of the garage door and garage area, soffits, porch ceiling, and window frames as well as half of the front door area and part of the front door. He said he would be back later in the week. I am not sure when he arrived back at the property, but by Friday everything had been painted. On Monday, I emailed Rob with photos of the work that had been "completed." It was spotty, the areas had clearly not been sanded or taped prior to painting, and the front door was terrible with drips, smears, and paint on the knob, lock, and peephole. The area over the garage had tons of poor coverage areas. Rob responded that his painter would come back on Wednesday morning to fix the problems. On Thursday morning, I arrived to find that my front door had been left open all night without anyone notifying me. My back screen door was still missing the screen, and the screen was no longer on the property where as before it had been on the ground. While the painter had clearly put on another coat of paint, the areas were still unsanded, he had painted the front door knob, peephole, and doorbell, and there was white paint on the wood floors in the entry of the home. At this point, I took more photos and contacted Rob via email to say that the work was unsatisfactory and that i would like a refund as the entire job minus the soffits and porch ceiling would have to be completely redone, as well as having my wood floors sanded and stained. He did respond saying that he had photos, that he thought it looked great, and that they went "above and beyond" in trying to finish the job. I was unable to respond to his email until the following Monday (today), and as I sat down to set up a time to walk the property with him, I realized that he had charged my credit card without my permission. Unacceptable. I have disputed the charges with my credit card company and have contacted Rob via phone and email. I have not received a response. I do not know if they were too busy to devote enough time to properly paint my property or if they were just lazy, but their work was sloppy, unprofessional, and ultimately more expensive than hiring someone else at a higher bid. I do not recommend them.

Major League did an excellent job painting our home. They used high quality Sherwin Williams products. We were able to specify all colors and finishes. They patched, caulked, repaired, and prepped properly. Trim and finish work was outstanding. We would highly recommend and will hope to use their services in the future.

Major League Painting is a terrific company! From the first contact with Rob (the owner) to the end of the project they were spot on. They came exactly when they said they would and finished early. Loved working with Rob, the three painters and their carpenter. All aspects of the project were competed with excellence. We loved that they sent a team because they could move the project forward quickly. Our master bath, master bathroom and our closet were all part of the project so we were anxious to get everything back in its place. So, they did these areas first---no problem. When we had a special request, it was always "no problem." The evening after the project was completed, we saw one tweak we wanted. The very next morning the crew chief was back and took care of the problem and said: "There is something that has been bugging me." He had noticed that the inside of our front door (the inside of the front door was not part of the project) looked smudged and scratch. So, he went ahead and painted it as long as he was here. Awesome! All this with a competitive price. You will be very, very pleased if you use this company.

Outstanding work-we are so pleased with the new look of the inside of our home. Rob and his team including Ed, Eddie, Steve, Jim, and all did a great job! They were always on time, very professional, cleaned up at the end of each day, and managed the challenges as they came up with. They were flexible to help us with items that were not initially discussed, charged a very fair rate, and owned the process. You could sense they wanted the home to be transformed and for us to be pleased. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Rob and his team were very professional, they explained to me the work they would do with assurances I would be more than pleased with the out-come. My house mimicked all the other houses in my neighborhood (initially) with all white siding and I wanted my red-brick home trimmed in brown and blue. First, we went over the color scheme for the house, including my newly built front porch. Next, they power-washed the siding and the next day prepared the areas for painting. I have many before, during, and after pictures and I smile every time I'm driving past my home - it's beautiful! I get compliments every time someone sees me working in my yard or on my porch. I'm often told it should be [pictured] in Better Homes and Gardens!

After not getting return calls from two other businesses that I found on Angie's List, I saw an advertisement for Major League Remodeling. After researching the company on Angie's List, I gave Rob Lahay a call and left a message. Happily, he returned my call and came to my home shortly thereafter to give me an estimate. I have a rather large, wrap-a-round deck and a small screened-in porch that needed some attention: board replacement, repair work and staining. The quoted price seemed fair so I paid a deposit and got on their schedule. The deck was first power washed, and the following day it was repaired and painted. The crew was excellent. They worked hard all day and cleaned everything up at the end of the day. The only thing they left behind was a much improved deck. I am very happy with the work done by Major League Remodeling and will not hesitate to call them again.

Very impressive. Hired Major League to paint a large section of my home's interior to include a room with 20 foot ceilings. In addition, Major League was contracted to paint the wooden, exterior features of the house. In both cases, the completed work was excellent. All surfaces were covered completely and the detail of the work was outstanding. Cut-ins were sharp, wall repairs were professional, and the crew that did the work was top-notch. The price paid for the work received was very fair and in the end, I'm happy to say I would recommend this company to anyone. Thanks to Rob and his crew. Well done, guys!

Overall, it was ok. I received a Living Social.com deal featuring this company for interior paint work but I was not sure that what I needed done would qualify for the deal they were offering so I contacted the company via email. It took a day or two to get a response but after I explained what all I needed done I was given a quote of $100.00 to complete the job which was a better price than the LivingSocial.com deal. We set a date for December 10th at 1pm. I thought that they were going to send a few people to complete the job but on December 10th our doorbell rang at about 1:15pm and the painter, Mike, arrived. He was very nice but my very first impression was that he smelled like cigarette smoke. As a non-smoker it was pretty overpowering as he stood in our foyer. But, he was very kind and took a look at the job that needed to be completed. Once he got the and quot;lay of the landand quot; he got started setting up and started work about 1:45pm. By 6pm on the 10th, Mike said he got a phone call from his boss and that he will have to come back tomorrow to complete the job. I was little aggravated because I took off work early on the 10th to come home to get this completed and I was worried that I was going to get the run around the next day and be left with half painted walls. But, I did have things that I needed to get done so I said, and quot;okand quot; and Mike said he would be back at 1pm the next day, December 11th. I was unable to get off work so my husband, who is a police officer, was able to switch schedules around and be home for Mike to come back and finish the job. At about 12pm I get an email from Felicia with Major League Remodeling that says that Mike cannot come back at 1pm today or at all today and wanted to know my schedule for the 12th. This time I was angry because I was fearful of this happening in the first place and my husband rearranged his scehduled to be home. I told Felicia that this was unacceptable since my husband was home waiting for Mike and that he took off work to be there and that no other dates in the near future would work to have this completed. It had to be completed that day. So, she responded that Mike could be there at 4pm on the 11th and I agreed that I would be there to let him in. He called my cell phone around 3:50pm and let me know he was on his way and arrived at 4pm. It only took about 2 hours and he finished at about 6pm on the 11th. The ceiling work was really nice. I liked what he did with the nail pops. I really like the colors I picked out so it was nice to see it all put together. There were some spots that I saw that needed more attention, cleaner lines, etc. But, I am a perfectionist so I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. There is one spot that really bothers me and that is the wall above the stairs. When you are standing at the top of the stairs, walking down, you can see a section where the two colors meet that is not straight at all. I have not had a chance to fix it yet, but it's on my list. Overall, for $100.00 it was totally worth it. I was a little annoyed that it wasn't done in one day like they said, but going off the description I gave them maybe they thought it was a smaller job than I described. Mike the painter was very nice and kind. He was polite and worked hard. He did a good job. There were some little things here and there but overall it wasn't a bad job, especially for $100.00. You can't beat that. I am very particular so I chalk a lot of things up as me being overly picky. I said that I would not use the company again because I do not have anything more that needs painting in the house and that when the time comes that we move into a new house, I would be way to particular to have them do the paint work in our new home. Every line, corner, edge would have to be near perfect, if that's even possible, and I can't say that I saw perfection out of this paint job. But again, that's me... For the money, I thought they did a great job. If I would have spent more than $100, I don't know that I would have been so pleased but it was the price that totally made it all worth it.

The crew did a great job in painting the exterior of the house. They arrived on time. They paid attention to details. They were very efficient in getting the job done in less than 3 days. Rob Lahay gave me the references, and he was very pleasant to work with, and very reasonable. I would definitely hire them again for my next painting job. I would also like to try their remodeling crew next time.

We met to discuss my wishes and within days the work began. My condominium was transformed in two months' time so that I could move in without needing to store my furniture upon giving up possession of the house I had sold. Whenever I wanted to select items such as faucets or cabinet hardware, Major League was happy to let me do the shopping. When I preferred or needed them to obtain materials, they did so and saved me money in the process. The company doesn't do a lot of advertising or have a fancy showroom, and both of those factors contribute to lower prices for the customer. Another plus is that they tackle fewer projects at any one time, so each home owner become a focus for them and you seldom have a day when workers aren't on the job, getting your project done. Members of the team have been back three times to fine tune little items from the renovation--free. Throughout I felt that I could trust the CEO and president to charge me a fair price and tell me the truth about materials and methods we might consider. In addition, they helped me design and reconfigure my space to make best possible use of compact rooms. Every worker who came to my home was polite and helpful, not just in their assigned tasks but with little things, like moving boxes into the basement from my car or carrying something heavy up the stairs to the living room. When I changed my mind about a paint color after the job had started, they couldn't have been nicer, helping me pick out the perfect substitute. The workers came on time and cleaned up after themselves every time they finished a job. Friends who visit my new home give me many compliments on the place, and several have asked for my contractors' contact information to do work for them. A close friend hired Major League to refinish her basement based on my experience. She had had many remodeling jobs done in her home and said the attention to detail and skill brought by Major League surpassed most of the rest. The head contractor pointed out small items that needed maintenance that she hadn't been aware of and arranged to take care of them to ensure the safety and integrity of her home. Her project, like mine, was finished quickly, professionally, and on budget.

They did a great job. We were very impressed.

Our experience was nothing but positive from start to finish. The owner of the company is very quick to respond to calls or messages, gave me an estimate the same day he came to look at the house and was very realistic and professional about questions and concerns. We were trying to decide between painting or new siding last spring and got lots of estimates and recommendations regarding what we should do. We shelved the project in the spring and then decided 3 weeks before a major event at our house to go ahead. Rob (the owner) was quick to respond and tell me what he was willing to do to get the job done. Due to very hot weather, the crew was delayed in starting and I had a call from Rob by 8am to let me know what was going on together with a promise to do whatever it took to complete the job as promised. The crew was friendly, very helpful and professional. They told me each day what they planned to accomplish and followed through. They were very considerate of the fact that I was home throughout the job with a young child. I was also extremely impressed with how clean they left my property each day- tarps folded and left in the back yard, ladders down and stowed in the back yard, paint chips, buckets, etc., cleaned up every day. The finished house is spectacular! It looks brand new and we couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend this company.
